- A few problems, but staff was absolutely excellent in taking care of them.
- With one problem, we notified the desk and nothing was done until the next day when we notified them again.
“Very pleasant staff. Hotel appears a bit shabby in places, and has a slightly noticeable smell throughout the entire hotel (not really unpleasant, but it caused my wife to start sneezing as soon as we walked in). I expect people who work there wouldn't notice it.”

- Air conditioner did not and the staff, with the exception of manger, did not act like they cared.

- The indoor/outdoor pool was cool.
- Room was not as well kept as I would have expected.

- Bed was very comfortable and star bucks coffee in room.
- The hallways were a little muggy and the carpet in our hotel room was in need of replacement.
“I would stay here again if needed. It is outside of Downtown Charleston, but still easy to get to. The rooms were spacious, but some things (carpet) were in need of replacement. The room had a coffee maker and star bucks coffee was provided. The room also included a microwave and a mini fridge!”

- The pool area is great!
- Small bathrooms!
“The rooms are average, however the beds are quite comfortable. The pool area is a nice bonus with large and very cushy furniture to lounge on. The hotel bar is nice with a good selection of drinks. The staff was very helpful and you can get a fridge and microwave upon request for free!”

- Location is convenient to major highway, food, shops and performing arts center/coliseum.
- Clogged drains, poor housekeeping service.
“The hotel has been renovated so it looks nice but don't judge this place by its looks. I had to ask for toilet paper upon arrival and on the second day I had to ask for towels since housekeeping did not come to our room. Shower drain was clogged and first person to fix it left a big mess and didn't have the proper tools to fix it. Had to wait until next day and it was late in the afternoon before that was fixed. The towels either had holes in them or were frayed. No fridge or safe in room.”

Not within walking distance of "Historic Charleston", but not that far. Immediate area had no charm, but plenty of parking and quick access to HWY.”

- Liked the size of this hotel. All areas were in easy walking distance.
- Part of the commode in my room was missing. Part that screws it to floor. This looked bad.
“Locks on 2 of the rooms we had did not work properly. We got another key card and that worked for 1 of the rooms. A worker had to be called for the 2nd room, he got the door open, however, it was late 12:00 mid night. The lock would not work for them to lock it and leave the room. If they had gone out of the room, they would not have been able to get back in. While this lock was being worked on they stayed in my room. They had 2 small children, it was very uncomfortable for them. The night we checked in, one of the men in our party went to desk asking for a cart for our luggage. He was told that one would be forthcoming. We waited for 30 mins with no cart. He finally went in search for one. He found it in a small closet type room.”

- Loved the pool and the shop had reasonable prices.
- The room was just plain dirty. A nice hotel with an awful cleaning staff and obviously weak management.
“This hotel is in a great location, has great parking, and a fantastic indoor/outdoor pool. My one and only complaint is how dirty it was. There was half eaten food under the beds, the carpets were stained and frayed, and the bathtub was stained. All of the problems could have been fixed with a good scrubbing. I think the problem was low standards. Everything else about the hotel was great but cleanliness, especially for someone with young children, is a top priority.”

“This hotel is in very poor condition, except for the lobby. The staff is not responsive with obviously low morale. Bathroom fixtures were all loose and the shower sprayed water everywhere. The rooms were not clean. This was an old building, not well maintained and in a fairly dangerous part of town. Not nearly a three star hotel, more likely 1.5 to two. Worst hotel I have stayed in. Not a good experience at all.”

- Driving in a strange town to find another hotel!
“How can you let them do this? 2 years ago in Myrtle beach they tried doing this to us too but I talked them into finding us a room at their hotel. This Sheraton has a list of 9 guest that they had sold their rooms and moved us to a cheaper hotel. Our arrival from the West Coast was at 10 pm. Who feels like having to hunt for another room.”

- The location was real close to the airport and the interstate.
- Dogs were barking both nights we were there.
“We arrived at the hotel and went up to our room. The room smelled terribly of smoke even though it was marked non-smoking. We called to the front desk and the lady said they'd send someone up with some air freshener. We didn't like that solution so we went back downstairs and got a new room. We got back upstairs and the key didn't work so we went back downstairs. When we finally got into the room it smelled better and the comforter on the bed was not messed up like the first room. Both nights we stayed, a dog was barking until late at night so it was hard to sleep. Also, the room was hot even though we had the AC set to 62 degrees.”

“We stayed at this same hotel approx. 2 weeks prior to this stay. It was a wonderful experience for our European guests as well as us. When we realized we were going back to Charleston Sc. We wanted to stay in the same hotel. That is where we made our first mistake! From the moment we entered the hotel at 2:00 pm until 11:00 pm the first night and after a room change it only went downhill from there. The stay ended with the shower head had no water pressure, not just the water saver, but encrusted with debris to the sink faucet falling into my hand when I tried to brush my teeth looking down at the top of the faucet not covered by the round cover staring at even more mold! I tried to turn off the faucet and it fell into my hand. My husband and I spent the day traveling (trying to be accommodating to our guests) with soap and slime from our attempt to shower touring Charleston. There were so many problems in between, I do not want to spend the time it took to live through them all! This was a stay that I will never want to repeat!! The hotel staff was made aware of every issue. Although, they did comp us a dinner on the first night by the time we received our meal. It was over an hour after we placed the order and it was approx. 11:00 pm, a bit too late to finally have dinner and too exhausted and frustrated to attempt to eat. I am hoping the hotel will be made aware of both of my surveys and do some type of audit on each of their rooms. The employees were so casual about letting us know they were aware of these issues in the rooms but were frustrated they were having to 'go through the process' in repairing each of the problems. Unfortunately, their guests are the only audit they have for these such repairs. My issue is, I pay for a clean room, working shower, clean sink.”

“I wish we stayed somewhere else. Good things: location very convenient to downtown using I-26, nice-looking room, friendly staff, fancy decor in lobby; indoor pool looked good. Great Starbucks coffee in room. Bad things: Old hotel. Our door stuck from humidity, and this was April. No wastebasket in room; few TV channels; didn't see a breakfast room, bathroom layout too small. We won't be back.”

- Location is not the best.
“The Sheraton has been in North Charleston for many years and maintains its high quality. The staff was great, the restaurant was great, and the hotel is lovely. However, the area has declined over the years and somewhat detracts from the overall experience. This in no way is the fault of Sheraton. Too bad for North Charleston.”

- It was convenient to Downtown Charleston only about 15 minutes away.
- They did not clean or make our bed after the first night. The tableside lights and clock didnt work.
“The hotel was clean but when the repair man came to fix the table lights and alarm clock he pulled out the bed and jiggled the wires. They worked then but as soon as we moved the bed back they didnt work anymore. Plus he didnt move the bed back and our room was never cleaned after the initial night.”

- Wonderful bed.
- Bathroom rather small.

- The location, pool and other amenities. The courtyard view and outdoor pool is lovely and comfortable.
- Two out of the three rooms were smoking and I prefer non-smoking.
