“This hotel was okay for the price. The staff was extremely helpful but very understaffed. Pool was clean but room air conditioning/heating unit was visibly moldy and smelled. Free shuttle bus was very convenient. Snack counter was basically empty except in the morning when they probably had time to stock it.” May 7, 2009 by
Adrienne from Englewood,FL
“Entry and parking were close and check in was fast and pleasant. The lobby had been redone in the manner of a boutique hotel with lounging, eating and check-in all combined to give the traveler a welcome home feeling. There was a 24 hour snack station at the check out and a breakfast room nearby. Also in the lobby was an internet/business room with WiFi and computers to use. The room was spacious, with a kitchenette, dining/office table and a separate sofa bed sectional. The decor was contemporary, comfortable and clean.” Apr 27, 2009 by
Stanley from Temecula,CA
“Great location for our cruise ship. Good location for a good place to eat. Very nice rooms with a great television.” Apr 17, 2009 by

“We stayed one night before our cruise. Our room was spacious & clean. The large flat screen TV was great! We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. There was also free internet access. It was nice to have the free shuttle service also.” Mar 27, 2009 by

“Great look and very clean. Stayed in a suite with a total of six in our group and had plenty of room even with our luggage. Great LCD TV in the room also.” Dec 9, 2008 by

“All of the staff was very nice and easy to deal with. The breakfast was good. The room was better than I expected (50" TV). All in all a very good experience.” Sep 2, 2008 by

“Would definitely stay there again. Very nice, with good access to restaurants.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Ed from Miami, FL
“This hotel could be nice when they are complete. There is nothing right now in the area. It is in a business area not a vacation area.” Jan 6, 2006 by
Robin from St. Paul, MN
“This was an Tokay hotel for a pare cruise stay. The rooms were dark and smelly.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Dec 16, 2005 by

“This hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants. Fine for a one night stay before a cruise. Free shuttles from airport and to cruise pier, very good. Free breakfast was okay.” Dec 12, 2005 by
David from Cottam Ontario, CA
“We stayed here a year ago and found that it seems to be deteriorating. Our room was not very clean, paint was peeling from the walls in the bathroom, the ceiling had black spots that looked moldy and they had taped a bag over the smoke detector. Apparently they are having on going issues with the fire alarm system because as stated before they had bags covering them and the fire alarm kept starting and stopping in the middle of the night. Not a great stay.” Nov 28, 2005 by
Steve from Powhatan, VA
“Beautiful Hotel rooms, Furnished Nicely. To get to my room I had to pass the hotel kitchen and mountains of dirty dishes, on carts pushed to one side of the hallway. Notice, this Hotel is very difficult to find, it is off 17th Street back behind several buildings, there is no Street sign indicating '10th'.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Robert from Bay Point, CA
“The hotel was excellent, however the people manning the front desk need a little bit more people skills.” Nov 27, 2005 by
Susan from West Palm Beach, FL
“Good breakfast, served later then expected.” Oct 30, 2005 by

“We were very pleased with this hotel for a one night precruise stay. Arrived at the FLL airport Friday night about 7:30 pm, retrieved bags, called hotel from a bank of courtesy phones near the baggage claim area. Courtesy van was there in about 15 minutes. Note that the courtesy van pick up area is a short walk up the sidewalk once you come out of the terminal building. It was very hot and muggy that night and we walked the whole way outside from the Southwest Airlines gate, it would be more comfortable to walk through the airport building before going outside. Van driver was courteous and it was about a 5-10 minute drive to hotel. Our room was on the first floor and it was very quiet and comfortable. We found the complimentary breakfast items to be very good. On Saturday morning, a different driver took us and several other folks to the cruise port. He had also brought some other people back to the hotel from the cruise port and informed us that it was still too busy with departing cruise passengers. When he took us to the cruise port, we were very close to the front of the line for embarking passengers, so the driver was definitely familiar with the cruise terminal area. We would definitely choose this hotel again.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.Oct 17, 2005 by

“At first I was greatly under whelmed by the quality of the accommodations. We asked to be given another room because of the loud persistent noise in the first one we were given. The second room was better as far as noise went. And the front desk staff were very amenable when we asked for a different room. Both rooms badly needed refurbishment. However, everything in the rooms worked, the cleaning was ok, mold on underside of soap dish and we appreciated the pretty good included breakfast, the in-room refrigerator and microwave and daily newspaper. So we ended up liking the place.” Oct 6, 2005 by
Debbie from Midwest City, OK
“The price & location of this hotel works well for us. The shuttle service is a big plus as well as no parking fees when we are driving. However, we had to change rooms the second day because the bed was so bad, we couldn't sleep. The second room was better, but the hotel needs to replace many of the broken, lumpy mattresses. The front desk was helpful, but never felt the friendliness that we have seen on previous trips. No one working there ever smiled. Breakfast is adequate, but our first morning, was out of sausage, eggs, juice, waffles, yogurt, fruit, coffee, and bread for toast. Only the coffee was refilled in the 30 minutes we were there. Other days it was better but still not as it should have been.” Oct 3, 2005 by
Heather from Maryland Heights, MO
“The hotel was extremely welcoming, easy to find and very comfortable.” Oct 1, 2005 by

“The Amerisuites in Fort Lauderdale is a very nice hotel for only 2.5 stars. The lobby was clean and modern. The rooms were very nice, with a fridge, microwave, dining table, desk, tv, and chair with ottoman. They have a complimentary breakfast buffet and free shuttle service to/from the airport and the port.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 11, 2005 by

“For the price, this was a good buy. Two double beds and a sofa bed, plus Internet access made it a great fit before our cruise. This includes transportation to/from the airport and cruise port.” Jul 30, 2005 by
Hank from Tulsa, OK
“classy mood, classy decor.Right next to port everglades and close to FT Lauderdale Beach.Largest most comfortable surprise of our trip, with space to relax and stay out of each others way. This is the place I could have stayed for a week if this was our destination. For sailing out of Port Everglades,Amerisuites is the Bomb! Close to interstate and a fancy Mall with a Neiman and a Saks(10 minutes N.E.) Drive just a quarter mile east and you are in a beautiful area of Ft. Lauderdale crossing the Intercoastal Waterway onto the beach area.Clean, expensive area, within 7 minutes of some awesome beach! This hotel is a nice surprise that merits more than one night. It also sits right behind an Outback Steakhouse. Four star experience for me!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 26, 2005 by

“Staff was excellent and very helpful when explaining the area for us. The hotel was very clean and I enjoyed my stay.” Jul 22, 2005 by

“Pros: compimentary breakfast buffet, friendly staff Cons: musty odors, poor air conditioning, dingy atmosphere, toothpaste residue on the faucetThis was my second visit to the Amerisuites in FLL. Originally, I thought it sufficient for a one night stay. After this past visit, I probably would be disappointed if I got this facility again as a 2*” Jul 6, 2005 by
Steven from Gresham, OR
“We stayed one night and then went on a cruise the next morning. They allowed us to leave our rental car in their parking lot and picked us up from the port everglades area at 10 pm even though we were not staying there that evening. They went over and beyond the call of duty (service). We would gladly recommend their hotel to anyone.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 2, 2005 by

“For a one night pre-cruise stay, and for the price I got this facility was adequate and meet my needs.I would stay here again for an over-nighter, but would not plan a vacation here.Unfortunatley, I didn't get a chance to use the pool. Our room overlooked a storage facility, so scenery wasn't a plus. Add that to the "dark" decor, I would say the Fort Luaderdale Amerisuites deserves the 2* rating.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 7, 2005 by

“Very nice place to stay. Nicely equipped suite, great common spaces. Very nice location and high value for the area. I would recommend to others and would be likely to stay there again.” May 31, 2005 by
Catherine from Plainfield, IL
“After a long day of flight delays and traveling, the hotel staff was not very helpful when we called asking for directions and when we arrived, the service was very cold. The room was a good size, it was close to the beach, and the breakfast was great.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 27, 2005 by

“Great place to stay for pre-cruise stay. Breakfast and shuttle to port make this a good choice.” May 24, 2005 by

“Good location for cruise passengers going to Port Everglades. Breakfast exceeded the normal continental buffets.” May 22, 2005 by
Maggie from West Des Moines, IA
“Besides the fact that it took over a half hour to check in at midnight, due to one guest checking in for a large party ahead of us and a slow front desk clerk, this hotel needed some major TLC. The bathtub had an ugly hole repair job, the toilet seat needed to be replaced, the faucet sprayed sideways. The furniture placement was awkward. They had moved the desk into the kitchen area just to accomodate internet wiring, so that area was very cramped and it felt weird. The tv was barely visible from the sofa, so we had to move the sofa to face it. The fridge also sat in the middle of the tiny kitchenette area, because it was too tall to fit under the counter, so that was very awkward. The lighting was too low, the bed was too small, wobbly and short -- we expected a queen or two fulls.Western, the kind where they buy up old hotels and convert them, aged and dumpy. Eve” May 20, 2005 by
Andrea from Raleigh, NC
“We enjoyed our stay at the AmeriSuites. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to see in Ft. Lauderdale. The suites were clean and very roomy; my only complaint was that the pillows/sheets smelled just a little musty. ” May 19, 2005 by
Ijeoma from Suitland, MD
“Hotel was situated well. It was near to restaurants, drug store, attractions.” May 19, 2005 by

“we had read mixed reviews about this hotel, so we did not have high expectations. however, we were pleasantly surprised; the rooms were clean, staff friendly; breakfast and shuttle a plus; overall good value for the money.” May 14, 2005 by
Bruce from Lantana, FL
“This hotel has all that one would need for a long stay. The rooms are suites, so there is plenty of space. I love having refrigerator in my room. If I would have known ahead of time, I would have brought my own VHS tape. My room had a VCR at my disposition. Overall I would recommend.” May 11, 2005 by
Raphael from Huntington Beach, CA
“This hotel is barely one step above a motel 6. I was not impressed. it is a 1 or 1 and a half star hotel-not 2 and a half as advertised.” May 10, 2005 by
James from Orange, CA
“Appears to be a refurbished suite hotel that is on its second round at a lower rate. There was no spa or Jacuzzi. The TV did not work very well, and the beds were saggy. The front desk staff were fairly helpful. The highlight of the trip was the van driver who dropped us off at our dinner location, and picked us up later.” Apr 17, 2005 by
Linda from Jenison, MI
“VERY happy with this hotel experience. Shuttle was fast and effecient, everyone was friendly, breakfast was great ......... couldn't possibly have asked for more for the great price that we paid. THANKS!! (We had a group of 26 people with 9 rooms, and no problems at all.)” Mar 8, 2005 by

“Probably the best deal so far since I started using for hotels in Fort Lauderdale. Spacious room, modern construction, and convenient appliances.” Nov 10, 2004 by
“The hotel was okay. I was disturbed by the ants in the kitchen area. I had to throw all of my food away. The bathtub was a little rusted, but all and all the stay was fine for the lenght of time I was there.” Sep 28, 2004 by
Rochelle S. from Marlton “Definitely only worth its 2-1/2 stars.”
