• Location: Access to the beach and to public transportation.
• Outdated, certain areas were not as cleaned as I would have expected.

“Most of the staff were service oriented and friendly except for the person who handed out the towels at the pool who was very rude, enough to justify me complaining to the manager. The hotel was outdated but OK for a 3-star hotel. The alarm clock did not work and I could not check out using the TV.”

• I liked the pool area as it was very nice - especially with the alternating colors.
• The staff at the hotel was very snooty and acted like I did not belong.

“The level of service that I received was ridiculous. I was pleasant and definitely have the money to stay at a place like this - however since I am not royalty I was treated very poorly and will never return as well as tell everyone that I encounter that the Miami Beach Resort & Spa is the worst place to stay.”

• My only complaint is there was not food or shopping in walking distance.

“I would stay at Miami beach resort again. Great location but you have to have a car or be willing to cab it if you want to shop or eat elsewhere. Great views from the hotel room. The staff was very friendly.”

“The Miami Beach Resort and Spa is a nice mid-range hotel that looks it's age. The hotel is neat and clean, but the rooms are a bit outdated and in my room the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. The beds were old and the springs were very obvious.”

“The hotel overall was okay. The location was great right on the beach. I left my jacket at the hotel and the housekeeping staff claimed that they did not find anything in the room.”

• The location is ok.
• Extra fees.

“This hotel did not meet my expectations for a three star hotel. I was surprised and disapointed at the $10 resort fee and the $ 22 parking fee. The hotel is dated, and has definately seen better times. At $19 for the buffet breakfast, I took a pass.”

• The room was large and clean with a nice view of both the ocean and the Miami skyline.
• The only parking was valet parking.

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean, the rooms were large, and had a nice pool and beach area. All the staff that we encountered were kind and helpful. The price we paid for the room was nice, but we didn't know that there would be so many add on expenses, like valet parking (and the tips for each time you needed to use your car which is required to get anywhere from this location) the resort fee and internet access. This upped the cost of the room considerably, but all in all it was a nice place and we had a good time in Miami.”

• Great Hotel! Not far from South Beach strip by cab like 7-10 min
• no hotel shuttle to south beach had to take cab

“I was very surprised when I arrived at the Wyndam but I did enjoy my stay for one night. I recommend for a family stay as it is right on the beach. I would not stay more than 3 nights here or for business.”

• Very good quality rooms, ambience and well maintained
• Resort fees of 25 dollars for the two nights over and above the paid charges, taxes.

“A nicely maintained hotel on collins avenue further north of the fountainbleu complex. For those looking for a good location on miami beach (not south beach) this is a good choice both from the cost and quality. It is however a fair distance from south beach. It took me 45 mins to walk from the lincoln road (17th street) shops to this place but was pleasant in the evening. Rooms are big, clean.”

• rooms are AWFUL!!!

“Bathrooms are weird and the rooms really need to be redone. Front desk was nice and gave us a slightly better room. Not bad for the price I suppose.”

• The room was clean and the hotel itself was nice.
• That there was no ramps for strollers only handicap little elevators that were hard to use. Not comfortable at all for mothers with babies and stroller

“It was overall nice except for the uncomfortable beds and no ramps for strollers, no where to be found. Someone always had to help me carry the stroller down the stairs. Other parents were complaining also.”

“I was very upset that I was billed $11.30 for what the Hotel called a RESORT fee. I was at the Hotel for a total of 7.5 hours. I only slept in a room and checked out. ”

• Very beautiful nice hotel.
• They tacked on several charges we were unaware of.

“We had to switch rooms because the internet did not work in that room. It was difficult to accommodate the van we were driving or any other large vehicles at the hotel. (Including trucks and large SUV's) There were several fees tacked on to our bill that were unexpected (resort fee, etc...) We ate lunch at the pool side cafe. When the bill finally arrived there was only one copy to sign for the restaurant. Due to our time constraints we had to hurry out with out a copy. The charge on our final bill was over $10 higher than the actual charge. Also, we rented a movie that was supposed to be $12 and the charge was actually $13.50. The hotel is very nice and beautiful, we just felt we were a little Taken"!"”

• the hotel concierge is an amazing person.
• The main restaurant was not open 24/7
