“We only spent one night so hard to rate. Sister-in-law very unhappy that after calling first for an okay, when they got there, hotel would not let her and family check in early to prepare for a wedding due to "power failure" (which they had at the time of her phone call).” May 31, 2007 by
Stephanie from Grayslake, IL
“This hotel was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. It was filthy, smelled like vomit, was run down, out dated, there was no food left at the restaurant and was absolutely horrible! ” May 29, 2007 by
Sarah from Brooklyn, NY
“Although the exterior of the hotel is brown, boxy, and pretty unattractive, the room was very nice. It had a big, comfy bed and was quiet enough that I could get some rest. The pool itself was very nice, although it is situated in the middle of the parking lot (with walls around it so that you cannot see the parking lot) rather than on the beach-front, which is a little unfortunate. The food was tasty although the dinner was a tad overpriced. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. They have wireless internet access but no public computer, so I think they'd be better off with a public computer and a gift shop of some sort that can sell toiletries, snacks, etc.” May 23, 2007 by
Richard from Bonita Springs, FL
“Not a good time with the upcoming closing for remodeling the hotel. Super location.” May 7, 2007 by
Jon from Centerton, AR
“OC Beach Resort is a nice place to stay located on the beach but we found it hard to find a reasonable place to eat.” May 5, 2007 by
Chris from Dallas, TX
“The location is excellent but the hotel staff, especially the blond, female bar tender was very bad. The first key I was given didn't work in the door so I had to get another room. The lock was broken on the patio door on my first floor room and one of my co-workers was given the wrong rental car by the hotel valet.” May 3, 2007 by
Daniel from Carrollton, TX

“The room was nice. The hallways were hot and stinky.” Apr 29, 2007 by
B from Madison, WI
“The staff & the common areas were great. Very convenient access to the beach & beach "toys" (for a fee). The valet parking staff was courteous but price for valet parking was too high. My room had a musty smell in the carpet & we asked for a new room or someone to clean the carpet. They did clean the carpet but the smelled remained. I was glad when it was time to leave.” Apr 26, 2007 by
Judy from Putnam, CT
“Very deceptive practice to say it is a resort and then charge $12 per beach chair per day to sit on the beach which is listed as an amenity. Also, hotel is about to close and be refurbished - some parts very shabby and a few staff were very grumpy about losing their jobs although most were very nice.” Apr 21, 2007 by
Kris from Birmigham, MI
“Nice average hotel on the beach. Do not expect first class attitudes or accommodations. Food is ok not great and the staff was not trained for the Ritz. If this hotel was not on the beach I would not stay there not even for a dollar.” Apr 19, 2007 by
Nicole from Brattleboro, VT
“After the front desk person said she'd be happy to reserve an ocean front double bed room for me (since it was still being cleaned), someone who did not wear a name tag or introduce herself to me, let me know that I¿d have to pay to "upgrade." I took another room as I was too tired to argue and the room (although with no view) was fine. Subsequently, I witnessed 3 other travelers experience exactly the same issue - I didn't spend that much time in the lobby, so if I saw 3 people irate about the same problem - well, you can figure that one out. I also saw a woman walk-out after she visited her room to find someone else's luggage already in it. Finally, and this is really troublesome, management left letters under every room door announcing that the city planned to turn off the water the night I left (thank goodness) for 4 hours between 1 and 5 a.m. - no big deal except she suggested that to "flush" one should take water from the swimming pool (in what.?)(Isn¿t this a bit unsanitary to put it mildly?) And, maybe worse, since the water would not be safe to drink for the next 48 to 72 hours, bottled water would be on sale in the attached restaurant (warehouse food warmed up, by the way). I am so glad I did not have to witness the fight for drinking water scenes! And whatever you do, don't get in the pool.” Apr 13, 2007 by
Boris from Brooklyn, NY
“I liked everything except the noise heard from the adjacent room.” Apr 1, 2007 by
Ted from Marietta, GA
“I enjoyed the stay; the staff was definitely on their game, clean, polished and spacious public areas. I would revisit the hotel.” Mar 28, 2007 by
Pam from Hubbardston, MA
“This hotel was billed as a three star hotel. In previous three star hotels that we have stayed at, we have not been afraid to use the bathroom. This bathroom was dirty and the water was tan every time we used the shower. The hotel charged a ridiculous rate for parking, use of beach chairs, and food/drinks. We would not stay there again.” Mar 26, 2007 by
Joe from Orlando, FL
“Overall good hotel. Expected a little better for Palm Beach.” Mar 26, 2007 by
Rosie from St. Louis, MO
“We truly enjoyed our stay. We were treated respectfully and our needs were seen to immediately. Our room was cleaned daily and the view from our room was gorgeous. We would definitely stay again!” Mar 24, 2007 by
John from Gayord, MI
“Excellent combination of proximity to business and beach fun. Solid classy with updated decor. Definitely a cut above the ordinary hotel quality.” Mar 22, 2007 by
Brian from Howell, NJ
“A great hotel/resort located right on the water in palm beach/lake worth area. A short walk over the intercostals waterway bridge brings you to the downtown shopping and bar areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach was nice, but the use of lounge chairs and umbrellas cost a decent $. Valet parking is required and costs about $20/day.” Mar 21, 2007 by
Terry from Springfield, MO
“Staff is friendly. Hotel was an older property that had been redone but was nice. We loved walking out of our room onto the beach. The food was very good.” Mar 20, 2007 by
Jessica from Gahanna, OH
“The hotel was fine, but I was very disappointed that everything cost extra. ” Mar 19, 2007 by
Nelson from Fairfax, VA
“This is a 2.5 star hotel that has aspirations of 3 stars that aren't met by the details. ” Mar 18, 2007 by
Ken from Plymouth, MA
“This hotel is for families that just want to relax and do nothing. This is no refrigerator in the room, so no way to save on food costs. Nice large pool and beautiful beach in front. Driving through palm beach is a different world.” Mar 17, 2007 by
Dave from Rahway, NJ
“Very nice hotel, but in order to stay there, you must valet park.” Mar 17, 2007 by
Victor from Richfield, OH
“Right on the beach, this was nice. Parking fee of $18.00 was way to high. Slow service at the restaurant. Lots of mold, smelled bad in my room due to prior guests smoking. My recommendation is The Fairfield Inn across the street was very clean gave me free breakfast, newspaper, free web access, and I had no breathing problems.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Dallas E. from Loganville, GA
“Beach was nice. Could not take your own umbrella or chair or drink on their beach. Needed a little updating as far as carpet, etc. is concerned. Pool and area was very nice.” Mar 7, 2007 by
Matthew from Charlotte, NC
“Not a bad place. Not convenient to any shopping/restaurants, but would stay for a beach vacation if had more food options. Had to stay in a smoking room. A little disappointing.” Mar 6, 2007 by
Craig from Swansea, IL
“This hotel has allotted of possibilities. I spoke with other customers and they felt the same way. This hotel was not a 4 star hotel; the location was nice but not quite unto my expectations. Valet parking was a charge and service that was not needed. They should automatically charge more for the room and then give the valet service away for free. The hallways were not air-conditioned. The carpets in the rooms were stained and the bathroom wallpaper was in need of replacement. The mirror in the bath was in need of being replaced. The little patio and the view of the ocean were nice. The TV worked but could be upgraded. The shower head looked like it had not been cleaned in 20 years and needed to be replaced. The dresser drawers were in need of being replaced. This hotel has possibilities but the rooms needed an upgrade to be considered a 3 1/2 or 4 star hotel. I would no recommend this hotel to any friends. If it were updated with paint and new carpets and a few other upgrades, I would recommend it.” Mar 3, 2007 by
Barbara from Smyrna, GA
“It's a nice older hotel, but not convenient to anything. The rooms are large but the bathroom needs some updating. The beds are really great. The beach is narrow and the pool is in the middle of the parking lot out front. The valet parking is a joke because you could walk to your car directly in front of you yourself. It's not even covered parking for $18/day.” Mar 3, 2007 by
Chuck from Aberdeen, ID
“The location is great and the staff was very cordial. The cleanliness- especially the bathrooms- could use some help.” Mar 1, 2007 by
Sharon from Scottsboro, AL
“Called service desk twice and still was not able to take a nice hot soak. Water was lukewarm at best. Very disappointing. Plenty of empty parking spaces, but valet parking required.” Feb 28, 2007 by
Tom from Bow, NH
“We had no hot water for the four days (boiler broke). $20 per night to park car in open lot. Could not get into our room until 4:15 in the afternoon and the maid never finished making the room. My son found a woman's watch in his bed that "had fresh sheets.¿ the wifi failed for two days. The front desk staff was pleasant under extreme distress.” Feb 27, 2007 by
Peter from Woodside, NY
“The location is excellent. Short on staff - from housekeeping to front desk. $18 parking is rather excessive.” Feb 27, 2007 by
David from Commack, NY
“This property is no longer a 3 star hotel. It is poorly staffed, although the employees are helpful and friendly. It will be torn down soon, I am told.” Feb 26, 2007 by
Rob from Atlanta, GA
“Hilton was wise to sell this property. This hotel was overpriced and poorly decorated. The rooms were small. Public space access was poor. I would not recommend staying here.” Feb 25, 2007 by
Jim &. from Wareham, MA
“An excellent hotel with beautiful views of both the intra-coastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean. Restaurant staff and food are unique and attentive. Beach staff are friendly and helpful without being intrusive. The hotel has a relaxed and yet professional atmosphere. Rooms are cleaned early and impeccably done. I would recommend this hotel to friends and relatives. ” Feb 21, 2007 by
Michael from New York, NY
“I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. There was a problem with gaining entrance to the room. Engineering had to be called many times. I would stay at the hotel again. The staff was exceptional.” Feb 17, 2007 by
Fred from Iselin, NJ
“I would say this hotel had maybe 35% occupancy during the stay. ” Feb 15, 2007 by
Christian from Springfield, VA
“The amenities were above average for a resort hotel on the beach, the personnel friendly and attentive, and the rooms comfortable. Food, beverages, and parking were overpriced. Location was excellent.” Feb 15, 2007 by
Hal from Newport, KY
“Simply the hotel is in need of a light renovation. New carpeting in room would make a big difference in impression. Staff was friendly and helpful, but it always seemed they were understaffed as breakfast and lunch took too much time. Outside table cloths should be replaced.” Feb 14, 2007 by
Shawn from Indianapolis, IN
“Hotel was great but rude receptionist that checked us into the room stands out in my wife's memory. All else was great.” Feb 14, 2007 by
Avihu from Potomac, MD
“This hotel is not 3.5 star qualities, 2 at most. Although it has a privileged location right at the beach, it urgently requires a remediation. Then it can be 5 stars. at present, its furniture is old, plumbing didn't work right, mattress was so soft it felt like you drowned in the middle, etc.” Feb 13, 2007 by
Ruth from Pawcatuck, CT
“Had two rooms at this hotel. One overlooked a dirty canopy facing the parking lot. Bed was very comfortable, but the room was like a chain hotel room in decor. Paying $18 a night for parking is ridiculous. The parking lot is not big enough for valet parking. Shower had no hot water early in the morning. Not too great for the price. All you¿re paying for here is the beach. Hotel is badly in need of bathroom renovations.” Feb 11, 2007 by
Robin from Bemidji, MN
“The ocean club beach resort was a very nice place to stay. It sits on a beautiful beach in south palm beach. The staff was very friendly. The bar on site closes at 11:00 but the bartender there is more than willing to keep it opens later if people come. The only thing I have to complain about is that we had to pay for our vehicle to park in their hotel parking lot.” Feb 11, 2007 by
Juan M. from Reston, VA
“The hotel is nice and clean, even if I got a view of the parking lot. Nice common areas and easy access to the beach. Should I know that, I would have stayed closer to my meeting location. ” Feb 10, 2007 by
Clara from Virginia Beach, VA
“Good location for price.” Feb 7, 2007 by
Rick from Melrose, MA
“The co is a nice hotel. Located at the southern end of palm beach, right across the bridge from lake worth. Easy ride into that town, easy connection to the main roads (1, 5 and 95). As with all hotels where the air conditioners run 24/7, they were a bit noisy, but got used to it after the first night. My second stay here. Beach chairs rental is pricey. Would most likely stay there again if I go back to the palm beach area.” Feb 4, 2007 by
Tom from Royal Palm Beach, FL
“They will be demolishing the facility in a year, to build a new facility. Until then, I would say this is a good romantic getaway. I wouldn't travel there on business because of 1) no business center 2) no gift shop 3) horrible internet. I would travel there for a romantic getaway.” Feb 2, 2007 by
John from Beachwood, OH
“It was a very pleasant surprise to me to stay at this hotel for eight days and enjoy the amenities. I will definitely return!” Jan 30, 2007 by
Roger from Chicago, IL
“The ocean beach resort is a great little place on the ocean. What a treat to have top sleeping comfort and prime beach access. Cozy charm and reasonable price.”
