• Far exceeded our expectation. It was our 36 year wedding anniversary and we could have not picked a better place to stay.
• We liked it all and will be back.

“I had to attend a training class at noon on the day of check-in. Check-in time is 4:00 PM. I had my wife with me since it was our anniversary and we wanted to spend the weekend in Pittsburgh. When we arrived at the front desk I explained to the lady behind the desk that my wife would be waiting in the lobby until a room is ready, but asked if they could let her in early, so she would not have to sit in the lobby and wait 5 hours for a room. My wife had to wait approximately 1 hour. The front desk called her cell and told her her room is ready. Not any room, the room was out of this world. Excellent view, big flat screen TV and more. Staff was outstanding in customer service. We will be back. Thanks Priceline.”

“Upon arrival, I requested a view of the river and stadium. The clerk took my cell number and called me when the room was available. It was a corner room overlooking the entire north side of the river. Way better than expected.”

• There was nothing I did not like about my stay

“This is the 3rd time I've stayed at the Renaissance and i will not stay anywhere else when I visit Pittsburgh. It is beautiful, luxurious and reasonably priced. The proximity to PNC Park and everything you want in Downtown and Station Square allowed us to walk everywhere. My trip was amazing. Thanks again”

• You walk into the lobby and find it is the most opulent lobby you've ever walked into.
• The area around the hotel at night is not exactly the safest. If you venture too far in any direction, you're likely to come across some shady characters.

“A beautiful marble lobby greets you upon your entrance - it is something reminiscent of palaces of Europe or mansions of the Gilded Age. The rooms are large and luxurious and they even have little extra services like free overnight shoe shines. The staff is friendly and alert.”

• Wonderful hotel property.
• The size of the elevators.

“I have stayed in hundreds of leading luxury hotels all over the world including some of the most exclusive hotels in New York, London, Chicago, etc. I have stayed and will continue to stay at the Renaissance in Pittsburgh as it is my favorite. The boutique nature of the hotel with a cozy wine bar, Sunday Tea, Wonderfully high ceilings and gracious service. My wife and I use this as a local getaway with our children and love each stay.”

• The hotel was perfect for a weekend away with the kids. It was a great location and very upscale for my husband and myself.
• There was a lot of slamming of doors around our room. It was loud during the night and early in the morning.

“We were very pleased with the hotel. It has so much history and was very well kept up. The staff was very friendly. It also had a parking garage across the street that you can use if you chose not to valet. We would not have been able to swim. The hotel uses the Bally's next store and the Bally's is no longer open. Overall it was a great hotel and we would stay there again.”

• The staff gave us a wonderful room with a view of Heinz Field which we were attending for a steeler game.
• The carpet in the room had a few stains.

“The hotel was beautfully decorated and it reminded me of a old hotel. The location was wonderful for the steeler game because you could walk to the stadium. I'm glad I stayed in this hotel, hope to visit again in the summer.”

• Quiet room.
• Room was very small, hotel windows and floor were dirty, difficulty with requesting a taxi with bellman.

“I was not happy with my recent stay at this hotel. As stated above, the hotel front windows were dirty as well as the carpets. My room was very small and the furniture seemed crammed in the room. Traffic in front of the hotel was very congested and requests for taxi's was difficult. Please change the star level for this hotel. It is not meet the 4 star standards.”

“I enjoyed my two day stay at the Renaissance. My wife and I traveled with our granddaughter for Thanksgiving. My granddaughter became ill early on Friday morning. Room service was tremendous in attending to cleaning up and one of the employees by the name of Robert was not only attentive, but will be the primary reason why on my next visit to Pittsburgh that I will stay at the Renaissance again.”

“Our stay at the Renaissance Hotel was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful,and conveniently located in downtown Pittsburgh, across the river from PNC Park. • Convenient to downtown night life and the decor of the hotel was very elegant.
• There was not anything that I did not like.

“The hotel was conveniently located to the PNC Ball Park and there was plenty of night life within easy walking distance. The hotel was elegantly decorated and staff was very friendly. The restaurant and bar in the hotel is a must to visit.”

• Close to restaurants and bars. Clean and beautiful.
• The parking garage across the street doesn't seem to be secure enough. Don't know if they use a different garage to do the valet parking?

“Had an excellent time at the hotel. It was close to the Mellon center about a 10-15 minute walk. Service was excellent, bed was very comfortable and we had a good time in general. The parking might be a concern for anyone thinking about traveling there.”

“The hotel and room was beautiful. The location was great. We were in town for a concert and was able to walk there. The staff was excellent and informative, they recommended some great restaurants and places to go. My husband and I enjoyed Pittsburg thoroughly and are looking forward to returning and staying at the Renaissance.”

• Great staff, bed and bedding was super comfortable.
• No options for a quick breakfast on weekends, no coffee at 6am.

“Excellent, but no complimentary breakfast is the only downfall. Staff was super friendly and professional and can be right in the middle of the Cultural District when you step out the door, including looking at PNC Park across the river.”

• Excellent ambiance, Opus dining experience wonderful, super room.
• Loved everything.

“From the curbside bell staff to the desk, everyone was courteous and anxious to assist. We had a small appetizer in the Bridge Bar that was excellent. Our room was quiet, clean and beautiful. The views of the river and stadiums was spectacular. Their dining room, Opus, has a new menu with delicious selections and great presentation. Very historical and expansive inside. I can't wait to revisit and would recommend highly.”
