• The staff, room, pool, and workout room.
• The gift shop was a bit pricey.

“Excellent hotel. I would recommend this hotel if you will be staying in the area. Everything is really nice, such as the rooms, pool, hot tub, workout room, and the staff. The location is a little out of the way, but not by much. 10-15 away from the beach, but yet close to I95 interstate. The only problem was the gift shop was a little pricey. Free internet use was a plus though! I'd definitely stay here again! Hope this helps you.”

• Very relax atmosphere. Business oriented hotel but kind friendly at the same time. Second stay and would stay again.

“It is just very relaxing, clean, very easy to get around to 95 on to fort Lauderdale, beds are good, down comforters are so warm. Gym its the best. Pool not so good, but nice new pool chairs to get a little sun if you wanted to.”

• Staff other than front desk and our experience with the pool/hot tub.

“While in Fort Lauderdale, the area was hit by an arm of Hurricane Gustav. One night when the weather was poor, we decided to try the rooftop pool and hot tub. When we got there at 10pm, the hot tub was full of a very loud and overpowering group. Turns out that it was the hotel staff! Some had just gotten off their shifts and others were about to begin work. We watched a staff member take 3 or 4 shots of liquor and put on his uniform to begin his shift. We waited until the day management was in place before notifying the hotel. They acknowledged that their staff does use the facilities before and after their work shift and advised that we should just call security the next time it happens and they would just be escorted from the area. We did not bother trying to use the pool/hot tub facility afterwards but think it's quite unprofessional to allow staff to overpower amenities that paying guests should be able to use without having to call hotel security!”

• Comfortable bed and quiet surroundings.
• 11th floor - constant banging of the fire doors, which were closed (magnets were not holding).

“Hotel has a very convenient parking garage, with free parking, which means never having to get wet in the rain. Close distance to a movie theater, and some restaurants, including a great one in the Moonlight Diner.”

• Great room size, plenty of room to walk and chill. Very comfortable bed. Nice decor.

“Great room for a hotel room, we usually stay in suites for size etc. This was a very large hotel room, very clean, comfortable and decorated nicely. I would definitely stay here again. If they tossed in a mini fridge and micro we would have loved it all the more.”

• Close to freeways, central location.
• Maid service very inconsistent. Ice machines on several floors.

“Good value for the money. Not someplace I would choose for a romantic getaway. Beautiful lobby. Nice gym, free parking. Free internet, ok rooms. Great business, friendly hotel.”

• Elevator didn't work properly. Hotel is getting old and needs some attention.

“This met our needs, but it was too far from the ocean. Staff wasn't accommodating when the fire alarm went off in the room next door for over and hour. Easy to find from I-95. Free parking”

• The staff was attentive whenever I needed them. For example, the operator answer the phone timely and politely.
• How it was situated back from the main street.

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The toiletries it provided was very nice with a lingering scent. The linens were clean and fresh smelling. The pillows were amble and firm just the way I like my pillows.”

• Shower not hot enough could not print out flight boarding pass.

“The hotel was nice. The shower never got hot which I hate. They had a computer set-up specifically to print out flight boarding passes it would not print out my correctly. Also, this is the 3rd time this year that I have stayed and the self checkout on the TV did not work. Why offer it if it does not work!”

• Middle of where I needed to be. Friendly staff.
• Dirty water from maid bucket on balcony, damp rooms.

“I stayed 5 night at this hotel on a business trip to the area. If you are a business traveler, stay here, it's in the middle of the Ft Lauderdale corporate center. The first room I stayed in was damp. Even the bed sheets were damp. The rest of the week I stayed in a king room with a balcony. I was thrilled to have a good view of the area, until I discovered that the water I was standing in was dirty water run-off from the maid room next door.”

• The rooms were spacious and eye catching.
• The balcony was too small.

“The hotel lobby was large and spacious. This could also be said of the rooms as well. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The rooms were bright and seem to be recently remodeled with new paint and marble title. There was large plasma HD TV in the lobby, a 24 hour fitness center and the rooms were equipped with wireless internet service.”

“Overall it was a great hotel and suited my travel purpose very well. If I was traveling for vacation I would have preferred more of a resort hotel, but for business travel it was perfect and I would stay there again!”

• The staff was friendly.
• Location is not as close to beach. There is no sauna.

“It is far from the beach. Also there was a dry sauna and there is not, the hot tub had no water in it. For the first 2 days we were there the floors in the hallways weren't vacuumed.”

• The room was clean, comfortable and the staff was great.
• The pool was dated and small.

“The hotel was a great weekend get-a-way for my husband and me. There happened to be an S & M, latex, dominatrix, anything-goes convention at the hotel, so the sights were quite interesting. There was a woman dressed in leather and had her partner on a leash as he walked on all fours. At the bar, she sipped her drink while he lapped his from a bowl on the floor. There were two girls tied to each other, lots of black leather and whips, piercing in places I didn't know could be pierced. Some of the men had shorts on that couldn't be more than 4 inches and tight as could be. Although my husband and I laughed at this freak show. I don't think it would have been funny if I had children with me.”

• The staff was very friendly for the managers to the housekeepers. The hotel over all was very clean.
• The hallways were pretty dark and the vending machines were poorly stocked.

• Beds so comfortable, staff very friendly, my kids and friends were able to enjoy facilities until late hours & felt very safe I was great.
• The rug had a big stain

“The work out room is open 24hrs so is the pool we used it there were towels there warm and fresh all night. The beds and pillows were so comfortable and my room had a balcony with a view of the city how cool is that.”

• Female front desk clerk that works nights. Rude, unfriendly, non-cooperative service.

“My experience was disappointing. When I arrived, we had to go searching for a bellhop to help with our bags. The check in clerk upon discovering that I was a Marriott Rewards Member was all smiles and upgraded us to a concierge suite, so that made me happy, but I don't think it's fair for me to have to belong to some exclusive club to get the same enjoyment and clean rooms as other guests. Not the first time this has happened with Fort Lauderdale hotels, for example, my last visit at the Bahia Mar hotel completely grossed me out. The room I was given was absolutely filthy, smelly, and ratty, and the restaurant service at breakfast was so bad, I got up and walked out after being ignored for over 45 minutes after being seated, something I've never done before. The Marriott's restaurant we discovered after arriving was closing for renovations, so we were herded into a meeting room for breakfast. The breakfast buffet selection was very limited.”

• The room - big flat screen TV.
• No microwave or a common room with a microwave.

“Great location - ample parking, clean surroundings, great entertainment system- big flat screen TV, movies and games, free WiFi. Upgraded system compared to there places. Comfy bed - had a great rest. Awesome window view - I could see the cities in the background.”

• This hotel is superb. Comfortable beds, super clean, friendly staff.
• I loved everything.

“This hotel passed my expectations. Each bed had more than 5 pillows that were super comfortable. The down comforter was superb. The hotel was super clean, they have a great gift shop with excellent prices. The staff was so friendly that made my family and I feel like home. It has a complete gym open 24 hours as well as the Jacuzzi and the pool.”

• Hotel lobby was beautiful and concierge was very helpful.
• Pop machine on floors were either out of beverages or would not take bills.

“Hotel lobby was beautiful. Rooms were very nice. Some rooms had missing plaster from walls, but over all nice. Bell hops watched as we took a luggage cart to our 3 rooms to retrieve luggage, and never offered to assist. Not a big problem just a nice thought to assist. Concierge was very helpful when our group needed to order food and have a delivery to our room. Desk clerks were great when we walked in with a large group, and got us checked in very quickly.”

• The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the hotel - bell service was great-very comfortable bed, was excited about the noon check out.
• The maid tapped on the door at 7:45 to ask when we were leaving check out is at noon.

“The hotel greeted us upon entering the hotel, we were very early for check in, but they were willing to accommodate us early, but informed us what rooms they had, when we decided to come back, they suggested some local tourist areas to go to, and a local movie theater. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable and quiet, very easy to find off the highway. Pool was on the roof top with an outside hot tub and a very up to date health club. I also enjoyed the ability to review my favorite shows that I had missed as they offer a "TV" type of channel recording. There is a wonderful little Italian restaurant across the street in the plaza, along with a movie theater.”

“I liked the hotel itself, but there was way too much noise on the floor I was on, maybe because I was located close to the ice machine. But I don't think I will want to stay at this hotel again because of that.”

• The front-desk staff upgraded our room per our request because we arrived late at night and asked.
• I liked everything.

“The staff was very friendly (multiple friendly faces welcomed us) even though we arrived past 9:30 pm. The parking garage was well-lit. Everything was clean. I couldn't have asked for much more.”
