• It was very comfortable and beautiful. Bedroom and bed were very good.
• It could have cheaper option for breakfast.

• The service at the restaurant Rivas was superior. From our server to the quality of food, top notch!
• The room was a bit dated, Our balcony had a concrete wall instead of a balcony fence. Bathroom was small.Pool tiles in need of repair.

• The service and the attempts to please were great.

“The hotel's outside table tops need to be replaced. The food and bev prices were just a bit to high for the value. We for some strange reason didn't get a news paper delivered as others did, we thought maybe it was because of our great discount.”

• Comfortable, clean rooms. Many activities at the beach.
• Activities at the beach were expensive (parasail, waverunners, etc), and on-site parking was expensive.

“On going construction by the pool and beach side took away from the resort experience. Hotel staff is helpful, responsive and friendly.”

“One of the best Resorts in the area with great service and ambiance. The only experience that was disappointing was the Riva restaurant - the food was sub par and the decor needs updating. Leaves an impression that it was a neglected and ignored part of the hotel!”

• Beautiful beach but lots of construction on back of hotel on beach and in front of my balcony.
• Hard to find, construction was loud and distracted the beauty of the beach. Restaurant is soooo expensive-dinner for one at least $50 and not great!

• Absolutely gorgeous hotel with pristine cleanliness.
• Restaurants very pricy - costs approx $80.00 for breakfast.

“The hotel is not within walking distance of local shops and Restaurants. The hotel Restaurant was very expensive and very small portions. They charge $22.00 a day for self parking and $26.00 for valet parking. We would not go back.”

• Beautiful beaches, pool & room.
• Charge for high spped internet.

“Marriott Harbor Beach is the best resort hotel in Fort Lauderdale. The staff is very friendly and efficient. The rooms are clean and comfortable. As with many full service hotels they charge for parking and for internet access. The pool and beach area are unsurpassed in Fort Lauderdale. I love this hotel.”

• Best beach in Ft Lauderdale, beautiful grounds, great beds and linens.
• $22 for parking and $5.00 for Starbucks coffee in the room.

“Being a native of Ft Lauderdale and this was my fist time staying in a hotel, I could not have been more pleased. The best beach in the area, the grounds are lovely, the rooms are very well appointed and great linens. Also, the 3030 Restaurant was delicious. A treat for Marriott, as they usually do not have good food.”

• My stay was a positive one.
• Hotel parking should be free, no matter the location.

“Loved the hotel location. It's a short-ride to and from the airport and it's right on the Beach. My family and I booked this hotel via an airlines getaway promotion. As one of the reviewers pointed out it is rather expensive, they charge for amenities that should come with the cost such as Parking and Internet. For parking you have the choice of valet at $25 per day + tipping each time and self parking in the hotel underground area at $22.00 a day. The per nightly cost posted on the room door was $800 ; but we did have ocean view (maybe that's why?). The restaurants are quite pricey. Overall, I agree with another reviewer they should provide shuttle services to local areas, such as to the main street. It is a bit away from any locations for picking up a quick bite, or some place to stroll after the beach is closed. Bottom line if you want to stay only on the Beach it's great. Want to see the rest of the area rent a car.”

• Great location, beautiful facilities, comfortable room, great environment, great for families or couples.
• Restaurants were very expensive, beds were doubles, not queens, very small beds.

“This was a great hotel and one of the best in Ft. Lauderdale. Great value for the money. Great amenities and right on the beach. Beautiful!! Would recommend for families or couples.”

• Beautiful private beach
• Fees charged for almost everything. The expensive overnight price should cover more things.

“Nice hotel. Beautiful setting. Many of the amenities cost extra though. They brag about their spa, but it costs $30 just to have the privilege to use the spa swimming pool or eat at the restaurant (the meal costs extra). Also, no shuttle service available for any short trips, and the airport is only a few miles away. If you charge hundreds of dollars per night, you should provide the extras without cost.”

• Location,beaches,layout,landscape,willingness to please.
• Room service food was mediocre, expensive and portions were tiny.

“The Spa was okay and one employee tried to steal a piece of jewelry and was caught. I spent $240.00 on one of their premier treatments and the therapist talked the whole time and was sloppy and unprofessional. My recommendation is to speak up if the expensive treatments are not to the highest professional standards. Overall the service was excellent, the hotel is beautiful and the location is superb. very short cab rides to the best of Las Olas shopping, access to the water taxi across the street. The galleria Mall is a few miles away. The beaches were well maintained,clean & beautiful and the access from the pool area is very easy with several walkways. The locker rooms at the pool facility were very nice and the food service at the pool was excellent and was better than the hotel food. The valet area was always on the ball and very helpful. This is definately the place to stay on Ft. Lauderdale beach. I toured the Marriott Beach Place Property and there was no comparison with Harbour beach. ”

“It was a very nice hotel & spa. The spa was great. We didn't eat at the restaurant but did use room service and the food was good. The room was average. The staff was very nice & helpful. It would be nice if this hotel offered a free shuttle to and from the airport.”
