• Newer hotel in and older hotel area
• parking rates very high

“Nice hotel in South beach where the room we where given was a room that was in the old part of the hotel but was renovated to new. The only thing was there was no balcony, but this hotel was still good value.”

• Location was a bit remote.

“A lovely but brief stay at a Jewel on South Beach. The rooms and staff are impeccable, with the location just a bit off the beaten path. A great value and venue.”

• I loved the beds. They were ultra comfortable. The room and bathroom were lovely and we loved the little terrace with a view of the ocean.
• The towels did not smell fresh. I hated the valet parking. It cost from $21 to $23 per day plus tip. I would have rather had self=parking.

“The hotel is located in a quiet area away from the loud noises of clubs and cars of south beach and it's right on the ocean. The lobby is small, but tasteful and there is a restaurant in the hotel. We received a newspaper every day and the Wall St. Journal was available in the lobby. It was a mistake to rent a car as it is not needn't in south beach and the parking at the hotel ran from 21 to 23 dollars per day plus tax and then there was the tipping of the valet drivers. The room and bathroom were first rate (very clean and nicely decorated). The beds were extremely comfortable. The towels did not smell fresh. Good choice.”

• High fee for parking

“Quiet but great location: on beach, near excellent restaurants and walking distance from the South Beach hustle and bustle. Lovely brunch and simple but great pool & Jacuzzi.”

• The staff was super friendly. I really appreciated the little touches like cookies, apples and water given in the room.
• Nothing.

• This hotel has superb helpful and friendly service.
• Room was nice and clean, but not very large.

“I would highly recommend this hotel if you want to enjoy South Beach in a quiet way as well if you want to enjoy the night life. We brought our small children and were highly surprised how perfect this hotel was for kids and adults. Lots for children to do and see and parents can still enjoy the closeness of restaurants and nightlife.”

“This hotel is not right in the center of South Beach's Ocean Drive action but it is within walking distance. The location is excellent if you want to be where it is a little quieter.”

“The hotel was not 4 star quality. We have stayed at another 4 star hotel on South Beach and the quality of the grounds and service do not compare. The rooms are smaller than you would expect. We also had to pay an additional $50 a night for an ocean front room.”

“The Marriott South Beach was an excellent hotel. Perfect location on the beach with walking distance to famous Joe's Stone Crab on one side and all the shops and restaurants famous to South Beach and the Art Decor section on the other side. The hotel was very clean and modern with helpful staff and a room with a beautiful view!”
