• Very close to the beach. Room was clean. Bed was REALLY comfortable.
• Wasn't told beforehand about the $17.00 to park and $9.95 per person for use of the pool, fitness center and breakfast.

“It is really a bad experience for us. Beside the cost we already paid on priceline. This hotel charged us 9.95/per person/per night mandatory hotel fee.
Since the hotel fee is mandatory, why does not just put it in the room fee?”

• Clean, minimalist. Good location, good breakfast included. Has parking across the street.
• The daily activity per person fee & parking fee was too high. Unstable beds, Not enough light in room, dangerous bathroom, no handle to exit shower.

“Overall a great experience for the price. It looked clean and uncluttered, I would stay there again and have already recommended it to others. I turned the AC off because it was too noisy and strong, I got sick on day 2. With the AC off, the room remained at 75 degrees F. Nice to have a concierge too, I guessed they really were the hotel deities. Not on the beach but about 3 minutes away from beautiful beach.”

• I loved the fact that it was so close to the beach and the room was clean and comfortable to live in.
• What's there not to like?

“This hotel is great for anyone traveling on a budget that is looking for a good, clean, comfortable and safe place to stay. An added bonus is that the beach is only two minutes away. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• It was very clean, and the workers seemed genuinely interested in helping out any way they could. They seemed very friendly too.
• To have to valet park my car for 17 dollars. I did not use the service.

“Small and cozy motel. I consider a hotel one with full service dining, not just breakfast which this one had. I did not know it did not have full dining facilities. Has excellent ambiance. you'd think it was a high class hotel. The room I stayed was spacious with really nice artistic furnishings and very clean. Had a safe for valuables like a high class hotel.”

• I liked the designer rooms.
• Clerk tried to add extra charges at time of check in, actually caught her in a lie.

“Be careful when checking in to this hotel, staff seems to be a little bit dishonest, she tried to take on extra charges for a breakfast that none of us planned on eating. Also they definitely need new beds I felt like I was sleeping in a u shaped mattress.”

• Good vibe, nice setting. Very friendly & helpful staff.
• A healthy walk to Ocean Drive/Lincoln Road. Not many restaurants around hotel.

“We really enjoyed this hotel. It has a nice vibe without being stuck up. It's a very healthy walk from Ocean Drive/Lincoln Road, so be prepared to drive or walk for 20-30 minutes. You'll want to do the 'spoil me' plan which features free drinks at happy hour. Staff was great, very helpful and friendly. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Decor was nice, although bathroom could have been updated a little better - seems like it had a new coat of paint but that windows, sink and shower were older and didn't quite match up with the rest of the hotel. You'll love the Courtyard and cabanas, as well as cabanas by the pool.”

• We enjoyed the pool, the bar, and the other guests.
• The room had mold, the front desk was not helpful, and the public facilities were unclean.

“I enjoyed my trip to Miami but this hotel was not a three star hotel. It was not very clean. The hotel has cabanas, but they don't keep the linens clean and fresh. Also the restroom in our room had mold.”

• It was convenient and the public spaces were aesthetic.
• Parking was self serve and not monitored and many stairs to get to room with luggage.

“This is an older hotel. It's in the middle of older Miami beach. It's fairly close to South Beach, but not in the middle of all the commotion. The room was small, and the bathroom was older, but the hotel was mocked up modern-art-deco, which made it aesthetic. The public area has modern furniture, and chill out music and definitely a feel of Miami chill. If you're bringing a car, the self park lot across the street was ok, but was not watched and there was a car stolen while I was there (not mine, but upsetting none the less.) Considering the other room options for hundreds of dollars more a night I'd say this was an OK, but not spectacular option.”

• Small but nice pool area and the beautiful backyard.
• Too far away for walking to interesting dining places.

“Lovely small hotel with a great atmosphere. You should know that for 10 $ /day continental breakfast, internet (need your own computer), wine and beer and cocktails at a daily happy hour are included. Pool area and the little backyard are decorated beautifully and are a good place to hang out. This hotel might be a good place especially for younger or single traveler who likes a personnel and connecting place to stay.”

• The rooms were terrible and the breakfast was dreadful.

“The rooms in this hotel need to be updated and the bathrooms need to be gutted out very bad. The rooms are already small and the bathroom old so they need to make them look nice. Everything could just use replacing and updated. The lobby is small but looked cute. The pool area is very nice and private. I wasn't happy about the mandatory $10/day charge and we didn't utilize any of the things involved. It should be an option. The staff is very friendly. I wouldn't stay there again. Just very small and outdated.”

• The 'ugly red elevator'!

“The place was everything we expected and then some. We were 2 women staying alone and we wanted a safe clean place. Accommodation in the whole Miami/Miami Beach/South Beach area was very expensive everywhere. We just stayed one night before our cruise but I would like to return to this hotel for a few days.”

• The drag queen theme throughout.

“I traveled to Miami Beach with my elderly mother. Just after arriving at the hotel on a Sunday night, the Birdcage (drag queen) party began. We went across the street for dinner to escape. Then we found out that we were automatically charged for drinks at the party. I requested three times to have the automatic charge removed and finally had to insist as I checked out. The hotel lobby is pretty and there is a nice pool, but I will not stay there again.”

• Fabulous staff.
• Location and red elevator made me a little uneasy, but ultimately it was fine.

“This hotel is trying to be very hip but is undermined by the "nothing's happening here" location. At first I wasn't sure what I had gotten into, but I ended up loving the staff and enjoying my stay. "Spoil me" package (happy hour and continental breakfast for $10) is definitely worth it.”

• Needs lots of updating. Hotel manager had no personality.

“Good hotel overall. The beach is less than a block away. Hotel needs some updating in the rooms. Drag queen party on Sunday nights by the pool. Parking pretty tight and expensive. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.”

“The location across from the beach is good, but there aren't a lot of restaurant choices, or much going on in that part of Miami beach. There is a resort fee, but it covers free "happy hour" drinks as well as breakfast.”

• The staff was wonderful; especially raffle that went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect.
• The location is not exactly convenient to restraints and the south beach strip.

“Our family met there for vacation/Christmas/new years this year. The hotel is right across the street from the beach which is excellent. It is about 2 miles from shopping and eating. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which is very hard to find in Miami not known for customer service). The free drink happy hour was definitely a big perk. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing. The rooms were nice and comfortable and we would definitely stay again. You can't beat the price! Thank you circa 39.”

• Website makes hotel appear as if it is "adults only"--but fine for family.

• Loved the location, free breakfast, free drinks from 6:30 - 8:00, and the pool.
• Rooms are small and a bit bare.

“Trendy hotel. At first felt out of place being from the Midwest, but that soon disappeared. Loved walking 1 block to the boardwalk on the beach. Loved the breakfast (eggs, toast, bagels, sausage, bacon, cereal, yogurt), and the happy hour. Met great people.”

“The staff were not very friendly. The rooms do not say "Welcome". Everything is white and sterile looking like a hospital room. The pool area is very nice. You have to pay the hotel$10.00 a night to park your car in a lot across the street. There are a few parking meters on the street that are free from 6pm to 8am the rest of the time they are $.50 an hour. At 8am you have to go out and feed the meter or risk being towed.”

• Room, pool, 1 block from beach, "boutique" hotel-very chic.
• Parking was inconvenient. Valet expensive.

“The hotel was very nice. I would rate it a 3 star rather than a 2. Very clean and chic. The staff was very attentive and nice. The only problem I had was with checking-in. The hotel did not have my reservation. It took over 1 hour to check me in. Otherwise, overall experience was great. Location is wonderful. 1 block from beach. Great food, shops all within walking distance of hotel. Classic south beach "boutique" hotel experience. I loved it. Just the relaxation quality I needed.”

• The staff was very nice!!
• The front door was on a busy street. And you could not park there, you had to pay extra and park in the lot across the street.

“The staff were very friendly. The rooms were extra clean and I loved the white and light blue color of things (even the tile in the bathroom).”

• The hotel was very clean, organized small with the same feel of a larger hotel.
• The hotel bathroom showers could use a little updating the shower was cracked and filled with large amounts of sealant puddy.

“Circa hotel staff were friendly, small hotel with large chain feel. Decor was wonderful, quiet but just one block off the beach and the heart of all the action. Rooms are very clean with modern art deco feel . Luxury accommodations for a fraction of the cost.”

• Everything about this hotel was great I just think it was more for non-family but that is OK it worked very well for us because we do not hang around.

• Loved the thread count of the linens, the friendliness of the staff, happy hour, reasonable parking, and the Miami Vice overall feel of the hotel.
• I wish I could have stayed longer.

“This is the ideal Miami spot. Across the street, South Beach. Minutes from the Nightlife and shopping. The staff is friendly. The outdoor cabanas were fun to hang out in and the happy hour is 2 for 1. I love that breakfast is served until 11am, for those of us that love the Miami nightlife. Crest and Aveda skin and hair care products were available in the rooms, complimentary. The kitchenettes, flat screen TV's, white linens throughout and neon lights make this a VERY hot spot in Miami. We have stayed at many hotels on South Beach within the past three years and this is now our favorite!”
