“We had a view out our dirty window of the airconditioning mechanics. Lunch pool side was the worst box lunch dining that I have ever experienced and it was expensive. Allow yourself plenty of time for the valet to retrieve your car, it was generally a 45min wait, (I think they had to park the cars in South Beach).” Feb 2, 2005 by
Naomi from Brooklyn, NY
“Very nice, clean and convenient resort. The pools are magnificent (even though I did not make use of them). I also did not make use of their restaurants or entertainment but understand that everything the resort has to offer is worth its rating. I feel that the staff could have been a bit more personable but I think that they are very busy with conferences, conventions etc. and don't concentrate on the regular guests.” Feb 1, 2005 by

“No one should stay here until they are finished with their renovations and with the huge dirt hole they have in front of the hotel. Jan 31, 2005 by
Amy from Wolverine Lake, MI
“The hotel was beautiful including the views, pools, and restaurants. I would recommend this hotel for sure.” Jan 31, 2005 by
Cesar from Atlanta, GA
“The hotel is excellent, rooms are very nice” Jan 13, 2005 by
Sandra from Tampa, FL
“No problem when registering, but the room was tiny, old, ugly bathroom (toilet was connected to the wall, not the floor, sink with brown plastic vanity). I could touch the ceiling with my hand and I'm 5'6. View was of the roof. We complained and got a 2nd room which was a little better but very strong smoky smell. After a couple of hours they got us a 3rd room, still outdated but bigger (2 doubles instead of king) and didn't smell bad. The condition of the rooms was a disappointment. The hotel is old and it looks it.” Jan 9, 2005 by
Israel from Lakewood, NJ
“This place is great! Nicest pool on the beach! The hotel is located in the middle of it all! Nothing to complain about!” Jan 7, 2005 by
Brian from Roslyn, NY
“Had only 1 room with King Size bed. Room had wallpaper coming off the wall and horrible view of the roof of the ballroom. Complained and they told me it was the only king size room and they could do nothing for me.” Jan 6, 2005 by
Anthony from Redondo Beach, CA
“Pool is nice, ok location, rooms very small. House keeping did a very poor job.” Jan 4, 2005 by

“Lovely resort.” Dec 28, 2004 by
Jeremy H. from Omaha
“We spent 2 weeks at The Fontainebleau and will every year now, it was great. The hotel staff was great and the hotel itself is beautiful and charming. We had and executive level room with balcony and ocean view, and literally spent as much tim on the balcony as we did at other parts of the resort. Its absolutely wonderful. My only recommendation is that be nice to the staff and you get a lot farther and treated much better than the rude guests. A please and thank-you go very far!” Dec 24, 2004 by
Etta A. from Howell “The Hilton was right on the beach and had what appeared to be the best pool and outside restaurant combination of all the hotel in the area. I was extremely satisfied and would go back to the hotel and recommend it to others.” Dec 21, 2004 by
Brian B. from Staten Island “Gave me a free ocean view room upgrade. Room was spacious and clean. Comfortable bed, and nice bathroom. Shower pressure was a tad on the weak side and the drain in the sink was a bit slow. Hotel is undergoing major renovation right now, but the property is still beautiful.” Dec 15, 2004 by
Kimely P. from Miami “The Fontainebleau Hilton is one of the most breathtaking resorts on Miami Beach. The amenities and activities are top notch. I highly recommend this hotel to parents who want alone time on vacation, but don't want to have to worry about watching the kids.” Dec 9, 2004 by
Laura W. from Glen Carbon “This hotel is very big and very nice. The location is in the heart of Miami Beach and is right on the boardwalk close to several other large resort chains. The beach is beautiful and the pool was fabulous. The beach bar/restaurant was also really nice and convenient although a bit pricey. We walked up and down the beach and agreed that the Fountianbleu Hilton was one of the nicest of all of the resorts in the area. The hotel is a bit older than some newer properties but the renovations that they have done make it still a very nice resort.” Dec 9, 2004 by
Jay E. from Loganville “The Hilton Fontainebleau was very clean, and in good shape. I was told it will be getting some needed renovations after Hiltons new building next door is complete in early-mid 2005. Our king bed room was not available and was moved to the executive level with use of the penthouse (complimentary drinks and snacks). Very friendly and helpful staff. Existing landscape is beautiful. Great for a nap under the palm trees in a hammock. Would recommend this hotel to anyone if they stand the sights of construction progress, which does not effect the main hotel areas, but would not stay at normal room rate at this hotel. Enjoyed our stay and would stay again if in the area.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Dung C. from Tuscaloosa “Older, needs renovation. Pool area is great.” Dec 6, 2004 by
Eli W. from Spring Valley “Very friendly staff and beautiful facilities.” Dec 5, 2004 by
Harry F. from Fremont “The service and accomodations at the Fontainebleau Hilton Resort in Miami Beach were excellent during our recent stay in November 2004. I presented my Hilton Honors card at check-in and requested a renovated, oceanview room. The hotel staff was very accomodating of my request. Due to the tower construction some of the facilities were not available but that did not affect our stay.” Dec 4, 2004 by
Stacy H. from Kalamazoo “This hotel was listed as a resort and it is not a resort. It was nice, but the spa was not a real "spa". There was a lot of construction and maybe when they are done it will be a spa, but right now it is a gym and they have massages and pedicures available, but it is definitely NOT a spa.” Dec 2, 2004 by
Clyde E. from New York “(1) The hotel room was CLEAN and COMFY (it faced away from the beach, but this was irrelevant. (2) The hotel lobby was large and stylish, and the grounds were great. I sat by the pool area each day. No noise problems, as some reviewers raised regarding construction. (3) The hotel has a gym, and although it cost money ($10 per day or $25 for the weekend), the gym was actually quite large for a hotel gym. (4) The hotel was lively (busy, not too much so) it was obvious that people were enjoying themselves. (5) Although the hotel charges an $18 per night valet fee for cars (something that every hotel in the South Beach area does)--remarkably, there is a municipal parking lot one block north--I saved money each day by parking my car in that lot and just putting quarters into the 6-hour meter. I didn't feel like I got scammed by yet another hotel charging fees for parking at the hotel. The front desk gave me quarters when I ran out; Note however, that free parking is from 6 PM to 8 AM every day; between 8 AM and 6 PM you have to put change into the meter (up to 6 hours worth). I had no problem dealing with the meters and there was always enough space in the municipal lot; (6) Believe it or not, some hotels in South Beach charge extra fees for using the towels and the cots by the pool--this hotel didn't do any of that--no hidden fees. (7) The hotel is conveniently located--it's near the road that leads into and out of South Beach--so it's easy to pick up the I-95--also it borders on a nice boardwalk that I jogged on down to South Beach (a couple miles a way). The area is great and while you cannot walk to South Beach, the hotel's location is very accessible. All in all, a great choice. I was extremely satisfied by the quality.” Nov 11, 2004 by
“Excellent service, location was great and the price was the best of all!” Nov 10, 2004 by
“Wonderful hotel, both staff and grounds. Would recommend this hotel for any occasion. Thanks, Hilton for making my stay pleasant.” Oct 21, 2004 by
“Good price, staff was pleasant, and premises were of good quality.” Oct 20, 2004 by
“We were a little disappointed with the hotel. Our room was guaranteed no smoking but it had a bad smell of smoke. There was no balcony. But they were very nice at the front desk and they switched us to a room with a better view and a balcony, but it was not renovated and it was kind of old looking. The grounds were nice and they had a lovely kid's pool” Oct 6, 2004 by
Susan D. from Chesterfield “I was very impressed with the gorgeous hotel grounds and beautiful pool complex. When we arrived at the room at 11:30 and the beds were not made we decided to put our bags in the room and leave to go swim. Upon returning to the room we found a nice basket that contained grapes, bananas, apples, cheese and crackers. Along with the basket was a very nice note of apology saying that housekeeping was sorry that the room was not made when we arrived. WE ARRIVED THREE AND A HALF HOURS BEFORE CHECK IN!!!” Oct 3, 2004 by
Steve P. from Pasadena “The staff treated us great when we arrived. They put us in a great room overlooking the pools and the beach. The bed was very comfortable the bathtub was huge with whirlpool jets. I wish I had booked more than one night there.” Sep 5, 2004 by
Laura C. from New York, NY “The hotel itself was great. Security was a big concern. Maids clean the room in the morning and then in the afternoon watch for people to leave an go back in. My sister left the room and said hi to the maid, who immediately entered my room without knocking, catching me half dressed. I reported the incident to the concierge who said security would contact me. They never did.” Hotel Representatives:
