- We needed to change rooms and they immediately and nicely accommodated us.
- A $23 charge to valet park your car is absolutely and profoundly absurd.
“Beautiful location, some of the nicest hotel staff members I've ever dealt with, ultra clean rooms, little to no noise to be heard, and fantastic price for the room, not for valet, which was absolutely absurd and I refused to pay it and chose to park on the street. Television in the rooms need an upgrade though.”

- Although we had to pay for valet service, it was worth the money. The service was excellent and staff was very friendly and extremely helpful.
- Breakfast was not complimentary.

- The staff is friendly.
- The carpet in the bedroom had a huge black spot. The bedroom was too small. No restaurant at the hotel. It is no located in a good zone.

- Did not get double beds, had to pay for cot 2 nights, hit with $23 /day parking bill, and carpet was damp.
“Extra parking of $23 per day (on top of cot fee). There was not an adequate number of towels in the room based on occupancy, and I felt like the staff was treating me as a budget customer.”

“Quaint, small hotel across the street from the Marina. Water view from upper floors. Clean, upper end towels. Cookies on a rival and any time you asked for more because you are totally addicted. We purchased a tin for the road. Bar in the lobby. Sitting area. Televisions on. Awesome bar tender. No need to leave. Great desserts. Would recommend this hotel over any we stayed at during our Florida vacation.”

- If you need a hotel that is in downtown, this is an option.
- It's old and busted.
“While the staff is very friendly, most are poorly trained. The hotel charges $30 for valet when you can park at meters literally across the street. The rooms are very old, with rattling doors and windows. Faucets, showers, AC all poorly maintained. Elevators frequently break down. Wireless is worthless and only select floors are wired. Rooms are facing the bay, and/or have a balcony.”

- Valet parking was the only option, at $23 a night, which closed at midnight.

- Cleanliness of the room and the view from the balcony was unmatched. Individual coffee maker was a bonus.
- The mandatory valet parking was not acceptable.
“We stayed at this hotel for one night due to its close proximity to Miami port. It is about 6 miles away. There is a local bar overlooking the marina right across the street that has fresh seafood for dining. The required valet parking fee was the only drawback to this hotel. The rooms are very clean (we had 2), the view overlooking the pool and ocean is beautiful and serene and the service is impeccable.”

- Our 1st room was very small but the staff moved us to a large room, beautiful.
- The elevator system is very slow.
“I would highly recommend this hotel. We had stayed at The Ritz Carlton on our last two visits to Coconut Grove and The Double Tree Hotel. For the money was excellent. I would stay there again absolutely. The location is excellent and the pool area was pleasantly very nice.”

- Heating appeared to be broken. The gym was not a gym; it was a closet.

The pool however was gorgeous, but the weather wasn't so that was no help. And the location was not where I wanted to be but that's my fault I suppose.”

“I was extremely dissatisfied with this hotel stay. I have stayed in Howard Johnson hotels with more class. The room was old, the air conditioner was old, and smelly and drippy. It was a musty room, and a musty floor. In fact, after I checked in and went to my room, I came back by the front desk and asked to be changed to a non smoking room, or a non smoking floor. I was disgusted to find out that it was not a smoking room, nor a smoking floor, that the musty old smell was just that, musty and old. This is not the quality I would expect from a Hilton hotel, I have stayed in plenty in my life, and several in the past year. I was very disappointed with this stay, and would like to be contacted so that I can speak to someone regarding this dissatisfaction.”

- Located in a nice residential area of Miami. The free 'welcome' cookies was delicious.
- Valet parking is $20. Small bathrooms. Slow free Internet.
“This is a nice hotel if you want to stay in the relaxed chic area of Coconut Grove. It's in a residential area so not many shops within walking distance. Also, it's easy to find street meter parking for overnight to avoid the $20 valet charge. Rooms were nice with balconies. There is a tennis court too! Free Internet is slow. Ice machine only on the 1st floor. Bathroom is small.”

“I will not be staying at this hotel in the future. It was nowhere near a 3 star hotel. The staff was apathetic and never responded to our requests about non-functioning lights in the room, even though we called everyday. The room was not attractive and the decor was drab. The bathtub had a stain in it. I was very displeased with my experience.”

“Nice looking, well maintained hotel with very friendly staff. In a picturesque area with water and marina views from the restaurant and pool. Excellent breakfast buffet that was reasonably priced for a hotel. My only issue was that I checked in 45 min. before restaurant / room service closed and was unable to get an answer on the phone and there was no one at the host stand in the restaurant when I went downstairs. I could hear people cleaning in the back, when I asked busboy if the restaurant was open he said technically yes but that the kitchen was closed. There was nothing else open within walking distance so I made due with the vending machines at a 3 star hotel at 10:30 at night.”

- Hotel staff greeted us warmly and advised us of free (metered) parking available from 10PM to 10AM.
- Valet service is costly and may be the only option available during busy times.
“We came to Miami to pick up a 26 foot sailboat so staying on the 11th floor with a view of the marina at Biscayne Bay and all the sailboats moored in the bay was truly beautiful.”

- A Simple Hotel with out any frills But is clean.
- Hotel staff were not at all able to handle a reservation issue we had. Very Bad Experience.
“Hence they asked us to make a new reservation for double the price with out even trying to fix it on their side, even after I showed the printed copy of reservation. This all happened at 12 in the night on a Friday Double tree didn't have an open help desk. On top we had a useless front desk person. Finally next morning before my overseas flight, I had to call the hotel central customer service. And there seems to be a system glitch which prevented the reservation in the central system appearing in the hotel's local system. But they are very poor in handling the situation. They told me that they will investigate it on Monday and I have no idea what is going on now. They said they will email me while I am abroad but hadn't done so far.”

- Poor quality staff - unfriendly.
“The staff at this hotel was unfriendly and unaccommodating. Didn't honor our reservation request or make any attempt of accommodate my family. Beware.”
