• Perfection, great suite, great view, loved it.
• Okay 1 bad thing is 6.50 for a corona? Plus 18% gratuity for a guy who doesn't know what Jaeger is?

“Beautiful 1 bedroom suite. two balconies, washer or dryer, two showers, jetted bath, amazing view of the Atlantic and down Collins Ave. Pool is huge, beach is a short walk away. This hotel is 15 stars out of 5. Great staff .”

“The location is wonderful. For the price we paid, we were surprised to be billed $25 per night for a rollaway bed, $10 per day for wi-fi (it's free in even the cheapest hotels!). The parking was way too much, $24 per day plus tips. Our suite was very clean. It just seems that they want to tack on extra charges for many things that most hotels provide. No hair dryers available. The children's pool was very nice.”

• clean rooms
• unfriendly staff, very impersonal

“breakfast was included in our quote, however, we were issued with coupons which didn't even cover the cost of the buffet breakfast! Each morning we were handed a bill with the remainder of the cost + sales tax + gratuity!! We had to queue to get on the lift every time and when they'd arrive they were full! The pool, which is beautiful, was always crowded with screaming children and it was nearly impossible to find a space to put your sun lounger. As we were foreign we were constantly being hoodwinked by the Haitian taxi drivers who have the contract to lift fares outside this hotel.....BEWARE!!! We would not recommend this hotel.”

• The location of the hotel was very convenient to Miami Beach and the greater Miami area.
• For the price I paid the size of the room and the ameneties of the room and resort were not impressive.

“The room we were given was small with minimum amenities. No hair dryer, microwave or mini refrigerator was included. The room had two basic double beds in tight quarters. This type of room room is what I would expect in a one or two diamond hotel, not a hotel that was marketed as "resort accomodations." The hotel location was excellent. ”

“The Fountaine Bleu is a gorgeous hotel with a great location and spectacular pool and beach facilities. The food there was quite good, the dinner buffet was well priced, but breakfast was a little expensive. I take mostly positives from my stay there. However, be aware that the room-cleaning staff is among the worst I've seen. They did a terrible job of cleaning out the coffee mugs and couldn't figure out how to deliver towels on a consistent basis. Despite being on a Non-Smoking floor, the room reeked of cigarettes the first few days we were there. The hotel -- all hotels -- should consider fining smokers who violate the no-smoking rules. Charging $3.00 to use the room safe was laughable. The hotel needs to add high-speed internet access or a wi-fi hot spot.Other than that, we were totally delighted with the hotel, would stay there again and have recommended it to friends.”

• We were placed in a room with a view of the roof.

“The hotel was very nice, looked just like the pictures. When checking in, the clerk commented, then she placed us in a room that was small and no view. Hotel was obviously not full.”

“We loved the pool and the location right on Miami beach. Our room was very clean and spacious. My only complaint was the room in the restaurants was not very good and over-priced. Overall I would recommend this hotel and I would definately stay here again.”

• the staff is nice and the hotel lobby is very nice.
• the room was not cleaned well at all, and alot of noise at night in hall.

“The hotel in general is nice and the location is very good. I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. I think they have to make an extra effort to make sure with the housekeeping about cleaning up all over the room and bathroom.”

• we were very happy about the hotel, we visited it once and last time was much better
• we didn't like that the kids club is close for kids under 5, and we didn't like to pay for the gym

• Terrible view of rooftop and machinery that went off 6:30 am, room smelled musky, like cigarettes

“Enjoyed the amenities! Great Miami Beach Location. Feel like we were given a room that was inadequate and not condusive to sleep. There was machinery that went on every morning at 6:30 a.m. each morning we were there. Also, there were workers working on the machinery right outside our window. At night, I guess our room was located above a bar/nightclub and we could feel the music vibrating on the floor. ”

• Service was very slow. Understaffed at all areas. food and beverage are overpriced for area

“This is probably the worst Hilton that I have stayed in. Room service took 1 1/2 hours after oredering breakfast. Food arrived missing certain items that were to be included. Room was missing several amenities when we checked in. Main bar had an excellent band but was so understaffed that they lost out on the opportunity to make more money through their bar sales.”

“We were more than pleased with this hotel. We got a newly decorated corner spacious room. The pool area was beautiful and very tropical. We only ate lunch at the hotel which was good. The hotel is building a new tower next door which looks gorgeous. Some construction but didn't bother us as most of the noisy stuff is finished. The boardwalk was very nice for walking as it went a long ways down the beach. It was fun to see all the boats for the boat show as it was right across the street. Not much within walking distance so I 'm glad we had a car. Overall would stay here again. Had wonderful weather and a great time.”

“This hotel is not worth going to at all. For many years, always thought that this hotel was suppossed to be a very nice place to stay but I was very wrong. The rooms are very old and have not been renovated in over thirty years.The staff at the hotel was not so friendly and accomidating. Be very careful because they charge you for every little thing. I would have rather stayed at a days inn for a cheaper price and probably would have had a nicer room.”

“There are 2 sub-sections to this hotel, the Versailles and Chateau buldings. The Chateau buidling has remodeled rooms but the rooms in the Versailles building are not. ”

• Great Locattion and great pool facilities.
• For a Resort Hotel - The rooms are nothing but average at best. Some rooms are comparable to satying at a Best Western or Holiday Inn.

“Location, location, location. Oceanside with access to gorgeous east coast style boardwalk and other hotels. Comfortable pool area, GREAT for kids (Cookie the Octopus has own special river with slides for the little people). Tropigala show is terrible and that makes it a laugh -- every part of it is handled and performed by folks that couldn't get cruise ship jobs. Biggest drawback is the rooms which are more low budget Vegas than FL beach resort. Think this Hilton is more family-friendly than romantic weekend, and ladies -- forget it, the Spa is under contruction.”

“I was graciously welcomed by everyone from the Valet to the Room Service gentleman. I am a Hilton Honors member and got upgraded to THE PENTHOUSE! For price I ended up in the penthouse. I had to stay for business this time and unfortunatley did not get to enjoy all of the other things it had to offer. However, I plan to book a family vacation there in June. ”

• The fact that it was located on the beach was a definite plus
• We had lunch pool side and it was horrible and expensive

“We had a view out our dirty window of the airconditioning mechanics. Lunch pool side was the worst box lunch dining that I have ever experienced and it was expensive. Allow yourself plenty of time for the valet to retrieve your car, it was generally a 45min wait, (I think they had to park the cars in South Beach).”

• Too big, not personal, too many people, too many conferences going on

“Very nice, clean and convenient resort. The pools are magnificent (even though I did not make use of them). I also did not make use of their restaurants or entertainment but understand that everything the resort has to offer is worth its rating. I feel that the staff could have been a bit more personable but I think that they are very busy with conferences, conventions etc. and don't concentrate on the regular guests.”

• Nonrenovated rooms are a disaster, as is the reconstruction

“No one should stay here until they are finished with their renovations and with the huge dirt hole they have in front of the hotel.
It would not hurt to clean the hotel windows once in a while. In general, disappointing.”

• I didn't like the valet parking. It was all they offered for parking.

“No problem when registering, but the room was tiny, old, ugly bathroom (toilet was connected to the wall, not the floor, sink with brown plastic vanity). I could touch the ceiling with my hand and I'm 5'6. View was of the roof. We complained and got a 2nd room which was a little better but very strong smoky smell. After a couple of hours they got us a 3rd room, still outdated but bigger (2 doubles instead of king) and didn't smell bad. The condition of the rooms was a disappointment. The hotel is old and it looks it.”

“Had only 1 room with King Size bed. Room had wallpaper coming off the wall and horrible view of the roof of the ballroom. Complained and they told me it was the only king size room and they could do nothing for me.”
