• Noisy wedding party and no free parking.

• Beautiful, clean, spacious rooms with kitchenette including dishes, pots/pans, silverware, microwave, stove, dishwasher. Big bathroom & shower.
• Only 1 ice machine in whole hotel that didn't work.

“I'd recommend Double tree hotels to anyone. They are the nicest, cleanest, friendliest hotels with all amenities.”

• Fitness center too small.

“Friendly staff welcomed me late at night with a warm cookie, and speedy check-in. The suite was clean and sleek with a huge LCD TV and nice view of the intercostals. The room was quiet and I was able to get a goodnight's rest in a very comfortable bed. Hit the "fitness center" the next morning, which had good equipment, but was too small. Enjoyed the terrace by the waterway, and already had been expressed checked-out. All-in-all a very enjoyable experience.”

• The service in the restaurant was very bad.

“The staff at the hotel was wonderful. I spoke to the manager about the service in the restaurant and how long it took me to get my order and that the food was cold when I got it. I could have understood if the restaurant was busy but there was only 11 people in the whole place. they took the whole order off my bill. I thought that was very appropriate.”

“Nice surprise! Well-located hotel, not oceanfront, but on the waterway and only a few long blocks to the ocean. Spacious suite room had nice view; bed was really comfortable, staff extremely courteous, helpful & polite. A great deal!”

• The room service was exceptional, prompt; food was great.
• Housekeepers knocked twice on the door despite the "do not disturb" sign posted.

“We enjoyed our stay and would return. The rooms are quiet and clean. Great room service menu. The downside: there was ample parking yet they charge $17.00/ day and the housekeepers bang on the door despite the posted 'do not disturb' sign on the door.”

“This hotel was a few blocks from the beach, easy walking distance to beach, stores, and food places. I did not visit the pool or other amenities, although they looked very nice clean and attractive. The room was extremely comfortable and would have been perfect for a longer stay.”

• The $20 parking for one night that still requires a hike to the hotel.

• Everything. The location was great! A water taxi came right up to the hotel and we toured the waterways, shopping and dining. Wonderful staff.
• There was nothing.

“The Gallery One is a beautiful hotel. The art hanging on the walls was interesting. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet daily was delicious. The location was perfect. A water taxi tour is a must. The shopping is excellent and the many art galleries Downtown Fort Lauderdale are very interesting. Valet service was reasonable at $17/day. They were quick, took care of the car, and were friendly. I would love to stay here again.”

“Staff didnt know much about the attractions that were not in the general area. There was a bus line that took us too many places that the hotel staff was unaware of. The lounge chairs were broken and the hot tub/spa was under construction. Otherwise, the stay there was fabulous.”

• The suite I stayed in was fantastic!
• The exercise room was just with very little equipment.

“I have stayed in many hotels & suites. This hotel (suite) was beyond my beliefs. I was so impressed that I took pictures of the room. I felt like I was in a upscale apartment. Kitchen, living room, master bedroom & separate bathroom. I would recommend anyone making an effort to get this site on their next visit to the area.”

• 2 Blocks from the beach.
• Far from the airport $25 cab ride but was listed as Ft. Lauderdale/Airport.

“Clean attractive lobby and hotel. The room was large and nice Marble bathroom. Very large rooms, newly decorated and had a 42" flat panel TV in the sitting room and a large TV in the separate bedroom. Only 1 ice machine and it was on the 4th floor. We where in the 9th. Also my wife likes a lighted magnifying mirror which was not provided.”

• The night person at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.
• Nothing! Loved everything.

“This is a beautiful, clean, luxury hotel for a great price. They took perfect care of us from the moment we walked in the door until the moment we left. The night we got there, my friend called the desk to ask for some extra Kleenex and the gentleman from the front desk actually delivered them to our door himself. The bedrooms and bathrooms were beautiful and incredibly clean. We also loved the balcony overlooking the pool.”

• My wife and I found this hotel to be excellent for the money.
• Valet parking is really the only option.

“Great hotel at a great price. We had to pay $17 for valet parking, but it is in a great location near the beach and all that Fort Lauderdale has to offer. It is very clean and modern.”

• The door to the bedroom seemed a bit commercial and the bellboy wasn't very pleasant.

• Only one elevator working.

“I just needed a place to stay overnight to get from Ft. Lauderdale to Miami where our cruise departed the next day. I was surprised that the night at this hotel was the best part of the trip. I wanted to live there!”

• I liked the value for what I paid and the all-suite rooms.
• Only one elevator was in service, hotel ATM shorted me $100.

“I found the hotel to be a good value for the price I paid, especially because all rooms are suites with plenty of space. Also the rooms have kitchen facilities, refrigerators, microwaves, etc. The bathrooms are clean and feature luxury shower stalls with no bathtub, which is fine with me. The beds are also very comfortable.”

“My wife and stepdaughter took a little trip together and only had positive things to say about this hotel. The good: - Service was fine, although they had little contact after checking in to the time they checked out. Shopping center next door-One can walk to the beach-Big room that was clean and the beds were comfortable-Full kitchen with a dishwasher-Large flat screen TV on the wall-Water taxi is convenient, although they did not use it Only negatives: - Parking fees, they did valet ($17) for convenience with a late arrival-Nothing was open in the area to grab a bite to eat at 11pm on a Sunday.”

“Its a good location. The mall one block away has all top of the line stores and good mall food. One thing that sets it apart is your right on canal and also you can see ocean even from pool view which they did upgrade for free. The warm cookie was inviting, rooms clean, bed real nice, and full kitchen. The water taxi picks right up at back door; for 12$ a day, you can ride to 11 different drop off while listening to the lives of the rich and famous but it was a fun filled day; we stopped and had a awesome day; left at 8 am; didnt come back till 9 pm; the water taxied follows the canal; it was a must do for me and very well done it was (sit on left side of water taxi a lot more they talk about there). The hotel staff was at our beck and call and very helpful. They even can get a yacht for you to rent for special occasions loved it.”

“This hotel was VERY nice. However, when I asked about a room with 2 double beds, I got an attitude from the front desk clerk. I was in no way rude to her or complaining and I wasn't aware that I had gotten a king room because normally, a standard room has 2 double beds. She was a little snippy. The elevator was really slow too. Overall, it was a great hotel/room with a great location. Well worth the price, even if she was rude.”

“The room was outstanding. The room can be described as including a large king size bed, a large living room area with flat screen TV, and a awesome tile shower and nice kitchen area. They had a great restaurant that included a bar overlooking the intercostals waterway.”

• Pretty, well kept very friendly staff and has a nice eating facility.
• The blinking fire alarm light in the bedroom & no shuttle service.

“This hotel more than met with my expectorations. We were greeted after a very late arrival by a very friendly staff member who checked us in quickly and gave us nice warm cookies. The room was excellent and thoroughly clean. We had a great buffet breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice though they do need more help as we stood for some time waiting for a hostess to get seated. Check-out was smooth and easy and the staff did call for a taxi so we could get around town.”

“The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are as well. The main drawback was the inability of the hotel to have the elevators running properly for the duration of our week long stay. It made it take much longer to reach the room or the lobby. In the end, they had to issue small credits to guests for the trouble.”
