• The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the hotel - bell service was great-very comfortable bed, was excited about the noon check out.
• The maid tapped on the door at 7:45 to ask when we were leaving check out is at noon.

“The hotel greeted us upon entering the hotel, we were very early for check in, but they were willing to accommodate us early, but informed us what rooms they had, when we decided to come back, they suggested some local tourist areas to go to, and a local movie theater. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable and quiet, very easy to find off the highway. Pool was on the roof top with an outside hot tub and a very up to date health club. I also enjoyed the ability to review my favorite shows that I had missed as they offer a "TV" type of channel recording. There is a wonderful little Italian restaurant across the street in the plaza, along with a movie theater.”

“I liked the hotel itself, but there was way too much noise on the floor I was on, maybe because I was located close to the ice machine. But I don't think I will want to stay at this hotel again because of that.”

• The front-desk staff upgraded our room per our request because we arrived late at night and asked.
• I liked everything.

“The staff was very friendly (multiple friendly faces welcomed us) even though we arrived past 9:30 pm. The parking garage was well-lit. Everything was clean. I couldn't have asked for much more.”

• Tile entryway into room deflected sound from hallway into room.

• No airport shuttle!

• Nice, clean and very big room, the hot tub was great too.
• Location, hard to find just a little corner store to buy soda/beer.

“very nice and upscale hotel. They just did a big remodel and it shows, staff were very pleasant and helpful. Even the new trainees). Pool area has a big hot tub and also a very nice pool. The restaurant a bit on the cheezy side with high prices. Best bet is across the street there is a Cineplex with some good eats!”

• Staff was friendly & helpful. Safe. Good size room.
• A little hard to find. Also was awaked at 3 am due to the room door not being sound proof.

“I would definitely stay at this hotel again. The room was a good size and staff was very friendly. I would not recommend the restaurant, but restaurants are close by. The hallways could have been cleaner, but the room itself was clean. The walls between the rooms seem to be sound proof; however, the door was not. I was awakened at 3 am by some people talking near the vending area by my room. The hotel was a little hard to find. You can see it from the Interstate & main road, but trying to find the correct access road was difficult.”

• Spacious room, very comfortable beds, well maintained facilities.
• Vanity/sink area too small, poor housekeeping services, poor pool/deck maintenance.

“Overall, very happy with our stay. The room was lovely with the exception of the cramped vanity area. We had some issues with housekeeping supplying the room adequately with towels and toilet paper, even upon request. Trash was not emptied regularly. There was an issue with a water leak, but the staff responded and fixed it promptly. The pool and patio area was pleasant, but the pavers around the pool were loose and there was a dangerous open crack in the plastic portion of pool entry steps. All things aside, it was an enjoyable stay and I would be glad to stay there again.”

“The property was absolutely beautiful! All of the employees . "Everyone" made it their goal to ensure our needs were completely met. They followed up to ensure our complete satisfaction with all services they provided. The food was delicious. The atmosphere at the bar was prompt, professional, warm and entertaining. My entire weekend was absolutely AMAZING. I would recommend this facility to everyone! This is the best Marriott property I have ever stayed on.”

• The staff at the Ft Lauderdale Marriott was exceptionally friendly and helpful.
• Although was hotel room was adequately clean the hallway had some small liter here and there and did not appear to be cleaned during my 24 hour stay.

“This hotel is a bit out of the way if you want to walk to a destination or see some close local sites. The hallways needed vacuuming but the room was clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.”

• Cleaning lady took our coffee cups and did not replace them o0r the coffee. Had to call housekeeping.

• The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated.
• After on the road all day, the shower fixtures were not working at all and we had to switch rooms in the middle of the night!

“While it was attractive, the bathroom tub had a dirty appearance. They must have known about the inoperative shower because it was that obvious.”

• The bedding was especially comfortable and clean.
• The bathroom was small.

“Excellent facility for leisure or business. Clean, comfortable, quiet and courteous. The appliances were in great shape and the curtains maintain a complete blackout in the room, allowing the option to sleep in for guests who do not want to get up early in the morning.”

• Customer service stunk! We had to continually verify if a room was ready, late checkout times, poor communication of staff.

“The facility was nice, but the staff was not responsive nor did they communicate information to others on the staff, i.e. housekeeping, night clerks, bell boys, etc. We had three rooms and they were to call us (in 15 30 minutes) when our last room was available. It took three hours and our party pestering the front desk for them to finally get the room ready at 7:30pm! Overall, the hotel was nice, but the customer service was not even close to my expectations.”

• It was clean, and they had a Christmas tree and played Christmas music.
• The hotel restraint was overpriced.

“We liked the hotel a lot. It was clean, the bed was very comfortable and the coffee in the room was very good. Although I do not get excited about aromatic shampoo and conditioner, they were a nice touch. My wife really appreciated the "orange ginger" aromatherapy shampoo. One downside was that the restaurant was way overpriced; I think that they wanted like $11.50 for some waffles.”

“I didn't stay there long. As I checked in, the desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Once I got in my room, I had a great view of the pool and was exceptionally clean. I loved the experience, but did not like the location. I was two counties away from my destination. Besides the location, I ranked it a 9. Excellent.”

• Comfortable bed!
• Lobby bar was not nice nor a good place to take business clients even for 1 drink.

“Easy access to the Ft. Lauderdale area. Very comfortable bed to sleep in. Friendly staff and as a woman who travels 3-4 times a month this hotel made me feel very safe. I was however disappointed that I had to leave the hotel to take my clients out for dinner and drinks. The lobby bar wasn't user friendly, and when I asked about the restaurant I was greeted with 'no comment". I took that as don't eat there. I like to stay in a hotel I can eat dinner in and have drinks with my clients. Over all this was a great place to sleep safe!”

• Walls were paper thin. You could hear every noise from the hall in your room.

“This property is very disappointing for a Marriott. While the rooms had undergone a recent renovation, nothing was done to help with the noise issue. We stayed from a Friday Tuesday and the first two nights the hotel was oversold with pre cruisers and teenagers for a local high school event. The doors don't close they slam and everyone on our hall complained about it. Even the front desk staff said the regularly get complaints about the hallway noise inside the guest rooms. Hotel staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet was good and the waitresses all very friendly. We ate appetizers later at night for a snack and the night staff was also very friendly and fast. The pool looked nice (it was too cool and windy to use it). plenty of free parking both outside and in an attached garage. Bed was comfortable and room was kept clean even though we got dirty towels a couple of times.”

• The bedding and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
• There was a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower curtain and the toilet paper holder was broken off the wall and the tp was on the back of the toil.

• The location could not have been beat! For the price, this hotel was a slam dunk!
• The "renovations" made it look better, but you can tell this is not a luxury hotel.

“Our room was very clean and very nice, but you can tell they're trying to give it an upscale feel and look without fully committing to it. The paint job was unimpressive all over the hotel. Basically, having stayed in very nice hotels, this is a cheap hotel that is trying to upgrade. And the effort is, for the most part, paying off. Our one night there was very pleasant and comfortable.”

• Had to keep calling to ask for things in our room. Coffee, shampoo, towels. etc.

“The hotel was very nice. I have worked for the Marriott Corp., so I know what they expect. We asked if it was noisy spot where our room was (outside the elevator) and they said no. Wrong, a very noisy hallway (4th floor, pool level). We had to ask for extra towels, shampoo, coffee and other essentials. It was I and my mother and they only provided for one person, we were booked as a double. When we called to ask for anything, the staffs came right away and were very good about helping us! Otherwise, everything was perfect!”
