“This hotel was pretty much what I expected. This was a spur of the moment trip for me and the location was what I needed. Because I made last minute plans on a holiday weekend, my flight was very expensive so I chose inexpensive accomodations as I knew I was not going to spend much time at the hotel anyway.”

• Good location and basically attractive layout.
• Furnishings a little bad and not-so-clean, amenities fee and their attitude when asked about it.

“If your priorities are location go for it. Not really a pleasant environment because the inside and outside aren't kept as clean as they should be.”

• Bathroom was filthy, lighting was horrible.

“The first room was alright but the bathroom was filthy. Still had soap scum stains on the wall. The lighting was horrible. You couldn't read anything due to it. Travelling as a woman didn't like going to the back of the hotel and it was a concrete wall with doors. No windows at all. Had to travel on a Friday night to and the diner at the hotel had karaoke that night so loud that I left to eat elsewhere. Other than that the beds were comfortable.”

• The patio, in room safe and the restaurant.
• I was charged an amenity fee for each day. I did not know before I got there that I would be charged this fee.

“I was not happy about the amenity fee not being disclosed beforehand. I did not see that the amenities that they offer.”

“The hotel was definitely not 3 stars. I was scared and put the chair in front of the door. The hotel rooms smell too. The staff was very nice, but the room was very dark.”

• TV cable quality and selection.
• No ice machine. Demand for $3.00 "amenities fee" upon departure not appreciated.

“Got the job done but wouldn't recommend. Obvious attempt at renovation was undone by furnishings intended to look rustic. One room needed new carpet, nasty. One room needed attention to the tub, a bit unsightly.”

• Refrigerator in room, good cable TV picture and selection.
• 1 room nice carpet but tub needs help, 1 room nasty carpet.

“Obnoxious management extracted a $2.50 cash (plus tax) amenities fee upon departure, and did not want to allow credit card because card fee would be higher. On subsequent visit a few days later, no amenities fee was charged. Did not like being nickel and dimmed.”

• Close to where I need to be; bar staff friendly; safe area.
• Room layout, furniture.

“For a value stay, this hotel fits the bill, but be careful about staying in the back building. Rooms smell musky and of chlorine. Staff in bar and restaurant very friendly, food average but fairly priced. Rooms don't have enough outlets for cell phones, computers, etc. Desks are uncomfortable and not meant for working. Convenient to Delray surrounding areas.”

• I didn't have bed bug bites in the morning.
• It had automatic doors into the lobby.

“From the moment I opened the door, the hair on the back of my neck stood up. The odor, the carpet, the ancient worn blankets, the residue on the tub/shower walls all was gross. I looked for things crawling on the sheets, but didn't see any and didn't have any bites in the morning. Outside light shined around the closed door. They took a photocopy of my drivers license and cc and wouldn't return them upon check out. Just creepy. Definitely won't be there again! Take it off your list of options! Quick!”

• Location is acceptable.
• Filthy halls, it has the feel of a cheap hwy motel.

“About the Boca Raton Plaza, with its fancy name. The only thing that looks nice and elegant is the lobby; it has a nice marble fountain in the middle. I was very disappointed with the buildings and the room. The halls and elevators are dirty; most of the halls have water leaks from the a/c units from each room. The parking area is under construction, it is a mess, and there are not enough spaces. In the inside of the room there was humidity everywhere, the ceiling of the room was damaged with humidity. I would not stay again. I felt unsafe, and uncomfortable. It is like staying in one of those dirty highway motels. Stay away!”

• The pool and an awesome whirlpool. A ramp near my room to wheel the harp.
• Problems to find parking as some parking spaces were being resurfaced.

“An ok place; some small bothering problems (e.g., when the weather is windy, the ac shakes and makes a metallic noise all night), but the room was comfortable. The "restaurant" (actually, it's just a bar) doesn't look great (is there anything else to eat than sandwiches).”

• It was very convenient. However the quality of the room was less than anticipated. The service was very good. Overall a value less than anticipated.
• Esthetically, not up to standard. Bathroom needs updating.

• Comfortable, 1 mile from beach and close to many restaurants & stores.
• Could have better security.

“Was in fl for a family reunion and stayed here for 5 nights. Very comfortable and convenient location. Nice outdoor pool. Just 1 mile from a1a and Boca Raton beach. Reasonably priced with a good restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner + bars & entertainment on-site. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Hotel has 4 floors with 4 different room types. I'd recommend you stay on floors 3 or 4 for a better view and less noise since hotel is right on us 1. Would return in a flash! ”

“Good for low cost but will not stay again. Room was small and not very cleans, however the lobby and public areas were clean upon first walk through. I'm sure for some it is good enough but I will use another hotel next time I go to Boca.”

“This is the third email , I have sent regarding this "three star" hotel. This was NOT a three star hotel, room was old and musty (mold); bathroom was dirty; hotel was right up there with Motel 6.”

• I did like that it had a frig and microwave.
• The hotel never replenished enough towels, shampoo, lotion etc.

“The hotel should not be a 3 star hotel. It is more like a two star hotel. It was small but clean but with no frills. I had to ask for more shampoo and towels each day. The cups were never replenished unless asked. The price was not that good of a deal since right next store we found coupons for the same price.”

• Very unsanitary, can never find an employee, they are hiding in the back room, wont come out.

“I felt cheated, because I wanted to spend a little bit more for a 3 store hotel, but the conditions of this hotel are less than that of a 1 star hotel. the room was very smelly, the water was moldy, the cleaners always come in unannounced, very rude by the way, and the front desk always lacked assistance. if I knew, I was going to get this hotel, I would have much rather booked one of your 1 star hotel.”

• It's in Boca Raton, a nice area of south Florida.
• It's a roadside motel that advertises itself as something more.

“The hotel in itself is not a bad place. This hotel is a roadside motel that claims to be something more. The rooms are in average to below average condition, only moderately clean, with cheap furnishings and few amenities that would help a business traveler The rooms are exterior corridor on a busy road. A fancy car was parked out front for effect and the lobby looked nice, but the service was what you'd expect at a truck stop. The rooms are below average in every respect, though they look decent in the hotel websites pictures. If you come expecting a one or two star hotel - in other words, a reasonably safe place to sleep for a few hours - this will do. If you're looking for anything more, you'll be disappointed. Unfortunately, I'll have to try another area when searching for a three star hotel, because I don't want to take the chance on getting this hotel again.”

“I bid 2.5 and 3 star to get interior hallways or the doors are3 in a secure courtyard since I am a female traveling alone. I came out one morning to 5 police cars in the parking lot dealing with a disorderly drunks at 8am in the MORNING.”

• The hotel was clean and close to the beach.
• The young boy working the reception desk when I arrived was unhelpful with an attitude. The lobby was packed with his friends making comments.

“The hotel was going to upgrade me as a hospitality gesture, but when we went to our suite, the door was open and the room was a mess. Beer cans, cigarettes, and newspapers were scattered throughout the room. The television was still on and the bed was a mess. After being forced to settle in the cheapest room, it was too much of a hassle to check to see if another suite was open to move into. I will be sure to relay my experience on to as many others as possible.”

• Needs a major update.

“The hotel is situated in a great location off Federal Highway 1 in Boca. Star hotels have much cleaner rooms and nicer decor. This hotel is more of a Motel 6 setting than a Hyatt. It is comparable to a Comfort Inn and not really a hotel. Even though they have non-smoking rooms, the sheets smelled like cigarette smoke and the carpets definitely need a cleaning after years of wear and tear.”

• Location is near (2.0 miles) Mizner Park.
• Hotel front desk was not the least bit helpful. The young man did everything the opposite of Customer Service. The room smelled and was not changed.

• Typical window heat/ac system difficult to control. Musty smell

“The room in the outer building was fine. The pool area was very pleasant with a nice bar and a reggae do with steel drums all day Saturday - very nice music. Would stay here again. Did not eat in the restaurant but have heard from friends that it is very good.”
