“Will not stay there again.” Aug 14, 2008 by
Yen from San Jose, CA
“We came in breakfast room, the door was already kept opened, she ask us to show the room key, then she say something about the door, we return to the door to find out what wrong, but we couldn't find what she need. At last we understood that she ordered us to close the door for her, we apologized that we couldn't understand because her pronunciation was not corrected.” Jun 3, 2008 by
Madeleine from Eau Claire, WI
“Very nice.” May 19, 2008 by
Ryan from Houston, TX
“This was a very nice hotel. It was much nicer than I expected. I would stay there again and I would also recommend it to a friend. I lived in Hollywood most of my life so I know the area very well. The surrounding areas are not the best areas. However, they do have a security guard in the parking lot, and you do need a room key to enter the building from any of the side entrances.” May 14, 2008 by
Lilian from Apopka, FL
“The hotel was located in the old part of Hollywood. Rooms opened out on to the swimming pool and decks with bougainvillea plants and umbrella tables/chairs. Staff were helpful and pleasant. There was a good continental breakfast with plenty of choices. An evening bar and restaurant was not available.” Mar 9, 2007 by
Rich from Pittsburgh, PA
“I just returned from a very nice hotel. I did not smell any mold. The rooms were large. Separate bath area from sink area. Free computer in lobby to check email! Be sure to visit coyotes bar, show room key and get 2nd drink free. Owner made sure everyone had fun! Good breakfast (free) with one hot item. Staff very friend and helpful. Although 2 miles from Hollywood beach, convenient bus service from young circle except on Sundays. Much hustle in the blocks around hotel. In 5 days no one asked me for money on the street. Very safe well lit area.” Oct 8, 2005 by
Ray B. from Redding, CA
“The first room that they gave me I walked in and the stench of mold was prevalent. When the iron did not work that was enough for me to request another room which they provided. The new room was acceptable. The hotel needs updating. I went to use the fitness room and I noticed the ceiling was falling apart and the air conditioning did not work. Half the day the power was out and the elevator did not work.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.Oct 8, 2005 by

“The fitness center was not listed on the room amenities sheet. I didn't find out about it until 2 days into my stay and then the machine was so old it hardly functioned. Plus I don't like to pay extra for parking. It should be included with the stay.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 28, 2005 by
Rose from Hollywood, FL “The hotel was centrally located with plenty of restaurants and local entertainment.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Sep 15, 2005 by

“The hotel location is very convenient, but the attitude of some staff members lower deeply my expectations. I stayed in the hotel because I did not have another choice. I was traveling with 28 other people, and the checking experience was embarrassing.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 8, 2005 by
Yvonne from Petersburg, IL “The wait to check in was approx 45 min. the room was filthy but since it was 11pm I did not know where else to go.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Aug 7, 2005 by

“This Ramada is apparently privately owned which is why it is not up to the same standards of the others I have stayed in. Customer service was below standard, elevator smelled of strong urine, there was no ice available on any of the floors. Paid parking was not noted on hotel website, so was unaware I had to pay to park. Overall service/hospitality was poor.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 28, 2005 by

“The hotel is located in the heart of the Hollywood shopping and dining district. Easy access to the airport, the beach, and shops and dining. Pleasant room, good price, friendly service.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jun 15, 2005 by

“Nice personnel, great location downtown Hollywood, very cheap parking garage- these are the advantages! But at the same time you can notice- that the hotel hasnt been renovated in a long time.. smelled very old and even dirty.. The room we checked in wasnt clean, since it had hair in the bathroom floor and toilet bowl, a dirty, already used towel was forgotten by somebody on the curtain rail in the bathroom, we even found a hair on the tea cup- so we were really disgusted to use it..But the the whole atmosphere of Florida helped us a lot not to be focused on those things and just enjoy our stay..However I think there are some things to be renovated and cleaned, freshened up!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.May 29, 2005 by

“Great location. Not great rooms if you require privacy - better designed curtains could help here. Rooms could have been cleaned better. Bed linens need to be changed daily. Paying for parking did not feel right.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 1, 2005 by

“I thought that the hotel was really nice, at a great price! It was always very clean, the staff very friendly! Hollywood was a very nice place to visit and I would go back there any time.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 15, 2005 by

“If it wasn't for the location in the booming renovated downtown strolling area, it would be a one star. The restaurant served seven of us the worst meals we've had in years. Even if we were once again trapped inside by torrential rains, we'd choose the vending machines.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 11, 2005 by
Karla from Carle Place, NY
“This hotel was not clean at all. Our sheets had to be changed because 1 bed had blood on the pillowcases...the other had makeup on the pillowcases and on the sheets. The front desk did not offer to bring up new sheets but wanted us to go get them! The room also had a funky smell. All public areas looked unclean. If the room had not been prepaid, I feel we would have had more leverage.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 11, 2005 by

“The Ramada Plaza Hotel in Hollywood was a real treat. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the rooms comfortable. The lobby is very attractive, as is the outdoor pool area. The hotel is in a terrific location for people who want to walk around outside. There are a few blocks in the immediate area of energy-filled hot spots, which were quite lively on Saturday night, but quiet most of Sunday (the length of our stay). The beach is nice - only about 2 miles from the hotel and easy to find. Plenty of shops and restaurants there as well.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 4, 2005 by

“The problem I had was more with the whole reservation process between the hotel. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Mar 1, 2005 by

“This hotel was filthy. I am not joking when I said that the our room smelled like urine. The phone was sticky and dirty, the door had dirty smudged all over it, the ironing board had brown stains and stuff all over it, it was ridiculous. I took pictures to send to Ramada. The hotel looks like it was a swinging place 30 years ago, but now, it is a hole....As a business owner, I would be embarrassed if I owned this place. It seemed like everything had something wrong with it.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 28, 2005 by

“The hotel was in a convenient location located about 10 minutes south of the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood airport. The room was clean, but the lighting left something to be desired. There are no light switches in the main part of the room - only lamps to be turned on by hand. I would not recommend asking the hotel to arrange transportation for you as their service is expensive and not very complimentary of other transportation services with which we had a much better experience.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 25, 2005 by
Carol from New Haven, CT
“This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room was so bad that I and my children slept in our clothes. there was a gap in the top and bottom of the door so large, my seven year old son kept thinking that he had to get up and close the door.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 22, 2005 by

“Great location, but room decor & overall hotel is dated.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 8, 2005 by

“This is the WORSE hotel I have ever stayed at and I don't think I would want to stay at a RAMADA if this is a 2 star. And will tell people of this hotel and where it is so no other poor sap stays there. The clerk at check in should be learn manners didn't even tell us where the room was or how to get there. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Feb 4, 2005 by
Bob D. from Franklin, TN
“Seemed like most of the staff did not care. Jan 27, 2005 by
Frederick from Tonawanda, NY
“It is rated as a two star hotel. There were very polite. It is a somewhat older hotel but it served our puropose. It was a grand hotel yesteryear, but now somewhat old, but OK.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 26, 2005 by
Ketih from Coralville, IA
“Our overall experience was very good. The hotel is well located and in walking distance of shopping and restuarants. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I would rate it above average.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 25, 2005 by

“I would not stay here again because the place was not clean or well kept and the staff was not accommodating. This is the first such experience I have had with a hotel.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 24, 2005 by
Linda from Kenosha, WI
“Overall, we were pleased with the hotel. We were there on New Year's Eve and Day so many regular hotel services were not operating (e.g., business center). The pool deck was pleasant, but the pool was not heated. The hotel was appropriate for the price we paid in that location.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jan 23, 2005 by

“I liked the proximity to the airport and Port Everglades but was disappointed that they did not offer free local calls. They required a $20 deposit plus they charged a nominal fee per minute. I also was unhappy when I saw the ants in the bed and on nightstand.” Jan 14, 2005 by
Harvey from Hilton Head Island, SC
“This Ramada is badly in need of renovation. Housekeeping was poor. Has to argue about bill where there was $24 charge for local calls (same area code) but I erroneously used 1 before area code. In that area 10 digit calling is required for local calls and my 7 digit calls didn't go through. Confusing.” Jan 13, 2005 by
Eugene from Carol Stream, IL
“Our overall stay was wonderful. Our hotel room was nice (spacious) and clean. Had free cable, two queen size beds for our price (unexpected!), and had locking safe in the room that you can secure with your own passcode. Hotel parking was extra, and outside parking is metered, though.” Jan 12, 2005 by
Rick from Ashtabula, OH
“Hotel was fairly nice, probably could use some refurbishing and needs to be cleaner.” Jan 11, 2005 by
Tom from Naples, FL
“It's in a beautiful city near the beach. The staff is very friendly and helpful.” Jan 11, 2005 by
Richard from Worcester, MA
“Located in a very deco area that is rapidly being restored, the hotel has a charm that is reinforced by its recent renovations. It is clean and quiet, but in an area with several good restaurants and bars with live performance. Would stay again.” Jan 8, 2005 by
Stephen from New York, NY
“Pool was very nice and they had a tiki bar next to it. The rooms themselves are nothing special and they don't have ESPN. The staff did not know much about the Orange Bowl event that we were there for and were not really able to tell us how to get to the stadium in the best way. If I was going to go to Ft. Lauderdale for a vacation I would not stay there. But for the one night that I was there, it worked out well.” Jan 6, 2005 by
Cindy from Chesapeake, VA
“Would use again for the price. Could be cleaner. There were hairs in the "clean" wash clothes.” Dec 22, 2004 by
Gregory H. from Vincennes “The most friendly staff I believe I have ever dealt with. Very nice accommodations and location was very good. Would recommend to anyone.” Dec 16, 2004 by
Michelle L. from Twin Peaks “hotel was older and therefore a little dingy. The staff was rude and inhospitable. The gym did not have a fan or air cond and was like a swamp and no tv or radio. 2 of the 4 machines didn't work. Barmaid was drunk by 6pm near the pool and was loud and obnoxious as she drank with the customers. Very bad environment.”
