- Great staff, great bedding and great location.
- Could hear everything happening in hall.
“We decided to book this hotel because of its close proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The concierge service was outstanding; they helped us with so much. Their hotel restaurant was great for breakfast daily. They have lovely bedding for which you can sleep the night away. Some people have complained about how far the south tower is, but truly it is just across the street via a walkway that is covered. Only people with walking problems could encounter a problem. Hotel arranged for a driver/van to transport the four of us to the ship.”

“Location is perfect. Directly across the street from the beach with a covered walkway over the traffic very accessible. The only disappointment was that I left a pair of sweatpants in the room that were never "found.”

- Location. Beds were very comfortable which is important. Beautiful view of the intercostals.

“The location was perfect. From our room, we had a beautiful view of the intercostals and the lights of the Downtown area. The rooms were immaculate and beds very comfortable and clean. We would definitely stay here again.”

- Hotel charges a fee for internet service. It should be complimentary.

- No free wireless internet. Hotel is looking old - bad mattresses.
“Now a days, it is so important to offer free wireless internet. Even the cheapest hotels offer that. Good comfortable beds are important for good rest. Both were lacking in this hotel. Hotels with very expensive restaurants drive us out onto the street looking for alternate dining.”

- The hotel had a small store with snacks the pricing on the snacks double what I expect to pay even in a hotel.

- There was protective covering on the bath window, the whole pool area could see in the shower.
“Move is bags and everything. On are arrival back we where still in the same room. We had to order extra towels and hang them in the window to shower. When I spoke w/ the manager again he did not seem to care if I was upset. .”

“Location was great, Valet parking cost us $16.00 then tips to come and go. Overall, it was clean and convenient to port everglades. I would stay there again, but not with full size beds anymore. Nothing to brag about with that size for 3 people to sleep. We are average size people with tiny beds.”

“This hotel was wonderfully located directly across from the beach, with a pedestrian overpass that connected the beach and outdoor pool. My only negative was that it seemed that everything had an extra cost no wifi available, a daily charge for internet in the room, a charge for internet in the lobby, daily parking charge, etc. This took away somewhat from the overall experience.”

- Shula's restaurant was overpriced!
“Wow, we checked in after getting off cruise ship and they let us have an early check in at 10:30am! Large room with great view of fort Lauderdale beach. Probably helped that we are star wood members. Pool nice and warm which was needed since air temp was cool. Room service reasonably priced. Shula's restaurant was not $110 for 1 meal with bottle of wine.”

- It was walking distance to some shopping and dining venues and was close to the ocean.
- No shuttle service.

- The lobby elevator was slow. Not a big deal.

- The location was fabulous.
- The bathroom was similar to a public restroom in a gas station.
“With this flying the Sheraton flag, you would expect it to be very nice. Not true. I travel quite a bit and can honestly say that the room and experience at a lesser hotel is much better. The bathroom was very generic and the floor felt sticky. The beds were comfortable but the room cleanliness left a lot to be desired.”

- Fantastic view wonderful restaurant friendly and helpful employees!
- The restaurant had a problem doing separate checks for our group we were cruise travelers who didn't know each other so it was awkward.

- The location is the best in Fort Lauderdale.
- They charged me for the stay even though it was prepaid and no one from the hotel will call me back.
“Overall, a positive experience. But my experience getting someone from the accounting department to call me back because of over charging me for the room when it was already prepaid has kind of ruined the overall experience. Otherwise, I would have given it higher marks.”

- Location is excellent. Staff was friendly. Room clean, bed comfortable.
- Rooms really need to be updated. Hotel food too expensive. Parking is overpriced at $12 per night.
“We were pleasantly surprised about how clean the room was, how helpful and friendly the staff were. The Sheraton said they are going to be doing a complete overhaul next year to the rooms, which is really needed. They should not be charging the guests to park their cars. This was not necessary.”

- Loved the location, there is a walkway over the road to reach the beach.
- They charge to park and for a roll away bed.
“I was surprised with the additional charges for parking and a roll away bed, also cost extra for the ocean view. The staff was helpful. Worth the money for valet parking, we parked and then had to carry luggage up 2 flights of steps to the hotel. Pool was nice, loved the walkway to the beach over the road.”

- The hotel needs a hot tub and to update room furniture and fixtures.

“The location is great, you're across the road from the beach, but just because they are a Sheraton they demand a high price for everything. - You can't get any closer to the beach and the view was spectacular.
- Decor was dated and a little we shabby.
“Had I spent twice as much, I would have expected something that didn't look like it had last been decorated in 1977. Shoals was a good (expensive) option for dinner, but lighter fare is a hike-- there's no place for a light inexpensive meal that I could find within walking distance. Great pool and convenient bridge to the beach.”

“Large accommodating hotel with wonderful pool and beach access. Cleanliness did not meet expectations, but the staff was friendly and efficient upgrading our stay to ocean front view. I would recommend this hotel for any type of event. Food was delicious at the hotel restaurant.”

- The beach front location was awesome. I was able to wake up and see the ocean every morning.
- The south tower is extremely outdated.
“When we first arrived at the Sheraton Yankee trader, we stayed in a partial ocean view room on the 15th floor in the south tower. This room was very outdated and smelled like mildew. Since we had two more days left for our vacation, we wanted to be comfortable so the next morning we requested another room. The front desk gave us another room in the north tower on the 5th floor and apologized for our inconvenience. This room was much nicer (had been updated) and did not smell. The hotel is in a great location. You can walk or ride the local trolley to many nearby restaurants and shops. I would suggest not staying in the south tower.”

- Very nice location and view of ocean.
- The parking was $12.00 a day or $15.00 valet and the parking lot was scary.
“I would recommend this hotel for business or pleasure. The restaurant was a little upscale for families with young kids but very nice. The view from my room was awesome, but had to walk quite a way to get to the south tower. I thought it was cheap of the hotel to charge for parking at $12.00 per day to park yourself in a scary dark parking garage. Parking should be free to hotel guests. Personnel were friendly and hotel very clean. I would stay in this hotel again.”

- Good location on beach.
- Bathrooms need to be updated.
“Hotel was nice, but needs upgrades across the board. Everything seemed old, especially the bath rooms. Decent parking and nice staff, great view!”
