• Rooms are spacious and very attractive.
• Currently under renovation.

“This is a very nice hotel. The rooms are spacious and very attractive and comfortable. I like the suite since I often get up earlier than my husband and I could go to the other room and read or watch TV. The hotel is currently undergoing an extensive renovation and the only drawback was they started each morning very early.”

• We loved the atrium, and that the rooms all overlook the beautiful landscaping, the free breakfast made to order was also a great touch.

• The fish ponds were very cool and I liked having separate bedroom.
• The room needed a makeover.

“The atrium and lobby are extremely nice but the rooms are a less nice. The beds were nice and comfy and the bedding was good, but the color scheme in the rooms is a little funky, the wallpaper borders were peeling off and one of the couch cushions was darker than the other ones. The kids loved looking at the fish, riding in the glass elevator, and swimming in the nice warm pool. Free breakfast was pretty good, but the ticket system was a bit of a hassle.”

• The courtyard stream with fish, bridge & lobby area.
• My child became sick after eating the scrambled eggs & threw up upon returning to our room. A staffer removed my tray when I went for tea. Noisy.

“Entry was very nice - lobby with fireplace, & beautiful courtyard with stream/fish & bridge. Signs were confusing - no actual restaurant used a bar/grille. Pool had paint-chips & hair/debris throughout. Buffet breakfast ran out of items & while I went for tea, a staffer removed my tray/plate, etc. so I had to go back up through the long lines. Long lines for omelets (20-30 min. waits). Front desk had not entered our extra day extension & someone (staff) kept knocking on our door to check out of the room (at noon & 1:30). Housekeeping stingy in restocking items (tissues). Rooms were very nice, but easily heard people in hallways & adjoining rooms until late into the night.”

• No real negatives on this trip.

“Stayed here several times and it is consistently a good experience. Loved the suite-style rooms, made to order hot breakfast and the nightly manager’s reception (free beer and cocktails, nice munchie spread including 2 hot choices)”

“Breakfast in the morning was sub par for a 3 star hotel. Rooms were nice, but room service noticed us packing up and bringing stuff out to the car so they waited out by our 3 rooms so they could clean it mind you this is at 10 am when check out is at noon. That is the only thing that made my stay bad ohh yeah and the moldy bagels my wife pulled out of the cabinet the first day we stayed there.”

• Everything was great except for no privacy in rooms.
• The hotel has just drywall between rooms and you can hear the neighbor's cell phone conversations like they were in your room.

“It is a beautiful hotel, but you could only enjoy your stay there if the rooms next to yours were unoccupied.”

• Loved the unique layout with the open atrium in the centre. Breakfast choices were great too.
• There was not anything we did not like about the hotel.

“Beautiful location on the top of the hill with lots of privacy. Interior has a very unique design with the open atrium in the center and all the hallways to the rooms looking into the center area. Wonderful breakfast service included and a restaurant on site for lunch and dinner service. Suites were roomy and met all our needs.”

• Comfortable beds; free hot breakfast daily; maids left towels in bag on door when do not disturb sign was out.
• Small desk in bedroom; living area had large round table but no natural lighting in there.

“Very clean with comfortable beds and good shower. Free hot breakfast daily was great. Afternoon managers reception is also great. (Free alcohol, munchies and a couple hot appetizers.”

“When we arrived, we were told that we did not have a room since they had a storm the evening before and a few rooms could not be used because the roof leaked. In addition, we could only find rooms at a less desirable hotel 15 miles farther away from our planned event.”

• The lobby was excellent, the amenities were great.
• I had no option but to stay in a smoking room: the room was very dirty, the walls were dirty, the refrigerator was not clean, the room smelled bad.

“My only complaint was that I had to stay in a smoking room, and it was very dirty. I had no problem with the staff- they were very nice. The lobby and amenities were great. I didn't like that you had to pay for wireless access. the free breakfast was nice, but a lot of the food was cold. I'm sure I would have been much happier if it were not for the room I stayed in.”

• I liked that we were able to allow the kids to leave the room and not worry that they were out of the hotel.
• They had a prom that went on till 4am and they were loud.

“The hotel was beautiful the rooms were very nice the only thing that I was not happy about was there was a prom going on in the hotel and they did not have respect for the other people that were staying in the hotel it got very loud and I was not able to sleep.”

• All of the amenities they offer and how it is decorated.
• The wallpaper in the rooms did not match the dcor.

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Upon check in I let her know there would be five of us in the room. She was very helpful in telling us where the room was. When we needed something extra for the room they were quick to respond. We had the breakfast there which was okay. We ordered room service one night which was okay as well. I don't think if I stayed again that I would do that. I would have to say that my only problem was with the food and other than that it was a wonderful place to stay and I would do so again. I will also recommend it to friends.”

• Despite pre-paying for this room. Our room was given to another customer.

“We arrived tired and exhausted after a full day of traveling only to learn that our room was given to someone who had decided to extend their stay. It was late in the evening and I believe the hotel was not being honest with us and gave our room to someone coming in late chancing that we would not show. When we did show that sent us to another hotel. I will not stay in another Embassy Suite.”

• It is a ways from any restaurant other than the one in the hotel.

“This is a very nice hotel though the location was a bit far from the airport. There are no restaurants in the area other than the one in the hotel which looked so-so and only a very few people eating there. However, the room was clean, modern and very comfortable. I would stay there again.”

• Room was a little tattered, nightmare for those afraid of heights.

“Generally a good stay. Friendly staff, lovely breakfast, good room service. Rooms are in need of renovation but the beds are very comfy. If you are afraid of heights as I am, be sure to ask for a ground floor room- the open railings around the court yard and the glass elevator are terrifying.”

• The price was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
• I booked a room with two double beds and when I got there they were giving me a room with a king size and hide a bed I was not happy.

“My reservations stated a room with two double beds and a hide a bed. When arriving they were putting me into a room with a king size bed and a hide a bed. I was not happy about it. Another lady came in with no reservations and they switched a room so she could have a room with two double beds, there were only two people in that room, I had four. They switched someone elses room and gave them a room with the king size bed and the two ladies got the double. I feel that was totally wrong. I eventually got the room I wanted. I was not a late arrival either we got there shortly after three in the afternoon. I had even called the next day after I made the reservations and they said that I did have a room with two double beds.”

• Room we had was just above breakfast area and kitchen, also view from window was roof top level.

“We enjoyed our brief stay, pick up and delivery service from airport was both quick and friendly as was check in. Breakfast was included and a plus. Hotel has park and fly accommodations. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel is well used however appears maintained.”

• They allow children to run around till late in the night, midnight.

“I did not get a good night sleep because children were running around outside my room until past midnight. Called front desk, but nothing happened. Next morning when I told the front desk at checkout. Their response was non-apologetic and sarcastic "sorry, you should have asked for a change of room, there's nothing we can do now".”

• Poor gym, room had a bit of an odd smell.

“All in all great hotel. You can't beat embassy suites free breakfast! My room smelled funny but I believe it is a common cleaner used by hotels (I have experienced it at other hotels). The gym was ok but at least they had one.”

• The hotel public spaces and facilities were very attractive and above average.
• I didn't like that they charged an extra fee for internet usage.

“Everything about this hotel says "wow". The lighted waterfall and plants in the atrium with glass elevators add a wonderful touch as does the restaurant located in the same area. I could almost spend my time in the atrium area of this hotel just relaxing and doing nothing more. The rooms are well equipped and the staff is helpful and friendly. You also get a free breakfast buffet or omelet cooked to order. My only beef was the fact that, in a hotel of this price range and quality, they charge extra for internet use while others include it at no extra charge. Not enough to keep me away put it was annoying.”

• The atmosphere of ambiance and the quietness of the environment.
• No complaint at all.

“The PGH airport embassy suites was situated away from the airport and mall on top of a hill. The large porch with rockers and swings reminded me of a southern home and as one enters, the ambiance of splendor was visible everywhere. One can hear the waterfall before they see it in the center of the hotel with tiered balconies surrounding the atrium with greenery, walkways, and dining areas. It was my ideal of the perfect place! The food and service was great!”

• Large rooms, attractive atrium, helpful people.
• Got put in a smoking room and if you don't smoke it is atrocious to be in a smoking room. Smelled bad!

“I would never stay at this place for more than one night. I've stayed in a lot of embassy suites and this one looked like that put it together with cardboard. Most are open and airy inside but this one was dark and closed in. The breakfast was awful.”

• Old furniture and the pull out beds need replaced. Lumpy poor back support.

“Nice atrium area that gives a soothing tone to space. Sometimes the crowds get noisy at night, especially if you are over the bar area. Sound travels up. Noise not heard from the bedrooms, mostly if you are in the common area of the suite. That is the best thing about the room, can close off the door to the bedroom from the suite area and hear almost no noise.”

• Room furniture was not at the typical quality level of embassy suites.

• The water in the front.
• The bedspreads, need to upgrade look.
