• Free breakfast is a nice perk, always had hot water for bathing and TV.
• Beds were hard.

“Rooms were small for the price, no microwaves in room, no hot tub by the pool. Coffee maker only made 1 cup at a time, we had 4 people in our room. Housekeeping made our beds, changed towels but left their cups we used full of beverages and coffees and didn't clean them or replace them with new cups and didn't sweep the floors. And they never replenished the coffee or bar soap we used.”

• Loved the room. I loved the pull out bed.
• Small bathroom.

“I liked the fact that I checked into the hotel early. We got into Pittsburgh early and they were nice enough to let us get into our room early. There was a couple at front counter staff that weren't all that helpful and nice, but the other staff made up for it. The staff that works the continental breakfast was really helpful and willing to make sure that I got everything and willing to bring it up to my room because I had a 1 year old in my arms.”

• Very comfortable matresses and the continnental breakfast was excellant.
• Small fridge was'nt cold enough even for sodas and bottled water. Shower area was a little dirty around the grout.

“All in the entire hotel was really great. I was surprised at the modernisms and it was very attractive, even calming with the decor. I can't speak more highly about the continnental breakfast, great selections! Be warery of the grab and go's just for snacks and even light meals. Very Pricy! Better off to hit the grocery store(Major chain) across the street!”

• Queen size & comfy sofa bed, big flat TV, frig.
• Tiny bathroom, parking lot dangerous, because of people using the hotels driveway as a short cut.

“Very nice room as comfy beds are concerned, bathroom is a little small, people are nice. it has a big screen TV and a little frig for drinks. as a exercise room and a pool but did not have time to use.”

“This hotel was beautiful and the staff was very professional. It was more than I expected. I stay in at least 10 hotels per month for my job (flight attendant) and this was by far one of the best. I stayed there because my flight to work had cancelled. I was relaxed and extremely pleased.”

• Modern, large flat screen TV free internet.
• Bathroom smelled bad, staff.

“Nice hotel, recently renovated and modern. Large room, huge TV. Bathroom had a very bad smell to it. This was huge problem, because I expense my rooms. After 5 minutes a manager came over and somehow was able to print me a receipt.”

• Comfort, decor, staff, facilities all good! Above average comp. Breakfast, great value.

“1st time at a Hyatt place. Very good for $ - conscious business travel. Work space was good, internet access good, nice appearance and comfortable, decent food and options for purchase, beer and wine, pool, exercise equipment above average, too. Friendly and helpful staff.”

• Nice, comfortable, clean, well furnished room; people were friendly and kind, but made a couple errors.

“I was so pleased with this hotel room, and I was especially appreciative of the fact that they let me into my room very early that day. I had dropped off my husband for an early morning flight and was so glad to get the room as soon as I got to this hotel. As indicated above the man confused the time and didn't give me a wake-up call.”

• Friendly staff, good continental breakfast, upscale rooms.
• Difficult to locate, it is stuck behind kohls and seems like you are driving to the garbage in the back.

“Very friend staff, which were all very helpful and gave good descriptions of all amenities of the hotel. I was very pleased with my room. Upscale room with all the fine details that a traveler expects. The only downfall is finding the hotel, it is located behind the kohl's shopping center and it seems like you are driving back to the garbage cans, but once inside you feel like it's an elite hotel.”

• The best decor, the best service, the most colorful and fresh breakfast, and the room was so clean and fresh.
• There is nothing I disliked about this hotel.

“I have stayed in a few hotels around the Pittsburgh Airport area and have found Hyatt Place to be the most appealing to date. This hotel was recently remodeled with a modern decor. Everything is fresh, clean, and the service was superb. It is near a grocery store, a mall, and within 10 minutes to the airport. It would be difficult to find a hotel to rate comparably at that level.”

“At the time of check in I was told the wireless connection is working but when I found there is no wireless connection installed in my room and complained to the manager, she was rude and unprofessional.”

• Very nice pool, extremely attractive room, great plasma TV, and comfortable bed.
• Currently still undergoing renovation so food area and lounge/lobby area are in disarray. Very slow elevators.

“The hotel is very conveniently located just off the expressway to the airport, and an easy drive to downtown Pittsburgh. Very attractive and stylish decor in the room, with a lovely 42" plasma TV in each room. We were very comfortable in the king bed, and our kids were very comfortable on the large sectional sofa and pull out bed. This hotel also features a very large pool and good continental breakfast. The Wi-Fi worked flawlessly as well. All around a very tastefully decorated hotel with ample amenities and a friendly staff.”

“The rooms were first class. I talked to another guest whose room was on the opposite side of the hotel and he heard delivery trucks all night for the grocery store located next door. I was on the opposite side and had it was very quiet.”

• I liked the setup of the room and space and cleanliness.
• The staff did not seem to care, construction on the weekend.

“The hotel suites were nicely setup. Bed very comfortable. Very clean. However staff not so friendly and did not seem to care. They were doing construction that woke me up at 8 am on a Saturday right outside my window. It was so horrible the construction they were doing on the weekend. I heard a loud noise that woke me up and I thought it was the air conditioner going to blow up. I could understand a weekday but not a weekend. It would have made more sense to start construction after specified check out time. Poor decision from hotel.”

• Overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke in non-smoking room!

“I was not at all pleased with this hotel stay. Check in was quick and efficient, but as soon as I opened the door to our room I knew we had a problem. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. My husband immediately went down to the front desk to notify them. The front desk person said they were aware of the problem and had been using an ozone machine in that room all day to clear it up. A housekeeper was at the desk, too and said oh, yeah, room is horrible! They knew it was awful and gave it to us anyway! When asked to be moved to another room of any room type, they said they were full and could not accommodate our request. Instead they gave us a can of Oust Air Freshener. Really, how pathetic is that? If it were not for the fact that we had 1.) Already paid for the room, 2.) Had an exhausted four year old with us, & 3.) Knew little to nothing about the surrounding area we would have left in an instant. It was a miserable night. We had to keep spraying the room, had the fan on high (noisy) and could not open the window to get any fresh air. I won't even get into how uncomfortable the bed was or how remarkably tiny the bathroom was. We were up at 7am to get out of there as fast as possible. We did stop and eat at the hot breakfast bar in the lobby which was nice, but by then we were so fed up with the hotel, it was hard to enjoy it. To top everything off, the hotel is in the middle of a major renovation effort and at 7 am construction crews were well on their way to getting down to work. If I had been looking forward to sleeping in, I would have been in for a rude awakening. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If in the Pittsburgh area, keep on driving!”

• The bathroom itself could use a plug socket.

“The Amerisuites Pittsburgh Airport in Pittsburgh, PA was an excellent choice for us. It is an upscale motel without having to tip a bell man for things you can do yourself. The full breakfast was a pleasant and helpful before we left for the day. A mall, movie theater, many restaurants and gas stations were in walking distance. The evening people at the desk were not very friendly but the day crew asked you if everything was ok. We would definitely recommend this motel and would return ourselves as well.”

• It was easy to find.
• Strange room set up.

“The staff was friendly! However the room set up was strange and not comforting - while it offered two rooms, the TV was positioned in the middle of those two rooms - and the restroom was located strangely compared to most hotels. While there, I attempted to locate an ice machine and never did so, nor did I find locators telling me where I could find it. The room was also dark even with the lights on. Not business friendly while working on some presentation material for the next day. The bed was adequate, but not particularly comfortable. In the morning, I asked a room attendant for more creamer for my coffee and he was unable to provide. While friendly, I found this to be odd that he did not have a completely stocked cart. As well the amenities such as lotion were not in the room.”

• Nice location and breakfast.
• The front desk people wanted to argue about non-smoking and king bed.

“The front desk clerk wanted to give me a smoking room and double beds, I didn't get her name, never had the problem in the past, when I went to check in the lady at the front desk said they were booked up and only had smoking rooms (this was 5pm) I told her that was her problem that I requested a non-smoking room. After a few minutes of discussion she found a room. Very unprofessional on her part. It was strange while I was in the lobby later that night I saw and over heard a gentleman requesting a room without a reservation and the same lady ask if he wanted a smoking or non smoking and the gentleman said non-smoking and got it. Strange they didn't have one 3 hours early. I stood there and the front desk clerk knew she had been caught, because she would not look over to where I was standing. Beside that everything was ok”
