  • Nice whirlpool.
  • Well-worn rooms, pricey dining, hidden $5/night "resort fee".

“Property has seen better days. Lots of malfunctioning equipment, from card readers on doors to flush mechanisms on toilets. Filthy elevator carpeting. Lack of investment shows. Can not recommend this property.”

“Some thug black man standing there. He was security. Told me to go up to front desk and they did not even apologize. I should have gotten a free night. I take it with a grain of salt and consider the source. What a low life bunch. I also was hustled into a time share hustle. They slid an invitation under the door and I went to talk to the hustlers who lied that I would get 3 free trips if I went for an hour or two tops. Well I went got up early my last day and went over to the place and it was a joke. 3 hrs. Hard sell by 3 different hustlers from NYC. And it was awful. I ended up with one lousy trip and that was not guaranteed. And all the salesmen were like mafia types. Hoods and hustlers. Talk about a hard sell. What a joke. And Ramada put its' name on that. They were hand in hand. Hustling the tourists and others.”

  • The front desk clerks were friendly.
  • The walls were extremely thin; the cleaning staff was extremely noisy in the early morning before dawn.

“Although cheap this hotel was extremely dirty and dingy. From the yellow water which they claim is safe to the thin walls. Avoid unless you really hard up on money and can't afford anything else.”

  • The staff was very friendly and helpful.
  • Pictures showed pool and Jacuzzi that were working not under construction.

“The hotel was wonderful unfortunately I booked there because it had a pool and a Jacuzzi that were under construction. The only reason I stayed at a hotel instead of my friend house was to use the facilities. I would use the hotel again.”

  • Bugs, pool was closed the whole time, showers didn't work, ect.

“This hotel was horrible and I would never stay in it again! It had bugs the showers went from hot to cold the whole time you used them, I wanted a place with a pool and the pool was closed the whole time we were there. The "business center" was an old computer on an old worn down table. The elevators didn't work. Overall I hated staying in this hotel it was horrible.”

  • The service, they don't know what this word means.

“The staff at this hotel doesn't have a clue of what costumer service means. They didn't help me with any of the needs that I had as a guest. They have a terrible attitude when answering phones and speaking to people. I am from Costa Rica a 3rd world country and I got the feeling I didn't leave my country when I spoke to this people. At this moment I have a deposit freeze in my credit card account and my bank asked me for a letter from them saying that they are not going to charge me for anything and the people at this hotel simply told me that they don't do that, that they don't send faxes and that my bank is lying to me, that's it! So if you want to get a feeling of what to expect at a -1 star hotel in a third world country like Costa Rica, visit the Ramada Plaza Ft Lauderdale, I am positive they will give you the worst they can.”

  • It was inexpensive.
  • Four days after check out there's still an authorization hold on my account!

“Hallways were in dire need of new carpets! Most elevator buttons didn't light up. Card key didn't work in side entrance. Hotel receptionist at check in was very pleasant. Hotel receptionist at check out wasn't well mannered and just had a general laid back bad attitude.”

“This was one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had in any hotel. I would probably never book a hotel online ever again. The hotel was dirty, cheap and old. Elevators did not work most of the time, the hotel was dirty, the staff was unfriendly. Pictures online did not match the rooms in the hotel. The hotel uploaded the address as Ft. Lauderdale but in reality this hotel is located on a different city about 30 minutes away from Ft Lauderdale. During my checkout I had to fight with the staff because they had applied charges made by a different guest to my credit card. I will never stay at this location and will never recommend anyone to do so.”

  • The staff is incompetent and has charged my credit card at random for something I did n to owe. I have to report them for fraud at the bank.

“See 13. The hotel is extremely poorly run. The smoke alma was beeping and needed a new battery. It took two phone calls to get it changed. The hotel forte to wake me up in the a.m. I have a business appt. And finally my credit card was charged with $15 which I do not owe. I cannot speak to any intelligent person to get it credited and it is my attention to report the management to Wenham hotels for dishonesty.”

“I called within 10 minutes of booking this room because after I did a Map quest on it I found it was not located in the Fort Lauderdale area. The staff even admitted this to me. If this was Fort Lauderdale, then Pontiac is Detroit! When customer service means nothing to you, your company means nothing to me! ”

“It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, claiming to be a 2 star facility. I will never stay or recommend someone to stay at this facility. My wife and I were lied to by the manager on down and it seemed to be a big joke to them. I have actually stayed in 5 star resorts with two bedroom, two bath facilities for the same amount of money. Do yourself a favor and take this so called hotel off your list, before your reputation is completely destroyed.”

  • Supposed to get a wake up call but they didn't do it.

“We were supposed to get a 5:00 am wake up call to be able to make it to port everglades. They did not call either of our rooms. We were lucky that one of the people in our party woke up about 5:30. We had to rush to get to the port before it departed for the Bahamas. Upon returning to the hotel after our Bahamas stay the hotel manager was rude.”

“The entire experience with this hotel from the non-existent (although confirmed by phone) shuttle, the filth of the public spaces including elevator and lobby, the bathroom faucet that came off in my hand, the poor location, the room with one (1) towel etc made this a miserable travel experience. I did complain to the management which graciously refunded the room charge but I would rather have had a decent travel experience.”

“I went to this hotel as a business traveler and it was great for that. Wireless internet everywhere. This hotel was clean, the buffet was good and I will stay there again. Be warned, it is a stop of for geezers before they go on their cruises, so lots of unattractive flabby wrinkle¿s in swim suits! Also, the old folks take longer to check infect.”

  • Old and dirty, Ramada is not what it used to be.

“Just what you'd expect from Ramada, if you've been in one in the last five years. Dirty, poorly managed, badly in need of renovation, and a poor value. I spend nearly half of every month in hotels, so I feel well qualified to comment on this one. Like many poorly maintained hotels in s. Florida, this one smells like mold. The rooms and public areas are in real need of renovation. Hallway lighting is poor, and carpets filthy. Beds are worn, and cupped from overuse. This is one of many Ramada inns¿ I will avoid.”

  • It had a clean lobby and restaurant and ample parking.
  • The room was not serviced while we were there for the 2 nights.

“This was not one of the better hotels that we have stayed in. My friend and I went out at 9:30 am and returned after 4 pm. The room had still not been serviced and cleaned. Went out at 5:30pm for the evening and returned after 11pm and found that our room was not touched at all.”

  • Quality and Value.
  • An older property which needs some renovation.

“The Staff is friendly and helpful. The food is good at the hotel restaurant. Also it's a nice stay for the price-range; however it may not be the best place I have ever spent a couple of nights, and nothing to write home about. It's clean and comfortable and value priced. Pat, the guitarist in the hotel lounge is a living Juke box of hits from the 60's, 70's and 80's. He's a truly gifted and amazing musician. The wait Staff and Bartender Mike were also very nice.”

  • Bed mattresses uncomfortable for the ones that can not tolerate a firm mattress.

  • Bar tender was friendly The room it self had a safe to put my personal in.
  • I stayed on The 4th floor I wet to the ice mashing to get ice the mashing was not working Went to all the mashing on all other floors, on ice.

“I thought the first floor Looked like A lot of lower class people or homeless were stating and in needed a paint Job there Only 3 of 4 elevators were in working order I stayed one extra night was not given the same price I was Quoted 3 hours earlier the TV on the 1st floor is not on the same system as the other NO HBO on the 1st floor.”
