• All rooms are suites
• It is by the train tracks, very noisey

“The hotel is located by the train tracks. It is very noisey when trains blow their horns as they go by daily. My room was nice,besides the bathroom being small. The carpet was stained and needed to be cleaned. Over all I would not stay here again. They charge for internet connection.”

“Room looked like they weren't finished with a remodel. Spackle in the bathroom, on the wallpaper, on the light fixture. Adjacent to railroad so wonderful wake up call whenever the train blows its whistle. Surly attitude from most hotel employees.”

• The lobby and restaurant.
• The room accommodations.

“The bathroom door did not close properly, and it did not lock. The toilet broke in the middle of the night and my husband had to fix it! Then the air conditioning started leaking from the main vent in out bedroom, right onto the floor. In addition, we had trouble with the remote control for the TV. We were very disappointed.”

• Atrium was nice.
• Very loud at night.

“The rooms are mostly located around the atrium, which was very nice. There was a large gap at the bottom of the door, so you could hear all the noise from there. Every sound echoed up to our room. The suite feature was nice & the room was fairly clean.”

• Trains, bad food, and shaky neighborhood.

“You know the movie, my cousin Vinnie, where the train rolls by at an early hour? Well this has the same thing, it rolled by on a Sunday morning at six and other times. They need a guard in the parking lot full time (not a good sign). I had to walk into the kitchen on a a weekday morning at 7 to ask the to get the breakfast ready.”

• The room itself and the atrium and staff were friendly.

“The hotel itself was OK. It had pleasant rooms, and a nice atrium with pleasant staff. If you are on business it is perfect, but you need a car to do anything, and you need to drive a bit, if you this is a vacation.”

• Rooms were comfortable, location was good.
• Service in restaurant and bar was lacking. Not enough help and no one cared.

“Hotel was reasonably nice, beds were comfortable, desk staff was helpful, original room had inoperative AC, service at restaurant and bar was slow at best, no one seemed to care about things being slow if you said anything, not sure I'd want to stay there again.”

• This hotel was immaculate, I will defiantly stay here again.
• There was nothing that I did not like at the hotel.

• I like the Atrium, fish pond.
• The Jacuzzi has no jets.

“The overall stay was nice, however I would not recommend the rooms at the front of the hotel directly above the lobby entrance because at night the flood lights can make hanging on the balcony difficult, sleep difficult as well, because the room is not dark enough.”

• Garden in the center and the room was a suite.
• The elevators were very slow and old.

• It had a very well decorated room, that was lovely.
• There was a dominatrix/bondage convention very publically held in the hotel with adult posters, whips and knives on display.

“This hotel isn't close to much in Ft Lauderdale, but the room was clean and well decorated. Our experience was a little out of the ordinary with the dominatrix/bondage convention in town. I was surprised to see graphic adult images displayed in the public areas (atrium/restaurant) of the hotel, along with whips, knives and other items. This should have been kept in a ballroom, as it was definitely not family friendly. Not a bad place to sleep, but don't do anything else there unless you plan on spending a lot of money.”

• The hotel had porn convention. Porn products and pictures being viewed and sold in common areas of hotel.

“Hotel management and staff were nice and friendly. Room large and clean. However, 3 star hotel with porn convention being held in lobby. Porn material on clear view/display in common areas. Pool closed for private party-like I would even get in the pool after this party. Very sleazy and disappointing experience!”

• Dirty floor, not a quality bed, loud train next door.

“It had obviously been updated with new furniture. With the noise next door they should consider "sound proof" windows. If the bed was better and the room was quieter, I would recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“This hotel was situated very close to the highway and local attractions. Please note this is an embassy suites hotel that has been converted to a Sheraton. The customer services were not the greatest. The rooms have been recently remodeled.”

• Nice public areas.
• Mold growing in air vents. Not very clean. Towels left in bag by door.

“This appears to be a nice hotel but has problems with cleaning staff. We arrived to find our iron on the floor in the hallway. Room was not very clean and there was mold on the air vents. That evening we returned to find our towels in a plastic bag outside the door rather than in the bath. We were awakening at 6am on a Sunday by loud music in the atrium being played by staff.”

“Very noisy because it is located on a main street. Train horns, motorcycles all night long. Room was not ready until 7p.m. Causing my 16 month old to not get her Nap, which in turn made for a long cranky night. Do not wish to stay at this hotel again.”

• Nice new room decor.
• Air conditioner sounded like a freight train all night.

“The hotel was in refurbishing stage halls and stairs had spilled drywall mud and lots of noise in the morning. We checked in late had to wait at the front desk for about 20 min. They were very busy (1 person at desk). Air conditioner in our room sounded like a freight train all night, the rest of the room was very nice all new.”

• The hotel management was horrible so was security and restraint.

“I will never stay here again my vehicle was broken into the food was horrid and my friend almost fell from the broken 8th floor balcony.”

• Cleanliness of my carpet and the smell of smoke though I asked for a non-smoking room.

“The hotel was adequate. This one was just okay. The one in Norfolk and Fort Lauderdale beach (Yankee Trader) were both beautiful.”

• Nice suite and great beds.
• Hotel going under renovations and to far from beach.

“Very loud in early morning with construction activity. Keys deactivated countless times. Ice machine broken. Terrible tasting food on breakfast buffet. Would not recommend for vacation travelers. Had to move twice due to the reconstruction even after a call to see if the renovations would be a issue. 2nd move the front desk gave us a key to another occupied room and walked in on the guest that was staying there. Overall I would say a disappointment in the choice.”

• Half and half in the room for coffee.
• Teeny tiny TV.

“While I really appreciate the half and half for my coffee, I really hated the 13 inch diagonal TV screen in the bedroom. Also I don't appreciate the high extra charge for Wi-Fi. Business travelers need internet connections and it should not be an extra charge item. (Yes I know it's common in 3 star hotels, but it shouldn't be and whoever is first to abolish this ridiculous custom will get my loyalty.).”

• Size of room.
• Under construction. Very old and worn.

“The hotel was badly in need of renovation. Some construction was going on during our stay. Lots of noise from 8am to 6pm! Carpets were stained. Linens were very shabby and furnishings were old and worn. The restaurant prices were so high that we did not eat in the hotel. The location to parkways was the only positive thing about this hotel. I would never stay there again!”

• The lobby.
• The rooms needed to be freshening up, new paint, carpet and bathrooms.

“The hotel is nice but the rooms just need to be repainted along with new carpet and fixtures. Great concept with a sitting area separate from the bedroom. The lobby is very relaxing with the ponds etc.”
