  • Nice great staff, public spaces, nice view, super beds, real balcony with chairs and table.
  • Needed to have toilet fixed, fridge replaced. All were done quickly. Parking fee!

“Great staff, super comfortable bed, good soundproofing, good location on 17th St. You need a car and the parking is expensive. Great deal at the Priceline bid rate.”

  • Great views and wonderful bathrooms.
  • The parking deck was attached to the hotel in an odd way.

“I would stay at the Hilton again in a flash. It is a very modern hotel with great water views all around. The staff were very friendly and quite knowledgeable. Close to the airport-Cruiseport and the beaches it is in a great location.”

  • Beautiful Place.
  • Smoking Room.

“They didn't ask if I wanted a smoking room or not they just put me in one. I am a Hilton Honors member and it says on my profile. My biggest issue was a non-smoking room. This room smelled as if someone locked themselves in the room with 2 cartons of cigarettes just before I went in. It was the worst I have ever smelt even in a low dollar hotel. Ever.”

  • Our room had a new age design, and it was very nice.
  • The additional charges for parking was not expected, $19 per night per car.

“For a 4 star hotel, there really wasn't anything exceptional about it. Our room did have a new age design, and the facility seemed very nice, but so do most hotels. Nothing really exceptional in our stay.”

  • The location and the view.
  • Parking fee!

“Everything at this hotel was great. Originally it was the Marriott marina for years and I assume Hilton purchased it and sunk a bunch of money into the outdated property. It looks great. However, self parking was 19 bucks a night and that is ridiculous. It made my good deal on bidding for that hotel not such a good deal after paying that kind of money each night to park.”

  • Overall I got a great price and it had a great welcoming environment, but of all my son had a great time there.
  • The lack of food menu they had to offer, yes great restaurant attach to it but it's not all time
    I want fanscy food.

  • Nice view from balcony and comfy lounge chairs by the pool.
  • A 4-star hotel, yet nothing was included- cable movies cost $15, parking was $19/night etc.

“Our stay was okay, but I expected a little more for 4-star. Our room wasn't very clean- there was hair all over the bathroom and ants crawling in the sink. We tried multiple ice machines on different floors before finding one that worked. The nearest vending machine was in another building entirely (inconvenient layout) and we had to go down to the lobby, outside, across a parking lot, just to get a bottle of water in the middle of the night. AND when we got there, the 1st vending machine was out of order and we had to keep walking around looking for another one. I mean, pull it together Hilton. They also charged extra for everything. $15 bucks for a cable movie, $19 per night for parking etc. The room service prices and fees in fine print were ridiculous.”

  • Relaxing hotel and bar at pool was nice.
  • It's not really in downtown and it is a little bit difficult to reach.

“The food was so-so, although not over-priced, so I guess I got what I paid for. The room was clean, had a nice bathroom. The staff was friendly. Work out area was OK. Pool was nice.”

  • The pool area was nice with very comfortable lounge chairs.
  • Cost for parking $19.00 a day and rooms are very small and old.

“Rooms are old and small when I checked in I found out there was a $19.00 self parking fee a day. For that you should get valet. The first room they put us in had an large fan outside the room trying to dry out a very large wet spot and smelled of mold on the entire floor. The second room had a dead spider on the ceiling and with 2 little girls they didn't like it. Parking was scary you have to go up a very steep, small incline then when we were leaving to get something to eat our card didn't work to get out of the parking gate because the front desk forgot to swipe our card. I assumed the hotel was on the beach because when you look at their website the list things to do at the hotel and list the beach and show pictures that leads you to believe this is on the beach nope the beach is about 5 miles away not walking distance. Overall this hotel was a disappointment!”

  • Beautiful pool. Nice views of the intra coastal. Close to beach.
  • Room was smaller than I anticipated. Parking fees to stay at a hotel I think is ridiculous.

“The room was kept in good condition. It had nice furniture and up to date fixtures. I think that the room was too small for the price. If I had stayed more than 2 nights, I would have felt claustrophobic. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with questions. Many hotels offer some kind of a breakfast and this one did not. It wasn't a big deal to us, but some people may want to know this prior to booking. They had a van that shuttled us to the beach which was very handy. We were able to avoid the search for parking and having to pay to park. The pool was beautiful. It is set on the waterway near the intra coastal. I liked staying there for the most part. Please either take away the parking fees or include it in your prices. I don't know many guests who do not have a vehicle when staying there. Either they drove there or rented a car from the airport.”

  • Location is amazing! Beautiful yachts everywhere! Minutes to nice part of Fort Lauderdale Beach & Las Olas BLVD!
  • Our room location, view of parking lot & very loud with outside/hallway noise. Service was also mediocre to sub par & uninformed.

“Okay for the money, it was AMAZING! The location is tremendous if you like yachts which we love them & the ocean air. Ate at the Marina Front Bar & that staff & chef were great! Lobby is beautifully upscale contemporary & very comfortable. LOVED IT! Rooms are well appointed and very nice but with our good price they gave us a horrible location. 1st floor with a view of the parking lot. Horrible. It was also excessively loud due to both outdoor & hallway noise. Finally the staff was polite & professional when talking to you but it ended there. First they don't explain things like the parking well, if you want to self park you have to let them know so they can activate your key so you can get in & out of the lot or you have to get a parking ticket at the gate & are charged several dollars more. No signs to explain that & they don't explain it. The valet left much to be desired & if you are in the West building its a much farther walk to lobby than to the parking lot so its not worth the $ unless your room in near that end. Our remote control didn't work & we had to call multiple times before someone came & we weren't being impatient, waited over 30 minutes before calling back the 1st time. Finally their room service is limited & only goes until 10 pm! But the Italian Place delivers all night & their food wad great & very reasonable. Overall, it was well worth the price & location was worth with minor inconveniences. Would stay again because of beautiful rooms but definitely recommend paying more for Marina view room if you can. Location. Room appointments & facilities are worth the money!”

“Although the staff is friendly, they certainly seem to have some training issues to get straight. My luggage took forever when I checked in and there were scuff marks all over the doors of my room. Additionally, my room was in a land far, far away from the lobby.”

  • View of the intercostals waterway and water taxi access was by far the best I've had in FLL.


  • Business center charged $0.50 per minute for internet access.

“This is a great hotel for pre or post cruise stay. The pool area was very nice, access to the water taxi could not be more convenient and the concierge service was exceptional.”

  • The insanity in the lobby in the mornings.

“A mixed bag. The super modern lobby and outdoor fireplace are really nice, but not really warm. And I find it hard to fathom these days when an otherwise upscale hotel charges for internet access. The room was lovely, the gym was really nice and offered chilled fruit and water, free newspapers on the landings, and the staff couldn't be friendlier - though they are often completely overwhelmed in the mornings.”

  • Great aesthetic; young, fun, and modern. Loved the pool.
  • Too many kids in the pool at times, when this is clearly meant to be an adult experience. Also, the parking is outrageously expensive ($23/day).

“We loved the Ft. Lauderdale Grande and even extended our trip so that we could spend another day by the pool. We would stay here again in a second. We felt like we were at an upscale resort, and the staff treated us like royalty. Near to plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, and also close to the beach and downtown.”

  • Plumbing was clogged, bathroom door knob fell off and I was stuck in the bathroom.

“From the outside this place looks more like a motel than hotel. The lobby and pool area are attractive but the elevator was shabby, the carpets appeared worn, the ice machines in the west wing where I stayed were all broken. The door knob on the bathroom door fell apart during my stay, the maid obviously overlooked this dangerous condition. I got stuck in the bathroom. The sink in the bathroom was clogged. The shower had minimal pressure. Nice LCD TV.”

  • The setting was lovely and the lobby had an interesting Art Deco feel.
  • The staff was not welcoming or engaged with the guests. Hotel was not very clean.

“As a hotel employee at a 5 star resort, I am accustomed to delivering a certain level of service. I notice when Staff is engaged with each other more than with guests in their space. The hallways smelled of sewage and parts of the room, halls, lobby, etc. were untouched dusty surfaces, dirty corners and baseboards, chipped paint or unpainted areas around the sink, doorframes, etc.”

  • Pricey parking, but thats typical for Ft. Laud. /Miami Metro area.

  • The view is amazing of the Intercostals water way.
  • The showers in the room the A/C unit was very loud and the hotel did nothing.

  • The insulation in the walls, doors were very poor and made me move hotels to get a good nights sleep!

“Incredible views, atmosphere is contemporary minimalism. Japanese platform beds. Fantastic staff! We just can't say enough great things about it. The Renaissance in plantation and the Hyatt Bonaventure in Weston are close second's, but this hotel is primo!”

  • Great room. Great restaurant.
  • Front desk was understaffed or in experienced.

“This newly renovated hotel was very nice and modern. As with most 4 star hotels, though you have to pay for parking and internet and breakfast if you want any. But given the price we paid, we could afford to pay for these other things and still have a great experience. (Make sure to eat at the China Grill. Typically hotel food isn't good but this restaurant was exceptional.).”

  • The price.
  • It was under construction and noisy, not at all pleasant.

“The hotel was undergoing total reconstruction. You had to walk through a construction zone, under derricks, to get from your car to the hotel. That was dangerous! Jackhammers were putting in railings on the balconies. We complained and were moved to the quiet side facing the intercostals waterway. But a 3-story yacht blocked our view--and the yacht was undergoing renovation with the constant whirl of machinery destroying any sense of vacation. The construction noise made sitting on the balcony or at the pool unpleasant. This hotel should not have been open as it was undergoing major repairs.”
