  • Nice newer facility.
  • After paying the self parking fee I couldn't get out of the garage the next morning. Had to park, go back in, get a card to leave.

  • From the moment we arrived the staff was great. The location is walking distance from restaurants, stores and the water taxi.
  • The only thing we did not like was that they did not have a hot tub. It was a sauna so no jets or hot water.

“We arrived around 8 PM from the North Coast we were tired and hungry. The lady at the front desk was so nice she gave us lots of information on things to do in the area. Next to the elevator was a glass jar filled with oranges and water to drink. That was so refreshing, our room was very nice including a large flat screen TV. The king size bed was very comfy with lots of pillows. Bathroom was a little on the small side.”

“We arrived very late at the hotel and were tired from traveling. It was a pleasant surprise to be greeted with such enthusiasm & checked in quickly. We were very pleased with our accommodations and definitely feel we got a great value for the price. My only complaint is that on the first morning, we went downstairs to eat breakfast in the hotel bistro. When we were done with our meal & received the ticket, I nearly fell out of my chair! Our breakfast cost more than any of our other meals, including the one at the local Mai Kai restaurant. Overall, we were completely satisfied with things!”

  • Hot tub jets were not forceful at all.

  • Extra charges for parking and internet.

“The hotel is nice, but valet parking and a doorman does not mean 4 star service. The hotel charged extra for everything, parking, internet, computers in the business office, coffee, et-cetera. Rooms do not have a fridge, and the bathroom fixtures do not match, (mix of gold and chrome). The beds and linens are comfortable, but overall this is not a 4 star resort and is not suitable for a stay longer than a short weekend.”

  • It was close to the cruise port.
  • It took a long time for staff to deliver requested bed (2 hours).

“We were pleased with our stay. It is located very close to the cruise port and has restaurants in the hotel and within walking distance. There are also stores within walking distance to pick up last minute items for a cruise. The room was clean, attractive and comfortable.”

“I love this hotel. It is close to FLL (airport) and so close to the cruise ship dock that we could see our ship out of our window. Also, a few good eating places within a block or two. You can also get a ride to the cruise ship with Felix for $6.00 per person. We will use it again for our next cruise out of Ft. Lauderdale.”

“This hotel was within walking distance to several stores, shops, port & airport. It was nice, clean and comfortable. The Bellman, I am sorry I can't remember his name, was very helpful with all our questions and he had great recommendations. I would definately stay here again and recommend it.”

  • The delicious cookies are a perfect touch.
  • The rooms need color changes and matching furniture.

“My husband and I stayed here for an overnight getaway, and it was perfect. The cookies are delicious, the pool and hot tub were nice, the poolside lounges are very comfortable as is the chaise lounge in the room, and the wings from room service are excellent. The later checkout is nice, too.”

  • It smelled great. Every time you walked in the door it smelled like fresh orange cookies.
  • The location, while central, was not particularly close to the beach or other points of interest.

“The hotel was very nice and the staff was friendly and professional. Extremely clean and pleasant. The room was well equipped and the beds quite comfortable. The only complaint is that the hotel while centrally located, was over a mile from the beaches and all other points of interest. Make sure you have transportation.”

  • The renovated rooms are top notch.
  • Really, there was nothing negative throughout the stay.

“An extremely consistent and comfortable hotel - the accommodations were very comfortable. The hotel is undergoing a renovation and I was given a renovated room - I'm glad to report that they completely renovated the bathrooms as well - many hotels refurbish the bedroom and then ignore the bathroom during renovations. But this hotel renovation is going to be top notch.”

  • This hotel was exceptionally clean!
  • Not really within walking distance of the beach.

“An exceptionally clean hotel with a delicious restaurant, upscale outdoor pool (with cabanas) and a nicely appointed hotel bar. Rooms were adequately appointed with up-to-date furnishings. The beds were comfortable, with a variety of types of pillows to choose from. There were no soda machines on each floor (only in the lobby). Parking was extremely expensive ($20 to valet; $17 to self-park). The hotel was within walking distance of several restaurants and a bakery, and the hotel restaurant offered decent food. The hotel was not within walking distance of the beach, as described (a mile away and you had to walk over a huge causeway bridge) and parking was limited. This was also not within comfortable walking distance of Las Ollas Blvd, which was several large blocks away.”

  • You had to use your key for the parking garage, which didn't always work.

“We arrived checked in Sunday afternoon, Saturday around 12:00 the power in the hotel shut off and was off for 5 hours. This was planned, and no one ever told us anything about this we were stuck with no TV or computer. We were there to visit a sick relative, and we needed to just hang out for a bit, we could have found another place to stay if we knew this.”

  • Elevators not enough to accommodate everyone on check-out with their luggage.

“One of the nicer hotels in the area, it is located in. Very clean, stores and eating areas within 5 minute walk, or less. Rooms were average, but very clean. Beds very comfortable. Fruit, water, tea,and coffee always offered in hotel lobby, staff very helpful. Hotel does have a restaurant which has a wonderful breakfast buffet offered. The only downside is that there are not enough elevators, which makes it almost impossible to catch an elevator at checkout time. I would definitely stay again and will recommend it to others. If you are staying overnight before or after a cruise, this is the place to go!”

  • The staff was friendly & helpful. My room was clean, and contained everything I needed. The bed was also very comfortable and had nice linens.
  • The alarm clock needs replacing. It worked, but the plastic facing was close to dropping off.

“Extremely clean, well maintained. Staff was friendly, and the food served during the seminars I attended was very good. I also appreciated a computer and printer in the lobby dedicated to printing boarding passes. Very convenient!”

  • I was very disappointed.
  • The hotel did not meet the expectations of a 4 star hotel.

“This hotel should not be rated a 4-star hotel. The room was "okay" at best. We were greeted by a cigarette smoke scent in the air and were charged $15 just to park the car. A hotel should not receive a 4 -star rating simply because it charges for parking.”

  • Convenient location.
  • Air conditioner hardly worked. Coffee maker was old and barely let the water thru. No newspaper delivery in front of room. No real coffee cups.

“Simply put: This is not worth 4 stars. At the most 3 stars! Internet connection had to be purchased separately and was very poor. In a 4 star hotel you expect the air conditioner to work full blast and not leave you with a feeling of being suffocated. Coffee maker was old and worked poorly and there were no real cups, just plastic.”

  • The staff was very attentive.
  • The hotel web site is misleading. It shows modern furnishings and our hotel, while nice, was far from that.

“This hotel provides good customer service which is a sticky issue with me. I'm much more interested in the service which I reward for than a bunch of show and fluff. Everyone on staff was more than helpful and showed a desire to go the extra if asked for anything. The hotel has a 3pm check in which we were somewhat put off by but the staff was very accommodating and we ended up in our room around 1:30. Until that time we were allowed to lounge around a well-maintained pool and hot tub and made to feel like we had been at the hotel for weeks. The rooms and facilities, while clean and very nice, are dated and lacking the edge I was expecting. I would stay there again if ever in the area but I can't say that I would offer a top 4-star rating to this hotel. Close but no trophy.”

  • Bathroom had mold, terrible check in, poorly trained staff.

“Also, when my fiance chose to self park the valet asked me what was wrong with our car and why we didn't let him park it for us. We saved $5 self parking and we didn't want someone in our car. It's that simple. I could discuss the mold in the bathroom, the repeated knocks on our door from housekeeping (while we had the do not disturb sign on). Not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination.”

  • Hot tub was cold. Pool area was not attended. Towels left and not cleaned up.

“When checking into the hotel, we were told there were no more king size beds left, we were offered an accessible room. When I asked what the difference was in the rooms I was told that there were handles in the bathtub. We agreed to take it. When we got into the room after unpacking without looking at the bathroom we found out that there was no counter space at all in the bathroom. We had no place to put our personal items. when I called to complained I was told by a supervisor that she was sorry and was told that she would find out who rented the room to us and would talk to the employee that rented the room to us, but never offered to give us something to put our things on. They wanted to move us to a room with 2 full beds. We didn't have the time to do this.”
