• Elevator closed for maintenance - no notice.

• The pool area was beautiful, the food was very good and the staff responded to a problems quickly.
• Housekeeping did not replenish all of our towels or the coffee condiments. Left used wash cloth in tub and did not clean sink.

• I loved the decor of the hotel.
• The room smell when I first got in there was a little musty.

“The hotel was most likely recently renovated but remnants of the old hotel were still apparent. That's why the 4-star rating may or may not be entirely accurate. That being said, the staff was more than friendly and courteous. Accommodating every request we had (e.g. providing a feather-free room, a rollaway, a refridgerator)”

• The Lobby was gorgeous and right in Central Station.
• The location at night was scarey.

“The hotel was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. During the day it was great to be at Grand Central, very convenient. At night there is nothing close by unless you want to go to Time Square.”

“Hotel staff was courteous and professional. Hotel was well maintained, clean and every appliance worked as designed. They put out a coffee station in the lobby every morning for free and the coffee was excellent. The pool area was very nice with beautiful landscaping and waterfall.There was also a pool side bar with happy hour 5-7.”

• Air conditioner and T. V. had minor issues. Pool water was hot.

“This is a very nice hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. It seemed that most guests were there for business as it seems like a business area. We were planning on staying 1 night and stayed for 5.”

• Rooms were nice but could have been better.

“The hotel, room, and staff were all up to expectation. Check in and out was quick and the front desk staff was friendly and polite. The room was clean and the bathroom was stocked for my one night stay.”

  I worked late and still had parking at night.
• On Saturday at 415 pm my room had not been cleaned yet. I complained to manager on duty about it.

• Not much of a party area for younger crowd looking to go out dancing.

• Excellent location.
• Older hotel.

“The only complaint at all about this property is the fact that it is somewhat older. The staff is all very friendly and accommodating. The rooms and public areas were all immaculate. The rooms are a little bit smaller than other 4-star hotels but are very nicely decorated and furnished. The beds are comfortable as well. The pool area is quite large and the pool is heated.”

• The beds! The beds! Staff were wonderful. Close to lots of shopping.
• Air conditioner was noisy.

“Stayed in this hotel with my 12 year old. He loved the breakfast buffet. We both thought the television was dated - which was only an issue because the beds were so comfortable that neither one of us wanted to get moving in the mornings!”

• The aesthetics of the halls and common area were great.
• Room was nice but TV was old and overall set up was not 4 stars.

“This is a wonderful hotel for business travelers and groups. The staff and food was very nice and overall a pleasant and convenient location. The beds were extremely comfortable and the room well kept. Surprisingly no flat screen TV and sketchy reception but you can't have perfect all the time.”

• Afternoon mimosa and fresh baked cookies.
• The room AC was loud and the radiator under the window type. Hotel smelled musty/moldy.

“The pool area with a mini waterfall was wonderful and relaxing. Centrally located in the heart of Boca, adjacent to the Town Center Mall (the best shopping) and excellent area dining options within miles of the hotel. Complimentary coffee/tea service every morning and fresh baked cookies and ice tea and mimosa were available each evening. Great place would stay there again. The bathrooms and the room A/C were dated.”

• I was charged for wet bar in error that caused my bank account to go in turmoil including several overdraft charges.

• The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating.
• The television did not work properly and there was a problem with the pool.

“The hotel staff is very friendly. The hotel grounds are beautiful. The hotel location is easily accessible to a lot of attractions. No horseback riding or water skiing is located at this hotel. Although, there is a sign shown that states you will need to use your key to gain entrance into the hotel after midnight, the door was never locked.”

• I liked that they came immediately to check the room for the bed bugs.
• There was no attempt to compensate me in any way for the exposure to the bed bug infestation that I did not discover until just before check out.

“Check for bed bugs in the room before even taking yourself and belongings into the room. It does look nice from the outside but again the maid service knocks first then immediately tries to walk in the room before summoning in. I have usually stayed in 3 star hotels and they have been just as nice as this 4 star. Further, I would think the service would distinguish this 4 star hotel over other 3 star lodgings, but definitely not in this case. Considering that I also work in retail, the customer comes first and if the experience is not positive they will not return, and they will tell others, and your business will be affected. I get the feeling that the Renaissance arrogantly does not understand this truism. I will not return there and I will be telling everyone I can about my experience.”

• Nice service, good location, contemporary/modern rooms.
• Jacuzzi did not work first day, however remedied the next day. As a note, concierge level service was closed on weekend.

• The staff was incredible and the restaurant was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever stayed in.
• The drive to the beach was a little out of the way.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. We had a great stay! The poolside bar was especially great and we were delighted to have a ground-level room that had a patio which backed up to the pool area-very convenient!”

“Standard hotel nothing more than a Hojo or Holiday Inn. Staff did not go out off their way to help or offer help. Nothing was done to make you feel like a valued guest. Simply put; nothing special.”
