“Very old musty smell that made up feel uncomfortable. The bathroom was beyond small. The sink was in the bedroom. Not the quality I expected. Needs to be updated. Location tricky.” Apr 14, 2008 by
Jeff from Greenwood Village, CO
“Was in and out of the hotel, so not much to review. Good for business traveler. Good bed, nice room. Overall, I am satisfied.” Apr 9, 2008 by
Charlie from Palm City, FL
“Very poor condition. Broken furniture, poor layout, filthy conditions. A poor example of a Hilton brand hotel. If you're thinking of going to this hotel, don't! Spend a little more if you have to, it will be worth every penny.” Feb 21, 2008 by
Michelle from Tampa, FL
“This hotel is a little old. They could use a spruce up in their rooms. The towel rack was missing from our bathroom, so the towels were sitting on the counter area. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable. The staff was pleasant, and the hotel is in a convenient location. The extra amenities (breakfast and welcome drink) is an excellent incentive to stay here-however the dining room does not have enough tables to accommodate the breakfast guests. I would recommend this hotel, but be aware that there is not much here: No workout facility, no game room for children, bar only opens at happy hour, so no drinks available before then. If you want a suite for an affordable price, it's worth it. But do not expect the amenities that you would expect from a resort hotel.” Feb 1, 2008 by
Victor from Madison, CT
“I understand the hotel is slated for a remodel until then expect to stay in a outdated tired looking room.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Tina from Mahopac, NY
“They were packed and did not have many rooms available mainly due to the fact that the rooms that were available did not have couches and appliances as per the front desk staff. The room we stayed in was smaller than other double trees and the smell of someone being sick along with the smell of Lysol did not make the family very happy. The kids were tired and went immediately to sleep on the pull out in the other room. The entire family ended up sleeping on the pullout. It was a nightmare. In addition to the sleep my kids walked with their socks over the disgusting soaked area. My company loves double trees; I do not believe they will like them when we get back to work.” Jan 18, 2008 by
Teddie from Mountainside, NJ
“All in all, this hotel was a fairly nice property. The bathroom was small, but the sink and countertop area located in the bedroom was spacious. I wouldn't recommend it for a special or romantic getaway, because the decor is pretty basic. I would stay there again if I were in the area.” Jan 16, 2008 by
Ric from Weaverville, NC
“The hotel was great for location and the room was excellent.” Jan 15, 2008 by
Richard from Dunnellon, FL
“It appears that the hotel is under renovation and any upgrade would be good. It is an older hotel and will always look a little tired. The extra room of a suite was nice.” Jan 14, 2008 by
Gary from South Point, OH
“One of the very worst.” Jan 11, 2008 by
Jeff from Bethesda, MD
“The Doubletree Suites definitely is not a 3* hotel. Maybe it will be when they renovate, but not now. The overall feeling is that the place is run down. The room had new carpeting and drapes, but the furniture was faux light wood and seemed ugly and old. Unlike other three star properties in Boca Raton - Hilton Suites, Springhill Suites, etc, the Doubletree charges for breakfast. The Doubletree is far below the Hilton Suites in quality.” Jan 6, 2008 by
Kenny from Gladwyne, PA
“This property has been undergoing renovation which they say shouldn't affect a guest's stay. However we were very disappointed in this property. Front desk staff range from very helpful, friendly and competent to incredibly rude, surly and hostile. Housekeeping is also very inconsistent and many appear to speak no English at all and worse make no effort to try to communicate. Room was not serviced all day until we called. Some days the bathroom surfaces were not cleaned. Bathrooms are tiny and paint is peeling/ tub stopped up. Carpet was badly soiled and ripped. Security guards are unkempt and unprofessional- I saw them rudely tell some guests to get out of the pool at pool closing time. Lobby and computer room reek of Indian food which presumably is coming from the trash in the back office areas. I've never seen so many unhappy employees at a hotel and question how this can be a Doubletree property. On the plus side: location, free parking, comfortable beds and surprising plush towels. Pool and small jacuzzi. The outside appears well maintained. Refrigerator and microwave in room worked well.” Jan 5, 2008 by
Mike from Windham, NH
“Good hotel if you want/need a suite. Had fridge, micro, coffee, and internet. Motel-like in that each suite exited to outdoors.” Dec 30, 2007 by
Suzan from Hendersonville, TN
“Older hotel, in need of (and currently undergoing) renovation. Construction noise and mess was not conducive to a pleasant stay. Staff less than friendly and/or helpful. Housekeeping staff efficient. Rooms are large, and once updated and remodeled will most likely be very nice. Pool/spa area is convenient and appears well maintained. Wouldn't stay again unless offered a fantastic deal as I didn't feel I received a good value with the first stay.” Dec 16, 2007 by
Tom from Naples, FL
“Not what I expected from Doubletree, Springhill suites is far superior. Outside entrances to rooms with locked gates at the outside entrances give you less than confidence in the hotel. Living room freezing while bedroom is comfortable.” Dec 13, 2007 by
Dennis from Shadyside, MD
“Dont appreciate staying in a construction zone this was fraudulent selling this as a 3 star hotel suite.” Nov 20, 2007 by
Jim from Johns Island, SC
“Room was nice and comfortable. Late night appetizers through room service were very good.” Jul 27, 2007 by
Stella from Montgomey, AL
“I was very pleased with the doubletree. The front desk person was working during check in and checks out and was super friendly. He even recommended several local restaurants. Would I recommend the doubletree to anyone planning a trip to the area? Absolutely! With employees to greet you, a setting like the pool and tiki bar to relax you and rooms that are so fresh and clean, how could I not? It was short but sweet stay.” May 4, 2007 by
Tamara M. from Palm Beach Gardens, FL
“Overall for a short stay, it was fine. The bathroom was extremely small with no separate dressing area. Room very small for two queen beds; one king would be fine. Breakfast buffet labeled "deluxe" but was just okay. Just the ordinary stuff.” Apr 11, 2007 by
Fred from Canada
“Not to the standards one would expect from the doubletree brand. Felt more like a dated Travelodge. The rate I got was low enough that I can't complain too much, though. Nice enough pool area, although the little bar closes too early - and customer service is not a priority. Wireless internet service was spotty at times.” Mar 13, 2007 by
Elaine from Templeton, MA
“Doubletree guest suites is a first rate, nice and clean hotel. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The room was a nice, clean and up to date room. It is located in a nice area where there is plenty of shopping nearby, restaurants and a walking trail. Would return to this hotel in an instant.” Mar 5, 2007 by
Jenifer from Cleveland, OH
“The room interior was horrid, extremely outdated, but not as bad as the comfort inn in Kennesaw, gad. Also, the bathroom was the smallest bathroom I have ever seen; the door barely cleared the toilet. The room was large, but I couldn't get past the uncleanliness (just felt dirty) and outdated carpet, fabrics, and furniture.” Jan 10, 2007 by
Randall from Punta Gorda, FL
“Easy access, spacious room. Staff not very friendly or helpful. More of an economy hotel with large rooms.” Sep 19, 2006 by
Candace from Toms River, NJ
“Overall I was happy with the hotel for the price. My daughter and I had no real complaints.” Sep 4, 2006 by
Patricia from Coconut Creek, FL
“I expected more from a Doubletree. This had the minimum needs for business traveler. It was easy to see that most of clientele was construction workers.” Jun 3, 2006 by
George from Naples, ME
“Drains were not working properly in the tub, faucets in the shower were not working properly. Smoke detectors were not consistent in the rooms having two different manufactures in the same rooms and not interconnected. The Internet would not allow my companies VPN to connect so I had to go to another hotel to use my computer.” May 17, 2006 by
Phillip from Kent Uk, FL
“Booked hotel for pre-cruise stay. Usually stay in Fort Double tree in Boca is a nice hotel, staff friendly and pool/hot tub good. Rooms large and clean. Only drawback was location. Although near to major roadways it was out of town for any attractions so additional time needed for transportation. I would recommend this hotel again as provided great value for money.” May 3, 2006 by
Heidi from Hollywood, FL
“My non-smoking room reeked of smoke, it was run down and the bed was the most uncomfortable I have ever slept in. When I asked to be changed, the desk clerk argued with me and then locked me out of both rooms several times. I requested not to be disturbed and was awakened by housekeeping at 8 am on Sun. morning. When I brought all of this to hotel management attention, they did nothing.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 26, 2006 by

“Very good bar! Cheap. Must try the Philly Cheese Steak. its to die for.” Apr 26, 2006 by
Jennifer from Saint Augustine, FL
“It was very convenient to our location goal (FIDM) and I wish that I had had it booked for later on in our stay. It was beautiful, with a good variety of shopping and food choices all under one roof. It was a very pleasurable stay.” Apr 11, 2006 by
Paula from Rye Brook, NC
“Good location, relatively clean, needs updating, wallpaper in bathroom peeling, sink in room, not in bathroom, lighting bad, one TV not working properly, sink clogged, shower fixed after it did not work properly. Quiet and beds comfortable” Apr 10, 2006 by
Ethel from Chester, SC
“The hotel is very family friendly. The beds were very comfortable. The convertible beds, however lacked much to be desired. I am young and can usually stand a convertible sofa bed, but I was a bit uncomfortable. Like I said above, I called 4 days prior to our visit to request a room with 2 double beds, it was confirmed, and upon arrival there were no rooms with 2 double beds, that is why I ended up on a convertible. To be honest I will not recommended Double Tree hotel to anyone, it was my first stay with them and my last.” Apr 6, 2006 by
Jack from Palm Springs, CA
“Did not meet expectations, we had of a 3-star hotel. Suite layout was not very good, two small rooms, prefer the Marriott Suite layout. Quality of bathroom was mediocre. Would not stay again for leisure travel, feel the 'price-value' not sufficient.” Apr 3, 2006 by
Clarke from Crystal, MN
“Hotel was dirty, never made my bed at least the top blanket. Great view of the garbage machine as well waking up to. Will tell all about rude service and no customer service from any such direction! ” Mar 30, 2006 by
Tim from Clearwater, FL
“The place was older then most I have stayed at. Close to I95.” Mar 29, 2006 by
Jared from Olmsted Falls, OH
“Hotel was ok, but staff refused to respond to complaints regarding noise.” Mar 24, 2006 by
Norm from Northfield, NJ
“Decent, but not great, for the price.” Mar 23, 2006 by
Alan from Emmaus, PA
“The hotel is ok. The location is convenient to I 95 and the Boca area. Certainly not a premium hotel. There were several groups of loud and annoying college baseball players staying there. ” Mar 10, 2006 by
Ken G. from Princeton, NJ
“Adequate room, nice pool, a too-hot tub, no atmosphere and terrible restaurant and pretend bar with an excellent desk staff. An overall average experience.” Feb 28, 2006 by
Neil from Portland, OR
“They had free internet service, but the connection was so poor and slow in our room that it was almost unusable. The worst part was that the hotel is near train tracks and trains run all night. They woke us up several times each night. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We got stuck in a smoking room and the staff said they would put an ionizer in the room to help with the smell (it didn't really help, but at least they tried).” Feb 17, 2006 by
Jack from Needham, MA
“This is not the place for young adults with young children. the staff is very helpful. The hotel is very near to one of the best eating establishments in Boca Raton, The Grille at Congress street.” Jan 4, 2006 by
Sharon from Westport, CT
“Quick business trip, very tight budget. Room was kept clean but entire facility is very "tired". Could not get the phone to work properly, reported problem, someone "fixed" it and the next morning at 6:30 I once again woke the wrong party. Receiving long distance incoming calls was also a problem. Phone never fixed for the entire stay. Air conditioner in bedroom is located directly opposite the headboard and air blows on you all night! Hotel was fine for a very short stay and the money and what we needed it for but it's definitely not somewhere I'd chose to bring my family or stay again if I could avoid it. ” Sep 28, 2005 by
Helayne from Tampa, FL
“Very disappointing, the hotel was old, not redone, not especially clean, I had no sound on the TV had to make 3 calls, and 2 visits to the desk to even get someone to do something about it. Very poor management, this should not be a 3 star by your standards.” Sep 25, 2005 by
Robin from Castle Rock, CO
“Hotel needs repairs. Elevator did not work for entire stay of three nights (we were on third floor) and we were told upon check in it would most likely be out for an hour. AC unit flooded floor in room first night and we had to move because the carpet was soaked. Balcony windows covered in green mold. Staff seemed as these events were not unusual. Last night of stay we had to call security as someone was trying to breakdown the door in the next room (340). This went on for over an hour and we considered calling the local police.” Aug 2, 2005 by
Cal from W Melbourne, FL
“Staff was great, service exceptional. Hotel seemed old and very 2 star.” Jul 3, 2005 by
Thomas from Eldersburg, MD
“Not really a three star as advertised. More like a 2 1/2 star. There is an Embassy Suites across the street, and a Marriott in Delray Beach, and a Residence Inn in Delray Beach that would fit the three star description for the Delray Beach/Boca Raton area.” Jun 24, 2005 by
Carol from Margate, FL
“nothing special to note about this hotel if you are vacationing. if you are a business person and are on an expense account this is a perfect place to hop onto i-95 or the tri-rail. the room was definately way too much for what we received. breakfast buffet was horrible” May 11, 2005 by
Mike from Newton, MA
“It took us 1.5 hours to check into the hotel because they first put us in "smoking" rooms and when we requested a change, they tried to put us in a room that was already occupied. It took them way too long to figure out what was going on in their own hotel. The elevator was broken which meant you had to wait forever or take the stairs...a pain. Not a 3-star hotel in my opinion and not the quality we were expecting.” Apr 19, 2005 by
Mel from Stamford, CT
“Good value for an in-season stay in Boca. Our room was near the breakfast room but the suite layout allowed us to shut out any noise from the bedroom area. Pleasant staff, nice courtyard-style pool and whirlpool. They should give free cookies for each night of one's stay.” Feb 3, 2005 by
John from Hornell, NY
“Three star rating might be a little to good for this place but for the price I got it for it was a good deal.” Hotel Representatives:
