• We were just really impressed with how nice the hotel was and how friendly and accommodating the staff was.
• The pool lounge chairs. Wet and moldy, yuck.

• The convenient shuttle to City place.
• No mini bar in room.

“The lobby was attractive and had a convenient sundry shop and a star bucks kiosk. The room was attractively decorated and spacious. The shuttle was great to city place and they even came to pick us up later than the stated time when we called. Friendly staff.”

• Crown Plaza was excellent, Days Inn does not deserve a star rating.
• Days Inn rooms were old, smelled old, hard box spring beds, with poor lighting.

“My ratings about are to reference Crown Plaza. I hate Days in with a passion, it is a poor excuse for a Hotel and no one should have to stay there.”

• Very convenient access to airport and rental car return.
• Located in typical gritty airport district.

“Great business travelers hotel that lets you get in and out of the airport in a flash. Also located on same road as rental car agencies so you can go from hotel room, rental car return to departure gate in no time flat. Nice outdoor pool and deck seating area. The fitness facility is poor (but most are these days in hotels below 5-star). The hotel is a short drive from many area attractions and good restaurants, but if you don't have a car, then you are stuck in the gritty airport area.”

• The hotel was very clean and all the staff was very kind.
• The parking lot was full.

“The hotel is located very close to 95 which make it close to Downtown west palm beach. It is very well maintained inside and out. The staff is very customer service oriented. The breakfast buffet was very good.”

• The lady at the desk in the morning was VERY rude to me and my family.

• Many things. Particularly the shuttle service to airport and downtown.
• Only one internet computer available for whole hotel. They need to set up an area for business travel with additional computers, fax, photo copier et.

“I would stay again. It has a large gathering area. We didn't have the time to take advantage of some of the amenities that probably make this hotel a nice place to stay. The room was a little noisy at night; could hear the elevator and people conversing in the halls. The towels must have been new as they left lint on the body after washing.”

• We really enjoyed the beds. Very comfortable.
• The elevators were very, very slow, and we had to call for a bell man twice before he came so that we could check out.

“We enjoyed our stay at Crowne Plaza. The interior had a clean, modern feel to it, and everything appeared to be in good condition. The front desk staff was friendly, and we were given a room on the 15th floor when a higher room was requested. The beds were great, the mini-refrigerator. and microwave were appreciated, and the bathroom layout was excellent for two people. The lobby was beautiful and spacious, and the location was ideal for our destinations around WPB and Palm Beach. The negatives included a very slow elevator, no USA Today delivered the first morning, and having to call for a bellman twice on the morning of checkout. Overall, a great experience.”

• Balcony hadn't been cleaned from previous guest, alarm clock broken-not fixed after request submitted.

“Front desk at check in very helpful in making sure I was able to get non-smoking room. Room itself very nice, well-decorated. Clean-except for the following: Balcony hadn't been cleaned from previous guest (towel and cup w/ cigarette butts in it), alarm clock broken, dried nail polish drops on bathroom counter and floor, loud bathroom light -told front desk about this the next a.m. None of issues corrected when I returned to my room that evening.”

“You will love the location and the staff. The rooms are poorly maintained and overall you feel as if you are stepping into a past era when you walk into the hotel.”

• Free, frequent shuttles to airport and city place shopping and restaurants.
• Breakfast buffet ends at 10 AM and they are pretty aggressive about this.

“In general, this is a pretty nice place to stay. The hotel staff are pleasant, quick, and helpful. The shuttles to City Place and the airport are very convenient and frequent. There's a pretty good workout room and the breakfast buffet has a nice array of fruit, salmon, omelets, and other breakfast things. My one big beef has to do with tea. The rooms have a glossy paper envelope next to the coffee maker that says "an invitation to fine tea". Opening the envelope, you are invited to have a cup of Bigelow brand tea, the cheapest, least tasty tea on the market. This is the brand served in the restaurant also, to the tune of $2 a cup. The hotel probably acquires this tea at $1 a box. For me, someone who loves tea, the "fine tea" issue was pretty off-putting.”

• Near Airport and Car Rental facility and had shuttle to Downtown mall.
• Restaurant horrible plus false fire alarms (2) made me walk down 12 flights for nothing.

“The restaurant had awful food (buffet breakfast overpriced) and the only guests who seemed to be eating in it were airline personnel and a few overnight business guests. My room was cramped.”

• The pool & fitness center were open 24 hrs and my 4 kids loved it.
• There was no continental breakfast and for a family of 6 that was expensive.

“The Desk Supervisor was outstanding as she was able to find a King connecting room w/ 2 Queen beds. This allowed me to keep my family of 6 next to each other. The hotel staff was incredibly cordial and helpful. I very much appreciate them letting us have a late ck-out due to travel issues. My kids absolutely loved the pool & hot tub. In a one night stay, they hit the pool three separate times. Since there were no inexpensive breakfast opportunities, we had to run across a 6-lane thorough fare against a 10-second light to get to a Denny's restaurant. For $32 @ Denny's I was able to have more than enough food for my family. That same amt @ the hotel wouldn't have fed half my family for breakfast. That said, I would definitely use this hotel again if we travel to W. Palm Beach.”

• Pool was heated to 90 degrees, room service was excellent.
• Had to take smoking room, crappy TV.

“I stayed in hotel with high expectations, during check in had to take smoking room had no other choice although they gave me a suite. My room was not the cleanest Ive every stayed in a few hairs here and there also some kind of red stain under bathroom counter. To me it needs a little bit of an upgrade no flat screen TV. On the good side we had room service twice and it was excellent. Oh one last thing our maid didnt clean our room the first night, had to call several times to get it done then they told me I put a do not disturb sign out which I didnt. On the second night they left my family of four 1 towel to shower with. They took 1+ hour and 2 calls to get more towels, my room service came faster.”

“A/C did not work. Everything about the room was worn and somewhat dismal. I arrived at midnight. Even though there were many vacant rooms, I had to argue with night manager to give me a room with working A/C.”

• The friendliness of the staff and the quality and cleanliness of the room.
• One lamp did not have an on/off switch, the tub handle was broke, and so we ended up almost taking an extremely hot shower.

“The hotel staff was very courteous; rooms were very clean and extremely comfortable. But we were not told there would be a hold put on our credit card when we checked in. We were just told they needed it in case we ran up some additional charges.”

• The food is great. The breakfast buffet is fantastic!
• They were not very kid friendly. They tried to bill us for an additional night.

“The Hotel is great. The rooms are fantastic. The pillows are wonderful. The food is great. The drinks are very expensive ($6 a shot). They were not too kid friendly. The valet told me that I shouldn't smoke as a parent, that I am killing my children. The 2nd day they did a lousy job on the room service and left a shirt that wasn't ours on the bed. They didn't give us any towels or wash rags the 2nd day. They slipped us a bill under the door early in the morning, attempting to double charge us.”

“The public areas of this hotel are spacious and well designed. The rooms are a mixed bag. We had to move twice due to a/c not working and were surprised to find no coffee condiments or wash cloths in any of the rooms. I am normally not a complainer but had to call the front desk numerous times to request these items that are normally in all hotel rooms. Our first experience at a Crowne Plaza and probably our last.”

• Shuttle bus is inconsistent.

“A nice hotel near many local businesses. Clean & comfortable room with microwave oven & fridge. Shuttle bus is not always available as represented, but there is plenty of parking with car rental agencies within walking distance. My stay was enjoyable, however next time I would rent a car.”

• Poor soundproofing. I could hear the next room's alarm go off and hear the occupant sneeze.

“Absolutely excellent hotel except for the noise. Could hear absolutely everything happening in the next room luckily that person was fairly quiet. Also heard a lot of hallway noise.”

• The swimming pool was warm.
• The room temp. Was set at 69 degrees and you could not adjust it yourself.

“I did not like this hotel because of the room being so cold. You could not adjust the temp. Yourself in the room. It was so cold I had to eat my dinner under the blankets, I called downstairs and the engineering department had to adjust it. Finally my morning it went up to 73. There was nobody to help with luggage; the hallways were very Narrow and no safe in the room. I was planning a little romantic getaway with my husband but that didn't happen because it was just to cold in the room. The room was very dusty! I am allergic to dust so that made my sinus act up severely, had to go get sinus med's. The magnifying mirror in bathroom one side looked like it has never been cleaned. I was very unhappy with this property.”
