• Beach location, friendly staff, and convenient to sun trolley.
• Would have liked a complimentary continental breakfast.

“Went on a spur of the moment 5 day trip to Fort Lauderdale and had not been there in yrs. The hotel was newly renovated and very tidy. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our room. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Loved the complimentary coffee, always fresh & available. The hotel is convenient to the Sun Trolley & walking distance to River Taxi. Very relaxing vacation. We'd definitely return.”

• Pool was on the cold side, towel check-out procedure, parking.

“Our stay was great. Clean room had internet and a fridge, which was convenient for storing snacks from the 7-11 across the street. The bathroom even had neat cubby storage so everything wasn't strewn about. Flat screen TV and nice bedding. The deck has great cabana lounge chairs, though the pool was a bit cold because it's in the dhade most of the day. If I was the management would invest in heating the pool instead of the pool-side towels.”

• The ambience was amazing. The gym was nicer than any I've seen.
• The location was slightly out of the way, but worth the drive.

• Location and views are fantastic for my needs.
• Cleaning staff did not do a great job. Didn't even make bed twice.

“Nice 12-story hotel with views of beach and intercostals waterway on A1A in Ft. Lauderdale. Floor to ceiling windows enhance the beautiful scenery. Hotel has pool with multi-level deck and pool bar. Views from pool deck are of ocean. Front desk staff is helpful but often hard to find. Cleaning staff is friendly but didn't do a great job cleaning the room. Sometimes only garbage was emptied.”

• Parking was very expensive ($25/day @ hotel and $10/day nearby).

• It was beautifully decorated and very clean.
• The pool was really disappointing, cold and really small. This hotel was not very family friendly.

“Very clean, newer, in an excellent location to the beach except for crossing the busy road. I would recommend this hotel to travelers, but not with small children as the pool was not very children friendly and was cold and very small.”

• The location and the staff were both incredible.
• Noise at night really traveled through the walls.

“This was a very clean and friendly environment. The location is phenomenal, very close to the airport, beach, restaurants and shopping. I would definitely stay here and recommend this hotel to all travelers, with or without families.”

• High price for valet parking; and you have to use valet.

• The location, decor & amenities. The check-in was smooth & most of all the valet guys were great!
• My coffee was not replenished & no clean mugs. There should be a clean glass available for filling the coffee pot - I had to use my dirty mug - gross!

“Other than the coffee issue it was great stay! Although the valet guys were fantastic it would have been nice if I had a choice on the valet service.”

• I liked the location of the hotel right by the beach and the staff where very friendly. Also free internet and printing.
• The valet parking is a little expensive at $25.00 overnight when the lot next door was $6.00 overnight.

“Great location & friendly staff. Room could have been a bit cleaner. Avoid staying at spring break unless you're a spring breaker or enjoy all the loud action. It was nice to have the free internet and ability to print boarding passes for no charge.”

• Steps to the beach.
• A lot of street noise could be heard at night. Parking very expensive.

“A great location to adventure in and around Ft. Lauderdale. Noise certainly travels through the halls and rooms, but that certainly is not uncommon in hotel rooms. I would certainly stay at this resort again.”

• This hotel seemed pretty clean, except for the bobby-pin I found on the floor from the previous occupant.
• I was charged $25 to park my car there!

“The hotel was pretty nice, although I got a room that was connected to another and I could hear the people in the next room clear as day. I had my new born with me and it wasn't easy to get her to sleep with all the conversation going on in the connecting room. I was just a little upset that the only parking that was offered was either across the street for $15, in a lot, or valet for $25. I mean if I am staying at the hotel shouldn't parking be included.”

“We had to evacuate the hotel at 9:00 AM. We got to the hotel at 4:30 AM, so we were woken up by the alarm. The staff wasn't helpful or informative as to what was going on. It was a false alarm. The parking rate was expensive.”

• The front desk staff was very accommodating when we arrived earlier than check-in time.
• Hard to find an open chair at the pool.

“We arrived at the hotel around 10am after disembarking from a cruise ship. Although official check-in time is 3 pm, the front desk staff contacted housekeeping and arranged to have a room cleaned for us right away. This was much appreciated! The free internet access in the lobby was an unexpected treat, and the bar/pool/deck area outside were great, although it was difficult to get a chair at times - too many were "saved". Room was clean and decorated nicely with flat screen TV; great access to beach, clean and tastefully decorated public spaces and room service menu was reasonably priced. It was a great deal!”

• More like a 4 star hotel Very nice loved it!
• Need a bigger, better restaurant or breakfast buffet?

“We stayed here 2 nights pre-cruise and 1 night post cruise 2/21 2/22 and 3/2/08 We just wanted something nice and clean and safe. We received a room on the side with a view of the ocean and city. It was a deluxe room with a Living room and bedroom.”

• There was no complimentary airport shuttle - this should not be difficult to provide.

“My family stayed at this hotel prior to taking a 5 night cruise out of Port Everglades. The room was clean and we loved the proximity to the beach and area activities / restaurants. Unfortunately, the staff was not very helpful when we needed late night assistance with finding a local 24 hour pharmacy for our son who became ill. However, we would definitely stay at this hotel again!”

“It was a great experience with the exception of the 3 false fire alarms, one being at 3:00am. The location was awesome and we got an EXCELLENT deal! I was wonderfully surprised by the location and accommodations for the price.”

“Excellent location for the beach, restaurants, shopping and great room for price I paid. I enjoyed having the coffeemaker and refrigerator. Can shut off door for separate sleeping area and they had own TV. Only problem was two of the three elevators were not working properly during my stay.”

“This was a great experience. The rooms were beautiful, clean and bright. Usually when I travel for vacation, I don't spend much time in my room. it is simply a place to sleep. Here, I actually made it a point to spend time in the room as it was so relaxing. Location was good but there were noisy bars on either side of the hotel which were a bit distracting. Great access to the ocean, and a nice part of Ft. Lauderdale. Be warned though, parking is an additional $25 per day.”

“A well situated hotel steps across from the Ocean. There was a nice pool and deck area that overlooked the ocean. There was a pool area full service bar. Downstairs was a Bubba Gump seafood restaurant, but you could walk to many other restaurants.”

“My girl friend and I went down there for spring break and the hotel met and exceeded our expectations. It was right in the beach, the rooms were clean and we had a great view of the intercostals. I would highly recommend it as a great hotel to stay on budget at.”

• Checked in early and feel room roll over was overly long.

“We arrived from a cruise and were early for check-in. I don't feel the staff was on top of checking people in when rooms were cleaned. Everything else was top notched. The hotel is right across from the beach. You can hope a bus or trolley from this location to reach 17th street. Great friendly, safe location. Was busy with spring breakers and still a good location.”

• 31st anniversary with 10yr old son--French doors for privacy! 2 big screen TVs.
• Pool on small side.

“We had a lovely stay. The French doors to the sitting room and separate large screen TV's were an absolute delight for traveling with a 10 year old on our 31st wedding anniversary! Hotel was bright and cheerful and immaculate. Bubba Gumps was a fun restaurant and the hotel location is ideal for people watching or getting away from the crowds.”

• The location was excellent and the facility was very nice.
• Got hit with a $25.00 per night parking fee that I was not expecting.

“Overall, the hotel is excellent. The staff was excellent and the room was extremely nice. Only complaint I have is that there was a $25.00 fee per day to park my car which I was not happy about.”

• Greatest location. Near everything. Shopping, beach and bars!
• Elevators were sometimes slow and on the small side. Poolside waitress service would be a nice touch. Pool was a little cold.

“This was the best beach hotel ever-my entire family loved it. This is a wonderful location with amazing ocean views from their pool side sundeck. Reasonably priced dining options located on property or right next door-walking distance to bars, water taxis and shopping-I would describe my experience as perfect -highly recommend this hotel!”

• $26 Valet Parking only, no continental breakfast.

“The hotel room, view, and location was excellent, the front desk staff wasn't very personable and there was no continental breakfast, something I kind of expect from a hotel now a days. The worst thing was the $26 valet parking. I could have parked my own car just as easily for free. There is a public lot next door, but we would have had to wake up at 7 in the morning to pay again.”
