“Motel was very nice the only problem we had was the hallway to our room on the 3rd floor had the worse smell that Nov 7, 2008 by
“The staff was very nice but the hotel smelled of cigarette smoke and stale beer. They had no cribs available for infants. We did not get a chance to enjoy the pool though it did look awesome. The location was great and very convenient!” Oct 28, 2008 by
Lyle
“Fine for the money, we got what we paid for.” Sep 9, 2008 by
Rosalind A. from Houston, TX
“However, I did not expect the hotel to be so low quality for the extra fee charged! The elevators are really slow, the carpet always looks dirty & the rooms were really humid despite the AC. Don't think you could argue against paying the extra fee even if you did not use the resort features that would be basics for other hotels (pool, pool towels, WiFi.). At the restaurant, I had ordered breakfast with eggs, toast, & tater tots. There was a long hair in my eggs and a shorter piece of hair on my tater tots! Put some nets on in the kitchen people! On the plus side, the hotel greeter was really nice and the restaurant's breakfast buffet is good. Overall, I would not recommend this place for anyone.” Jul 31, 2008 by
Anne from South Bend, IN
“Nice and accommodating.” Jul 10, 2008 by
John from Mount Olive, NC
“Wouldn't recommend to my in-law much less anyone I actually liked.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Mike from Ocala, FL
“The hotel was convenient to restaurants and shopping and was easy to access from the Turnpike. For an older hotel, the rooms are kept up and clean, but a little dated. Great for a family on a budget, lots of activities like the pool, arcade, and tennis courts! Overall a decent experience, except for the hidden $5 "resort" fee that was not disclosed until I went to check out! I tried to argue about it.” Jun 5, 2008 by
Aj from Los Angeles, CA
“Location was great, clean, beautiful get away with pool, hot tub and bar, very, comfortable.” Jun 2, 2008 by
Michael from Stone Mt., GA
“Excellent value for the money.” May 23, 2008 by

“The hotel was ok but the $10 surcharge is very deceptive.” May 1, 2008 by
Tony from Jacksonville, FL
“Hotel is a basic hotel nothing grand hotel staff is very friendly and helpful hotel has nice pool, Jacuzzi and tennis courts this hotel has seen better days but for 2 stars its good enough.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Mike from Mesa, AZ
“Everything was nasty from the towels to the bed sheets. The tissue looked like it was used and put back in the box. The water from the sink and faucet smelt weird. The air conditioner was old and cut off at random times. almost everything in the room was broke or dirty.” Apr 15, 2008 by
Kyoung H. from Rockville, MD
“Nice hotel for one night stay.” Mar 31, 2008 by
Ida from Amesbury, MA
“Hotel was adequate for our needs, and location was too far from Downtown. Food was good, service was very good.” Mar 18, 2008 by
Becky from Kirksville, MO
“The game room and the kids room are currently being remodeled. The hotel was ok. I would stay here again.” Feb 27, 2008 by
Jim from Omaha, NE
“Good location close to I=95 and Florida turnpike away from the Downtown congestion. Restaurant had great buffet in evening service very slow however for breakfast had a great waiter, never let the coffee cup get empty.” Feb 20, 2008 by
John from Farmington Hills, MI
“Do not recommend this hotel to any one till they fix it, blankets have holes, sheets smell like cigarettes.” Feb 19, 2008 by
Kevin from Highland, UT
“We stayed here because it was the only hotel with an open room. It was not a 2-star hotel. The staff was lethargic when we checked in. The carpet in the halls was filthy. We got a "suite", but it felt more like a hotel suited for seedy whores. There were bits of trash and crumbs throughout the room and along the edges of the carpet. The carpet was stained and felt so dingy on our feet that we wore sandals as we walked around. The furniture was probably 30 years old and the TV stands were scratched and had large chunks taken out of their bases. The wireless internet did not work. Then, in the morning they wanted to charge us an extra $5 for the amenities, including the internet. The bath water was brown, and the drain was clogged so that you were almost up to your calves in brown water before your shower was done. The beds were okay, but even in the suite, there were 2 double beds instead of two queen beds or one king. At one point during the night, a hotel employee used his access card and entered our room announcing he was "here for the party". We noticed that even though the hotel was booked full, there were several employees who were using access keys to get into rooms. One of the elevators didn't work at all. The working elevator had buttons falling off of the panel and the lights didn't work. The room was also filthy with dirty carpet and smudge marks all over the walls. This hotel was terrible. Do not stay here.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Ariela from Brooklyn, NY
“Upon arrival, my partner and I were drawn to the aromas wafting from the restaurant. Once checked in however, we were discouraged by the smells emanating from the hallways which was something like an ammonia mop used on a wet carpet. We couldn't escape it. The overall appearance of the common areas was worn and in need of repair/replacement. Tile would be much cleaner and easier to keep that way. The carpet was old and smelly and there seemed to be a system in use to freshen the stale air. It just wasn't masking the truth of the matter. The garden where the Tiki bar and pool are located was our oasis and found a hammock that we nestled in for over an hour. This was the best part of the hotel stay as this is where most of the money and energy is spent, obviously. It was beautiful.” Feb 18, 2008 by
Harvey from Euclid, OH
“The hotel staff in my opinion was as professional as I have experienced there was a lot of visible hores play happening amongst the employs during times of customers check-in. Unorganized in that manner as well. The rooms were outdated as far as the TV, dressers, the iron blew every fuse in the room and the were unsafe use of extensions cords. Overloaded cords.” Feb 16, 2008 by
Nelson from Pompano Beach, FL
“I was pleased with the staff. They were courteous and pleasant.” Feb 6, 2008 by
Jackie from Madison, WI
“A good value. We stayed at another hotel in town for the same price and it was terrible.” Jan 30, 2008 by
Frank from The Villages, FL
“Good for business traveler, old but there trying to keep up.” Jan 26, 2008 by
Ronald from Wildwood, MO
“Would be a poor 1 star hotel.” Jan 25, 2008 by
Ray from Carol Stream, IL
“The hotel is misrepresented as a resort and in its star rating. The shower water is greenish/yellow, the carpet needs to be changed 10 years ago.” Jan 23, 2008 by
Doug from Naples, FL
“Very clean, upscale with nice facilities. Fifteen-minute drive to Hard Rock Casino.” Jan 21, 2008 by
Rick from Rimrock, AZ
“If you have a choice between this hotel and a Sewer Grate on the street, it's pretty much of a toss up.” Jan 12, 2008 by
Ronald from Wildwood, MO
“Terrible Hotel. Should not be rated a 2 star.” Jan 7, 2008 by
William from Chicago, IL
“Property has seen better days. Lots of malfunctioning equipment, from card readers on doors to flush mechanisms on toilets. Filthy elevator carpeting. Lack of investment shows. Can not recommend this property.” Nov 24, 2007 by
Joe from Guadalupe, CA
“Some thug black man standing there. He was security. Told me to go up to front desk and they did not even apologize. I should have gotten a free night. I take it with a grain of salt and consider the source. What a low life bunch. I also was hustled into a time share hustle. They slid an invitation under the door and I went to talk to the hustlers who lied that I would get 3 free trips if I went for an hour or two tops. Well I went got up early my last day and went over to the place and it was a joke. 3 hrs. Hard sell by 3 different hustlers from NYC. And it was awful. I ended up with one lousy trip and that was not guaranteed. And all the salesmen were like mafia types. Hoods and hustlers. Talk about a hard sell. What a joke. And Ramada put its' name on that. They were hand in hand. Hustling the tourists and others.” Nov 4, 2007 by
Sissy from Tamarac, FL
“You'd be better off at an extended stay.” Oct 8, 2007 by
Tiffany from Columbus, OH
“Although cheap this hotel was extremely dirty and dingy. From the yellow water which they claim is safe to the thin walls. Avoid unless you really hard up on money and can't afford anything else.” Oct 7, 2007 by
Elaine from Orlando, FL
“The hotel was wonderful unfortunately I booked there because it had a pool and a Jacuzzi that were under construction. The only reason I stayed at a hotel instead of my friend house was to use the facilities. I would use the hotel again.” Oct 4, 2007 by
Tyla from Hilliard, OH
“This hotel was horrible and I would never stay in it again! It had bugs the showers went from hot to cold the whole time you used them, I wanted a place with a pool and the pool was closed the whole time we were there. The "business center" was an old computer on an old worn down table. The elevators didn't work. Overall I hated staying in this hotel it was horrible.” Sep 29, 2007 by
Gerardo from Boca Raton, FL
“It was good and I would stay there again if I happen to go to Florida in the future I had no complaints about the hotel. My wife and kids liked too.” Sep 21, 2007 by
Angela from Westerville, OH
“Great price. Not as close to downtown and airport as I had hoped.” Aug 15, 2007 by
Pam from Philadelphia, PA
“Overall, the hotel was nice. I would stay there again.” May 30, 2007 by
Federico from Doral, FL
“The staff at this hotel doesn't have a clue of what costumer service means. They didn't help me with any of the needs that I had as a guest. They have a terrible attitude when answering phones and speaking to people. I am from Costa Rica a 3rd world country and I got the feeling I didn't leave my country when I spoke to this people. At this moment I have a deposit freeze in my credit card account and my bank asked me for a letter from them saying that they are not going to charge me for anything and the people at this hotel simply told me that they don't do that, that they don't send faxes and that my bank is lying to me, that's it! So if you want to get a feeling of what to expect at a -1 star hotel in a third world country like Costa Rica, visit the Ramada Plaza Ft Lauderdale, I am positive they will give you the worst they can.” May 28, 2007 by
William from Glastonbury, CT
“Hallways were in dire need of new carpets! Most elevator buttons didn't light up. Card key didn't work in side entrance. Hotel receptionist at check in was very pleasant. Hotel receptionist at check out wasn't well mannered and just had a general laid back bad attitude.” May 14, 2007 by
Marilyn from Hallandale, FL
“Over all it was good. Dinner buffet was limited and what I mention above towels were flaky (not to good condition).” May 11, 2007 by
Adrianna from Hampton, VA
“This was one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had in any hotel. I would probably never book a hotel online ever again. The hotel was dirty, cheap and old. Elevators did not work most of the time, the hotel was dirty, the staff was unfriendly. Pictures online did not match the rooms in the hotel. The hotel uploaded the address as Ft. Lauderdale but in reality this hotel is located on a different city about 30 minutes away from Ft Lauderdale. During my checkout I had to fight with the staff because they had applied charges made by a different guest to my credit card. I will never stay at this location and will never recommend anyone to do so.” Apr 21, 2007 by
Mrs. B. from New York, NY
“See 13. The hotel is extremely poorly run. The smoke alma was beeping and needed a new battery. It took two phone calls to get it changed. The hotel forte to wake me up in the a.m. I have a business appt. And finally my credit card was charged with $15 which I do not owe. I cannot speak to any intelligent person to get it credited and it is my attention to report the management to Wenham hotels for dishonesty.” Apr 6, 2007 by
Barb from Lyndon Station, WI
“Very nice, clean and efficient hotel. Staff was helpful. Nice pool area. Safe and secure area. Convenience stores near by. Very pleasant stay.” Mar 25, 2007 by
Roger from San Angelo, TX
“It was everything I expected which was not true of a hotel I got the first night of my trip which was more expensive and should have been rated a one star.” Mar 17, 2007 by
Murray from Jacksonville, FL
“The toilet base was cracked, room 255 and barely glued together, the tiles in the bathroom were falling off the wall. Totally unacceptable.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Ron from Oxford, MI
“I called within 10 minutes of booking this room because after I did a Map quest on it I found it was not located in the Fort Lauderdale area. The staff even admitted this to me. If this was Fort Lauderdale, then Pontiac is Detroit! When customer service means nothing to you, your company means nothing to me! ” Mar 14, 2007 by
Scott from Yakima, WA
“An average, cheap hotel that tries hard. Not really a resort. Small grounds and limited parking.” Mar 12, 2007 by
Rod from Mascotte, FL
“It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, claiming to be a 2 star facility. I will never stay or recommend someone to stay at this facility. My wife and I were lied to by the manager on down and it seemed to be a big joke to them. I have actually stayed in 5 star resorts with two bedroom, two bath facilities for the same amount of money. Do yourself a favor and take this so called hotel off your list, before your reputation is completely destroyed.” Mar 11, 2007 by
Connie from Greensburg, PA
“We were supposed to get a 5:00 am wake up call to be able to make it to port everglades. They did not call either of our rooms. We were lucky that one of the people in our party woke up about 5:30. We had to rush to get to the port before it departed for the Bahamas. Upon returning to the hotel after our Bahamas stay the hotel manager was rude.” Mar 8, 2007 by
Nikki from Newton, NC
“Easy access to main roads. Friendly staff. clean sheets. Grocery store across the street. I felt safe.”
