“Terrible.” Apr 6, 2008 by

“We were not happy with the hotel, but booked only 1 night, so we thought we'd survive. We walked to breakfast the morning we were leaving and came back to our room door open. I went down to inform the desk, but he was insistent that no one went in and told me that we most likely left it open. I was sure we didn't. The maid was two doors down from our room, so I walked over and asked her if she had gone into our room. She couldn't speak very clear English, but nodded her head. Two other coworkers came to assist the conversation and both admitted she did admit to opening the door. We looked to see if anything was taken and asked for the incident to be documented & for the manager's phone number. In addition, the room was not very clean; the floor was dirty, and we were given 2 very small bath towels and no bath mat, and when we asked for a couple of more towels, we were asked to bring down our soiled towels for an exchange. The room had a small coffee pot, but no coffee, no blow dryer, no remote for the TV, bedspreads were old, and you couldn't even sit on one of the beds without it squeaking!” Mar 24, 2008 by

“Clean, not immaculate, needs new appliances.” Mar 16, 2008 by

“Only thing good about this hotel was the spot. Rooms were the most disgusting thing I could have seen, we had bed bugs! Worst thing of my life. Didn't even want to swim in the pool it was so gross. They took some of our deposit because someone else staying at the hotel pissed on the computer so took money out of everyones deposit. Never would stay again.” Mar 3, 2008 by

“I felt like I needed to shower. Everything in the rooms was old and could not possibly still be clean. I bought blankets and sheets for the hotel. I travel and am used to these type accommodations. However, considering there was a nicer hotel that was cheaper just down the road, I don't feel like I got my money's worth.” Feb 26, 2008 by

“Days Inn at Key West- Roosters on Grounds started Crowing about 5 a.m. every morning. Must be common saw loose chickens at Key West several times. Hotel was expensive, Key West was a let down.” Dec 12, 2007 by

“My friend and I stayed at the hotel for just one night (thank god!), but we had a terrible experience! We had bed bugs, cockroaches on the floor and walls, the bathroom were not clean. We tried to get another room, but some of the rooms where being "remodeled", and the rest were booked. They gave us our money back, because I caught 2 bedbugs in my bed (put them in a Napkin) and took pictures of the cockroaches. For the price, we were not expecting a resort, but at least a clean, just to rest, take a shower hotel. Im surprised to read other reviews saying that the hotel is just fine, clean, and all that. We had a really bad experience.” Jul 10, 2006 by

“We arrived late at night after a 12 hour drive to find the front desk locked. We waited for 45 minutes before the clerk drove up and checked us in for the night. The entire room was tile floor and felt more like a locker room than a hotel room. The A/C unit is a wall unit mounted over the front door and has no controls to regulate the room temperature. This trip was for business and required nothing more than a place to grab some sleep in between meetings, as such, I would never stay there again even for just that purpose.” Jun 1, 2006 by

“If you are looking for a place to hang out and party for a cheap price, this is your location. When we got there, our room was not ready, we had to wait 15 minutes for the cleaning lady to get done with the room and this was at 3:30 p.m. When we got in the room, there was only one room light that was working. We had to request lights from the cleaning lady. Then we got freaked out in the middle of the night, when our bedside lights were inexplicably turned on.” Apr 10, 2006 by
Dawn from Bristol, WI
“The beds were made each day and we received clean towels, but the floors were not swept and the rust chips from the refrigerator door were there the entire week.”
