“This is a wonderful hotel to stay at. Beautiful rooms, and a very friendly staff.” Apr 19, 2005 by
Ann from Houston, TX
“For the price I paid, I was disappointed with the hotel. The decor was very 80s and reminded me of the Golden Girls. Also, the bed was uncomfortable and the sheets felt like sandpaper. When I turned on the television, it sounded like 2 radio stations were playing at the same time that the television program was on. I could not get rid of this sound no matter what I tried. I was awakened each morning by 7am by the construction noise on the roadway adjacent to the hotel. The restaurant was grossly overpriced. I would NOT recommend a stay at this hotel.” Apr 18, 2005 by
Stephanie from Rochester, MN
“Overall my stay at the Sheraton Biscayne Bay was short with little complication. However, the bathroom was not clean. Shower curtain smelled of mildew and the tub was not clean. I arrived to hotel after regular hours due to a flight delay or I would have requested another room or house cleaning to prepare the bathroom properly,” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 16, 2005 by

“Our room had a great view of the Draw Bridge and Bay.We could see the tops of the cruise ships where we were headed. The grounds were pleasantly landscaped. We had a good night's sleep on the kingsized bed which had luxourious bedding and a comfortable mattress. The corner chaise /chair was unique for a hotel room and also, comfortable.” Apr 15, 2005 by
Mitzi from Bozeman, MT
“This hotel was fine for an overnight stay. Would not use it for a vacation. The staff was friendly, but areas of it (like the bar) felt a bit dirty.” Apr 14, 2005 by
Lisa from Spring, TX
“The Sheraton was a nice place to stay when visiting Miami. We were within all of the areas we wanted to visit (South Beach- less than 10 minutes away). We had a rental car, so the airport from check out to the gate took a grand total of 1 hour. The hotel was extremely busy on the weekends due to cruise lines (Norweign to name one). Parking was steep- $22/day. We were charged for 2 of 5 nights...not sure why? Otherwise, a nice hotel for the price.” Apr 8, 2005 by
Arturo from Hallandale Beach, FL
“The staff at this hotel was not knowledgeable. They were clueless. I also thought that it was unfare that we had to pay $20 plus tax for parking when we were a guest in the hotel. The whole side of the toilet in our bathroom was dirty. At the end I felt that we spent too much for the stay.” Mar 10, 2005 by
Drew from Hollywood, FL
“Great hotel as long as you don't mind getting ripped off for a $25 parking charge” Mar 9, 2005 by
Gloria from Tamarac, FL
“Sheraton Biscayne Bay was overall a pleasant stay. We did not agree to the payment fees, which should be included and charges to our room were incorrectly billed to us. The charge was credited at the end.” Mar 9, 2005 by
Ralph from Brighton, MA
“This hotel was a great value. It was clean, had friendly staff, is excellently located and has unusually fast room service. On the plus side, I received free fresh lemonade and a cookie on check-in. The only downside is they put a hold on your credit card of $167 (and I only stayed one night)!” Mar 8, 2005 by
Robert from Washington, DC
“Good hotel with well meaning staff; probably not enough staff to service the guests properly at check-in, otherwise I was generally pleased with the hotel” Mar 7, 2005 by
Richard from Kennesaw, GA
“Arrival was uneventful, the individual at the desk was not very friendly. None of the hotel staff that I encountered were very warm and friendly. The breakfast food and service in the restaurant was above above average.” Mar 3, 2005 by
Ed from Schererville, IN
“Good downtown location with Kinkos nearby. Very clean, easy to find, friendly staff. Nice riverfront views.” Feb 26, 2005 by
Mary from Seattle, WA
“A good choice if you want to be away from the noisy Miami scene". An excellent location."” Feb 23, 2005 by
Dan from Plymouth, MI
“I travel all over the world and I have never met a more unfriendly and rude hotel staff anywhere. They made my son and myself feel very unwelcome from the management down to the door man. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Nor would I ever stay there again at any price. ” Feb 17, 2005 by
Tricia from Camano Island, WA
“Good location - convenient to the Marketplace and short cab ride to Sobe. The grounds are beautiful and the desk staff were helpful. Rooms left a lot to be desired - very run-down and the smell was bad.” Feb 17, 2005 by
J from Green Cove Springs, FL
“I was suprised of the hotel's location. It was in the heart of all of the entertainment. The staff was very friendly. The hotel gave off a sense of peacefulness. However, my smoke detector was very old, the painting needed to be touched up along the trim and carpeting needed a major cleaning. The outrageous parking fee took the wind out of me especially once I found out that a vehicle two spaces down had been broken into. I was very disappointed in the security team their. Someone should man that booth at all times atleast till 2:00a.m. The construction view from the window did not impress me either.” Feb 16, 2005 by
Ramzi. from Birmingham, MI
“Clean, comfortable, very good location.” Feb 14, 2005 by
Myron from Cheyenne, WY
“ Our request for smoking, king bed with a view was cheerfully provided. Our room was large, with a balcony overlooking the Miami River & Biscayne Bay. The cruise port was visible between the condos across the river. We could look down & see manatees swimming. The bed was a pillow top with lots of feather pillows, & a cotton duvet. Nice amenties in the bathroom. Wireless internet is available in the rooms (for a fee). Valet parking is expensive, but friendly & efficient. The location is fine for business during the day, but not too close to anything, & not a good walking neighborhood at night.” Feb 13, 2005 by
Trudy from Afton, MN
“The hotel was very clean and the people were friendly. They had a nice outdoor pool area but it was cold and rainy when we were there, so we were unable to use the facilities. You could view the water from the room. ” Feb 7, 2005 by
Mike from Port St. Lucie, FL
“Other than hidden costs for everything from parking to the fitness center, the price point was resonable.” Feb 3, 2005 by
John from Fort Myers, FL
“Great hotel, friendly staff, right in the middle of downtown and served my needs well.” Feb 2, 2005 by
Jacob from Ocala, FL
“Great location, close to everything. Very clean and well kept. Parking is a breeze and the hotel staff was very friendly although hard to understand at times.” Jan 28, 2005 by
Michael from Jackson, NJ
“Very recently renovated lobby, very clean club-level rooms. Elevators were not running efficiently and twice I had to wait more than 7 minutes for an elevator while a crowd gathered. Jan 28, 2005 by
Dianne from Key West, FL
“Staff very friendly and accomodating. Room service food was tasty. Hotel extremely clean.” Jan 24, 2005 by
Patricia from Tewksbury, MA
“If you are arriving a day before your cruise departs this is a good location to stay. It is close to the Bayside Marketplace and a short cab ride to the Port of Miami. Keep track of your luggage. I checked my luggage in with the bellhop to eat breakfast and they misplaced a piece. The staff really didn't care and I had to leave for a cruise. Customer service from the bellhop area was POOR!!!!!!” Jan 22, 2005 by
Gabriel from Tampa, FL
“The hotel is a study in contrasts... great location and furnishings, with horrible service for the most part. It often took 10 minutes (literally) for the elevators to come. Some staff members were fantastic, others were horrendous. I repeatedly had to call the desk to follow-up on requests. They were not very proactive. I expected more from this caliber hotel.” Jan 20, 2005 by
Donna from Westminster, CO
“This hotel is being torn down in May. The Staff is aware of it's demise and seem to have lost interest in Customer Satisfaction.” Jan 17, 2005 by
Jean from Fond Du Lac, WI
“Good value for price. We booked four rooms and all were clustered together with different views of the city. Hotel was clean. Location was GREAT--within walking distance of downtown and a bakery, and within view of the ships in the Port of Miami.” Dec 24, 2004 by
Derek N. from Miami “Hotel lobby and rooms were nice. Avoid the restaurant. It's overpriced and not good.” Dec 14, 2004 by
Michael A. from Rochester “We wish they offered a shuttle to/from the airport.” Dec 3, 2004 by
Daniel C. from Bellevue “The Sheraton Biscayne Bay in Miami, FL was an overall good hotel. It was within a short walk to the Port of Miami, and a short drive to South Beach. The hotel was clean and there was ample parking (although it was an additional $18/day plus taxes). The only "complaints" I would make are that the hotel restaurant prices were very high (about $4 for a glass of juice); also, the hotel pool was nice, but there are so many buildings around it that the sun was blocked for a good part of the day. Overall, I would stay there but drive to the beach for food/sun!” Nov 10, 2004 by
“Very nice area. Hotel building and it's rooms were old compared to its surroundings but lobby was very nice. Small rooms, parking prices were quite a surprising $23 per day when room was only $60 per day. Overall a decent hotel, not great but not horrible.” Hotel Representatives:
