• Clean, friendly and
  accommodating.

“The staff is trained to please. We were initially put into a mini suite but at 1 am noise kept us up. Upon calling the front desk we were moved to an ocean front room. This move made our stay quiet, enjoyable and relaxing.”

• Fantastic room with beautiful view of beach, pools, and ocean.
• I loved everything about this hotel except the parking fee.

“We were upgraded at no charge to a very nice room with a fantastic oceanfront view on the 16th floor. Full height windows and sliding glass door with a nice balcony. Very comfortable bed. The best HDTV picture I've ever seen. We didn't want to leave. Sliding glass window on the shower so you can enjoy the ocean view while taking a shower.”

• The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay.
• No place to park a car unless you use the valet service at $30.00 per day.

“The hotel was truly an excellent place to stay. The room was great. I was up graded to a mini suite with an ocean view for the same price. The room was clean and the service was good. The staff was very helpful. When I checked out there were no hidden fees.”

“I live in Miami and there are many hotels to choose from on South Beach/Miami Beach area. I wanted a weekend getaway and found a excellent deal on Priceline. From the moment I walked in the staff was very nice. The lady at the front desk upgraded me to a deluxe corner suite. I was really impressed. The room was beautiful and I just loved the contemporary bathroom. It was beautiful. Just advise that everything is pricey at the hotel from food and drinks. Bring your own, although there is NO fridge in your room. I loved also the beach is right there in front of the hotel. I am already dreaming of staying there again!”

• We were upgraded to a very nice ocean view room.
• Pool bar on a Saturday afternoon should be relaxing, instead they had a DJ pumping loud house club music which was annoying and not relaxing. Only negative.

“ We needed to get away near home and found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room for the price - it was a great value. The food was phenomenal at both pool bar and GiGi's - best meals we have had in some time. We will come back to hotel just to eat dinner. I would challenge them to revisit their Saturday afternoon pool deck entertainment. They had a DJ pumping house remix club type music which was just not our idea if a relaxing spa type resort. This music would have been appropriate at night but not on a lazy afternoon - that was a big disappointment. Other than that it was a great stay. ”

• We got upgraded to an Ocean-view room and the staff was extremely friendly.

“This hotel was completely amazing. We stayed in a room that had ocean-view and had a hot tub. The staff was very friendly and professional. The only thing downside to consider is parking, which is 30 dollars for valet in the hotel.”

• Awesome hotel for the price spent.
• It was a little far from the main strip.

“We paid much for one night and it was a steal. It is a little distance from South Beach area but definitely more resort like. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wish I could turn back the clock and relive this vacation all over again!”

• The way they had the setup at the pool, and the service at the pool.
• The parking setup 30.00 dollars daily plus tips is too much to pay for your car.

• Location on the beach, pools, bed was comfortable, great TV.
• Gym was too crowded, no hotel service book, elevators agonizingly slow.

“Enjoyed the hotel, but disappointed with the fitness center. I think it was temporary, but would have liked to have known that. Also thought the Internet access was a little expensive. No information book in the hotel about services, room service menu, etc., Staff was friendly. Beach was nice, but the chairs were packed in and very close together.”

• It is 20 steps from the beach.
• Not very close to a fast food restaurant that is open after 11pm.

“Very nice. A lot of swimming pools that are open every hour and is literally connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Rooms are very modern and the shower is gigantic.”

• Beach access, bartenders, customer service, luxury.
• Pools were often littered with bugs. But it's south Florida, after all.

• Absolutely beautiful time! Most of hotel has been updated, still a few months away from being complete!
• Had a party around the pool until midnight, but it is Miami.

“We had 3 nights starting late Friday and leaving at 5 am on Monday. It was absolutely fantastic. The lobby is spectacular. Our room had an oversize jacuzzi tub and flat panel TV. There were plenty of chairs available around the multiple pools, something I was concerned about. There is a pretty steep surcharge to rent chairs at the beach, but we just put towels and books down on the nice lounges around the pool and laid on towels at the beach for a short time.The grounds are much cleaner since being redone only a few months ago and looks much better than the more expensive resorts around. The staff was very helpful during checkout, getting a cab and printing out boarding passes. Wow!”

• They gave us a nice 9th floor rooms.
• Drunks in hallway at midnight -
  2:00 am. Kept waking us up.

“Nice facility. There was an odd setup in the bathroom with no counter space due to a large artsy sink. The $30 parking fee added quite a bit. Very nice beds though, definitely above average. The desk was evidently a later addition as it pushed the dresser so that it covered part of the bathroom door. The worst part was we stayed one night, on a Friday evening, and we could hear drunk guests coming up the hall at 12:00 and 2:00 am. The room was not very soundproofed from the hall.”

• It was filthy.
• The location of the room.

“The hotel was nice and it was what is supposed to be. Clean, big spacious rooms. No problems at all. Expensive parking ($30) per 24 hour period. MY only complain is that although the hotel was half full. I got the only room with no view at all and I do not mean ocean view. My room had no view at all.”

• Right on the beach, gorgeous balconies!
• No privacy in bathrooms, property stolen from our room, hallways were smelly.

“This hotel is an older one, recently renovated. Our room had a beautiful balcony with a great view of the beach and the hotel's multiple pools. Location is good, but if you're looking for South Beach - it's over 20 blocks walking distance. The hallway on our floor smelled of mildew (closer to the smell of wet diapers really) and my fiancée had a pair of designer sunglasses and a bottle of expensive cologne that were missing when we packed up to check out. Although, the price we paid for the room was so much less than the rack rate that we got a good price even adding in the cost of replacing the stolen items. There's an in - room safe, it just didn't occur to us to put those items in it.”

• The hotel was beautiful.
• Service - room service never brought my the ice nor cups I needed for my niece's medication.

“I called for room service to bring the cups and ice for my niece's medication. No one showed, after thirty minutes I called inquiring about the items and they apologized and they will get back to me. No one showed nor did they call me to make me aware of the delay. As a result I have to check out and rush her to back to my house to get her back up medicine in order to avoid a bad reaction. What made it worst, I would have expected a general manager or someone to call to either apologize and no one did. I had friends coming down and I will not refer them to this hotel. Terrible customer service.”

• I loved the friendly service and the comfort of the hotel room, very luxurious.
• I didn't like that the hotel had no good restaurants at walking distance only the hotels expensive restaurants.

“Construction noise and debris all over the place. Sit at the pool and listen to the jack hammer. Room was not orderly when I arrived. No workout facility, no spa, no complimentary newspaper, no direct beach access. Give this property six months following completion of work.”

“Expect to pay an additional $20 a day to park your car, typical for Miami. The Beach bar food is pricey and not all that good. Stick with the sandwich and snack menu. Breakfast in the main dining room was very good.”

• The pool is gorgeous!
• They did not have a refrigerator available (even at an additional cost) and the front desk was down right rude about it!

“Most of the staff is pleasant (other than the front desk). The pool is great but there is construction going on and it can be noisy. It is definitely not for someone looking for a romantic getaway but for someone looking for a nice pool that doesn't mind the noise.”

“Fascinating deco hotel. Rooms complete, stylish and well decorated, with interesting features. Very nice deco lobby. Good location, large hot tub and even a BIG pool, with again good decorations. Excellent hotel for romance and friends. Easy parking next to the building (public). The atmosphere was very lovely; The hotel is in a great spot for business travelers but for leisure travelers it was not too far but we did have to travel to get to restaurants. But overall I had a lovely time there and I would return to that hotel if I was to come back to Miami.”

• Beautiful lobby area, hotel is on beach front.
• Valet parking only, car was damaged by valet driver. Hotel in desperate need of refurbishment.

“This hotel is in a beautiful location. The rooms and furnishings looked like they needed to be redone 20 to 30 years ago. The only parking at the hotel is $22.00 and done by a valet service which scratched the entire side of my car and spilled what looked to be coffee or soda an the exterior, after all that I was still charged for parking. The fire alarm in the hotel sounded at 5:00am and was a false alarm which I was told happens often by the front desk.”

“This hotel in near everything from downtown, south beach, and shopping. We didn't need to worry about driving and when we needed to drive everything was near the hotel. I truly enjoyed my stay at the Eden Roc; I will come again soon.”

• Big noisy construction until end of 2008. It did affect stay in the pool but not in room.

“Good hotel, except for the noise and "view" of the construction next to the pool. I would return. Great if considered the deal through "Name your own price". You would not get this category for the price I paid (below and close to the hundred!)”

• The room that we had had an unbelievable view of the occasion with a wrap around balcony. The pools and deck were lovely.
• The bed in our room was extremely uncomfortable, needed anew mattress.

“The hotel is undergoing renovations. They start at around 7:30 or 8 in the morning, which for us were not a problem but if one wanted to sleep late this could would be bad. Our room although it was amazingly spacious had a horrible queen-size bed (which at check in we were told was a king-size). The swimming pools were great and had an amazing view of the ocean front.”

• This was not a 4 Star Resort - It was very dirty and in a severe state of disrepair.
• Dirty, Old in a Severe State of Disrepair - very disappointed.

“Definitely not a 4 Star Hotel and not up to Marriott standards. I would have canceled my room when I arrived and it was not refundable. Very disappointed and could not wait to leave the hotel the next day.”

• I liked the fact the pool was easily accessible with children it's important, the bell men were really nice and very willing to help.
• Getting to the beach was an inconvenience because of the construction, make a better shortcut.

“All in all it was great, the kids loved the main pool, (the pool on top of the bar was a little too chilly for them), the room service did a great job and the staff were very willing to help, the only inconvenience we had was that it was hard to get to the beach because of the construction.”
