• Free parking.

“If you just need a place to sleep before a flight and free parking, this is okay. If you think you are staying at a hotel worthy of the Crowne Plaza name, you're not.”

• Location and price.
• Staff was rude, room was older - should be renovated.

“The movie channel went out so we could not pay for a movie for my children. At night, there are no cartoons, and they wanted to see a movie. The security guard came in, the maintenance man came in, nothing would work. So, as a sorry about your movie, I received one complimentary breakfast. So I could eat, but my kids could not. Something was just not right with that.”

• The location was good for our needs.
• Our room was not cleaned the third day we stayed there so we had overflowing trash and ran out of soap and shampoo.

“I have stayed at Crowne Plaza hotels before and this one was not a good. There was mold in the shower and they called at 8:00 local time to tell us when they would be there to take care of the problem, which was 5:00 our home time and too early for a phone call. As I mentioned earlier, our room was not cleaned one day and we were left with too much trash and not enough amenities. I have never had that happen anywhere where I have stayed. On a good note, the bed was extremely comfortable and the desk clerks were very helpful and friendly (except for the early phone call). The restaurant personnel were also very friendly.”

• This room was dirty! Wall paper peeling off of the walls.

“This room was extremely dirty. It was a smoking room and smelled like it had never been ionized. I switched rooms twice and they were both the same. A young couple that had checked in at the same time I had was also trying to change rooms. The wallpaper was peeling off of the walls. The hairdryer was full of dust. There was hair on the bathroom walls. The room was dirty so I started looking for more dirt! If it was not so late when I arrived I would not have stayed at this hotel even if it was free!”

• Conveniently located to restaurants, malls and airport.
• Lobby dull, old facility.

“The lobby was kind of small, the front desk easy to miss. The rooms are old even though the building facade looks new. There are no vent fans in the bathroom, hence the bathrooms smell moldy.”

• Very nice size rooms, and my battery died and a man that worked on the buses helped me. He was excellent or he was a maintenance man.
• Restaurant: great for breakfast great omelet maker, terrible for dinner. Very over priced for dinner and truly the dinner was over priced for food.

“Hotel is fine, could use new shower walls in the shower, rest is okay. Older updated staple hotel, but worth the priceline price no problem. Very nice staff, you can tell they have been working here a long time. This is a Pittsburgh Staple.”

“The folks who work here are kind and want to help, but the facility itself is below standard. The room was extremely small and the bathroom was inadequate. There was also nothing around the hotel you could walk to - no restaurants or attractions of any kind.”

“The hotel is not at the airport. So if you are going to Pittsburg this hotel is in the right direction, but if you travel anywhere else then south, then you must add 15 to 20 minutes to your trip. Nice hotel, clean and modern, just a little out of the way.”

• At check-in was given free upgrade to a quiet floor.
• Smelled of smoke, particularly in bathroom.

“The hotel was what could have been expected for the price and location -- adequate but nothing that stood out. There was a loud wedding party in the lobby bar when I checked in on a Saturday night so I particularly appreciated a free upgrade to a quiet floor. The only negative at the hotel was that I was given a non-smoking room but it smelled of smoke, particularly in the bathroom. Otherwise no complains about the overall experience. Staff at front desk was very helpful at check-in.”

• I was able to get into the hotel room before check in.
• They wanted to clean room between 2 & 3 PM and I was getting ready for a wedding. So I did not get it cleaned. They could not come after 3PM.

“A fine hotel for a business traveler who is not picky. The hotel is somewhat shabby in appearance, the restaurant does not offer many options and the rooms are not all that nice. Even the TV had limited cable stations. I would not stay there again.”

• They upgraded our room since we were trying to avoid smoking rooms.
• The pool was outside and closed by 8 pm.

“The staff was terrific especially the night clerk who upgraded our rooms. The airport shuttle was on time and otherwise reliable. The location was easy access off of the highway.”

• The decor and location were nice.
• The housekeeping wasn't very good even after we left a tip.

“I thought overall it was a nice hotel. The decor was nice. We ended up on the Priority Club floor, which I am not sure if it was any different from the other floors. It seemed to have been recently updated. My only quibble is that the housekeeping wasn't the greatest. There was a layer of dust on the TV and the glass was all streaky. We left a nice tip the first night, and they still didn't do a great job. I wasn't asked upon check-out if everything was ok. The swimming pool was nice. The first time we went down there weren't any towels and I called the front desk. They were there within minutes with towels, which was nice.”

• Had trouble getting in with my key card, housekeeping let me in.

“Very nice hotel in appearance & atmosphere. Trouble getting in my room after I went to get ice, my key card wouldn't work and I wasn't up for the long trip back to the lobby to get reeked! Had to get housekeeping to let me in my room! That was very inconvenient. But overall, my stay there was good. A fridge & microwave would have been nice to have.”

• The large bathroom for handicapped.
• I would like a wheel -in shower, this one had a low side.

“The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and I liked getting the newspaper at the door. There was a seat in the tub at the end but when a person who is handicapped sits on it they cannot reach the shower. I would like to have the shower be a wheel-in one so my mom could sit in her wheelchair and get a shower.”

“The shuttle service to the hotel to/from the airport was convenient. The room itself was very dusty and the bathroom was not in good repair. The restaurant did not have a kid friendly menu and was the only option except for pizza delivery. The vending machines didn't even work.”

“This is a very nice hotel. The AC unit is somewhat dated but still functional. Free wireless internet is great for business. I was supposed to receive a king size bed but they over booked and only two full size beds were available. The "Sleep kit" provided was very interesting and helpful in getting a good night's sleep. The alarm clock was very nice and easy to use.”
