• Right across the street from the beach.
• Room service breakfast menu was limited and relatively expensive.

“This is a nice hotel in a great location with easy access to the beach and restaurants and entertainment and shopping. We had an 11th floor room and the view is great I would definitely stay here again.”

• Lobby was very clean and really liked the appearance of the room.

• The room with a living room that can be isolated with French doors and the location.
• Elevators problems and fire drills while we were there.

“Easily the best hotel I've had the pleasure of staying in in the Fort-Lauderdale area. Two steps from the beach, great terrasse, cool bar, nice restaurant (although both bar and restaurant are way overpriced) and nice little gym with free weights and all the cardio equipment one can wish for. This
is
the place to stay in FLL. No contest.”

• Beautiful deck and chaises to lounge on , free use of the internet and the location was fabulous.
• Pool was not heated and parking was expensive.

“I would have like to see the pool heated. This was the only drawback to the hotel. We parked next door for half the price the hotel wanted.”

• Quiet. The location was convenient and nice.

“The hotel is in a very nice area, convenient to shopping and restaurants. Very close to the beach. All staff were friendly. Room was clean. Coffee/tea was provided. A refrigerator was also in the room. Quiet hotel.”

• No safe in room, cold pool, housekeepers did not speak English.

“This was a beautiful hotel. The front desk staff, pool staff, restaurant staff, bar staff excellent. Housekeepers not friendly and did not speak English. It was very difficult to request an additional towel etc. we had to point while the various housekeepers held items up from cart. Room could use microwave, and room safe. The refrigerator in room did not stay cold, and could have used a small freezer section.”

• Across street from beach was nice.
• $25 per day to park your vehicle plus a gratuity every time you had valet service was absolutely ridiculous.

“You expect a little more from a Marriott and unfortunately this falls a little short. Rooms were nice, public areas were clean. $25. To park your day daily plus valet tips is ridiculous. Elevators were in and out of service. We had to take the stairs a few times, (no problem as we needed the exercise). Pool is not even worthy of being called a "Kid's pool", especially for a hotel across the street from a beach in a resort town. For the money, some fruit in the lobby, or a welcome drink would have been nice. A few burnt cookies were put out during the evening. I guess this would work for a weekend, or for a night before or after your cruise.”

“This hotel described either ocean or Intercostals view from all rooms. Not true - our room had a view of the parking lot. Shopping district was much farther away than described. Had to call Housekeeping at 10 PM one night because room had not been serviced that day. Can be noisy on weekend with late night parties in rooms.”

• Mandatory valet parking (although alternatives are available).

“Got to the hotel, checked in within five minutes, no problems. Beautiful room with contemporary decor. Hotel staff was cleaning the public areas, and they were already spotless. Pool/bar staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to beach, dining, and shopping. Very convenient.”

“My original room was not ready (towels and garbage all over, bed not made) but the staff very quickly changed my room and also provided a coupon for a free breakfast buffet as an apology. The view was perfect. I was there for a pre-cruise stay and could see my ship in port from my room. Walking distance to many small shops and restaurants.”

• Location was awesome. Beach was beautiful and so convenient for walking.
• Pool area was windy and needed wind screen. Pool needed to be heated.

“The pool was beautiful but very cold. No one used it for that reason. They were doing fire testing on the elevators and started at 10 AM. This felt disruptive to the close of our stay and we needed the elevator for our luggage which they handled very well when we mentioned that we were on the 12th floor and needed assistance or the use of the elevator. On site parking is almost $30 per day. Next door parking is $10.and not inconvenient at all.”

• Location to beach was great, as well as the restaurant space attached to hotel on beach side.
• The entrance was not driver friendly and front of hotel isn't very attractive.

“The room was wonderful and two LCD TVs! It was a great experience. The location was great, and more importantly, I would definitely consider using hotel again on next trip.”

• There are plenty of restaurants with outside seating nearby. Going past the pool puts you on A1A across from the ocean.
• $25 per night for valet parking. There is a public parking lot next door but you have to circle the block using busy, one-way streets to reach it.

“The hotel was easy to reach from the FLL airport. We were only there one night, pre-cruise but enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff was friendly and delicious cookies were offered. I didn't get a feel for the location until the next morning when I went up to the Mezzanine level checked out the pool and beyond. You enter the lobby from a back street but in front, beyond the pool, is Ocean Drive. We liked the free internet access. We wound up eating dinner at The Quarterdeck about a block away from the hotel and beach and it was fine. Bubba Gump's was right next to the hotel but I didn't find out until the next morning.”

• No parking - Valet too expensive.

“Hotel was nice, clean and in great area near beach and several restaurants. Staff was friendly. Unfortunately, there is no parking available for residents and you are forced to pay for valet at the hotel which is $26.00/night. I used the lot next door and paid about $16.00/ day.”

“The hotel is located on the beach, really directly across from the beach in lovely Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The Marriott Courtyard has a nice pool and Tike bar. The breakfasts at $15 a piece are worth the money because they include a made to order omelet. The beds are comfortable and the rooms adequately large for two travelers. I would not like to share it with more than two people since the is only privacy for two. One of the problems I had was, even though I was an elite Marriott Rewards member, I was placed in a room that looked over the intercostals and not the beach. Since we came to see the ocean this upset us a lot. You will get neither. Other than that disappointing fact the place is clean, well situated, has a nice restaurant and a lovely pool bar. What I didn't like was the parking situation. Don't pay the Marriott $25 a night to park overnight. Park in the lot next store and pay $10 per night for hotel guests.”

• The room decor was relaxing and the view was amazing.
• The parking was expensive and room had no balcony.

“From location to service to amenities, this hotel is top rate. Having a car was inconvenient. And I really would have enjoyed a balcony for enjoying the wonderful views from the room. But over all would do it again in a heartbeat!”

“Went on a spur of the moment 5 day trip to Fort Lauderdale and had not been there in yrs. The hotel was newly renovated and very tidy. We had a gorgeous view of the ocean from our room. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. Loved the complimentary coffee, always fresh & available. The hotel is convenient to the Sun Trolley & walking distance to River Taxi. Very relaxing vacation. We'd definitely return.”

• Pool was on the cold side, towel check-out procedure, parking.

“Our stay was great. Clean room had internet and a fridge, which was convenient for storing snacks from the 7-11 across the street. The bathroom even had neat cubby storage so everything wasn't strewn about. Flat screen TV and nice bedding. The deck has great cabana lounge chairs, though the pool was a bit cold because it's in the dhade most of the day. If I was the management would invest in heating the pool instead of the pool-side towels.”

• Cleaning staff did not do a great job. Didn't even make bed twice.

“Nice 12-story hotel with views of beach and intercostals waterway on A1A in Ft. Lauderdale. Floor to ceiling windows enhance the beautiful scenery. Hotel has pool with multi-level deck and pool bar. Views from pool deck are of ocean. Front desk staff is helpful but often hard to find. Cleaning staff is friendly but didn't do a great job cleaning the room. Sometimes only garbage was emptied.”

• It was beautifully decorated and very clean.
• The pool was really disappointing, cold and really small. This hotel was not very family friendly.

“Very clean, newer, in an excellent location to the beach except for crossing the busy road. I would recommend this hotel to travelers, but not with small children as the pool was not very children friendly and was cold and very small.”

• The location, decor & amenities. The check-in was smooth & most of all the valet guys were great!
• My coffee was not replenished & no clean mugs. There should be a clean glass available for filling the coffee pot - I had to use my dirty mug - gross!

“Other than the coffee issue it was great stay! Although the valet guys were fantastic it would have been nice if I had a choice on the valet service.”

• I liked the location of the hotel right by the beach and the staff where very friendly. Also free internet and printing.
• The valet parking is a little expensive at $25.00 overnight when the lot next door was $6.00 overnight.

“Great location & friendly staff. Room could have been a bit cleaner. Avoid staying at spring break unless you're a spring breaker or enjoy all the loud action. It was nice to have the free internet and ability to print boarding passes for no charge.”

• A lot of street noise could be heard at night. Parking very expensive.

• This hotel seemed pretty clean, except for the bobby-pin I found on the floor from the previous occupant.
• I was charged $25 to park my car there!

“The hotel was pretty nice, although I got a room that was connected to another and I could hear the people in the next room clear as day. I had my new born with me and it wasn't easy to get her to sleep with all the conversation going on in the connecting room. I was just a little upset that the only parking that was offered was either across the street for $15, in a lot, or valet for $25. I mean if I am staying at the hotel shouldn't parking be included.”

“We had to evacuate the hotel at 9:00 AM. We got to the hotel at 4:30 AM, so we were woken up by the alarm. The staff wasn't helpful or informative as to what was going on. It was a false alarm. The parking rate was expensive.”
