“The room was relatively small and the amenities were sparse.” Apr 19, 2007 by
Gregory from Dillsburg, PA
“My room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly. The location was convenient to downtown Pittsburgh. I will stay here again.” Apr 12, 2007 by
Aisha from Lebanon, PA
“Definitely what I expected, I just needed a place to sleep, nothing extra, so it was exactly what I needed - there was a TV, so that was a plus.” Mar 23, 2007 by
Sean from Columbia, MD
“Since all I needed was a room to sleep in for one night, it wasn't a total disaster, but its location as "u pit" is stretching it a bit and I had to walk about 10 blocks to find a restaurant other than a fast food chain for a bite to eat for dinner. Would not recommend to anyone traveling to Pittsburgh on business unless they just needed an inexpensive room.” Mar 22, 2007 by
Mike from Chillicothe, OH
“I was put off by the dirty washcloth that was sitting in plain sight when I opened the door. It's a pretty small room and not every room has a dorm fridge and microwave, but the site makes it look that way.” Dec 18, 2006 by
Steve from Lawrenceville, GA
“Economical for downtown Pittsburgh.” Nov 22, 2006 by
John from St. Louis, MO
“The hotel was adequate for our stay. The one thing we did not like was the inability to change our reservations/accommodations. When we asked for a change in accommodations we were unable to make any change.” Nov 15, 2006 by
John from Natick, MA
“It's great for business, inexpensive and clean. There's a Pan era Bread on the first floor that has great food. It's not a romantic getaway or vacation site, but if you need a bed it's a great deal.” Oct 23, 2006 by
Lisa from Cherry Hill, NJ
“It is an old hotel and a little rundown. It has been remodeled but not in the last 15 to 20 years. The rooms are small but clean. The shower was great, lots of water pressure.” Oct 2, 2006 by
Michael from Cedar Grove, NJ
“This hotel was the worst I have stayed in. As a road salesman, I have stayed in all kinds of hotels/motels, and this is by far the worst all around. I tried to change hotels but hotel staff was useless! ” Sep 6, 2006 by
Greg from Boothwyn, PA
“It is perfect for anyone who wants to see what Pittsburgh has to offer in the arts, culture and history departments. This hotel's location is great for those who want to go to the Carnegie Museums and Library. It is also close to Frick and Scenery Parks. It is rather easy to get to Bloomfield, the Strip District for shopping, Southside, Station Square, Andy Warhol Museum and Carnegie Science Center as well. The PUGH Zoo is a slightly longer drive away through the city (10-15 min) and Kenny wood Park a little farther (20-25 min out of the city). Overall this hotel's location is great for families who want to have fun or for couples who want to see the sights.” Aug 10, 2006 by
Teri from Anchorage, AK
“Free parking, good location, people were fine. We took it because it was low-cost, and we were reasonably satisfied with it.” Jul 21, 2006 by
William from Lykens, PA
“Not leisure class by any means, but the Quality Inn University Center is a good, solid choice for a no frills inexpensive stay in Pittsburgh.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.
