- Appealing decor, spacious room, lovely patios facing pool courtyard.
- No mirror in bedroom.
“We stayed here while in town for a friend's wedding. We had a relatively early flight and when we went to drop the bags we were informed that a room was already ready. Pleasantly surprised, we headed up to the 6th floor. The room was spacious and included a nice size patio, mini bar and king size bed, all with a wonderful view of the surroundings. Would definitely stay again!”

- The hotel appeared to provide substandard rooms to customers.
- The first room we checked was into smelled of mildew; the second had a broken air conditioner.
“While this is a beautiful hotel, the staff did not provide the level of service expected of a Hyatt. Our first room smelled strongly of mold or mildew. After switching to rooms, we discovered that the second room had an air conditioner that did not work properly (it would not shut off). The front desk offered to send an engineer up to the room (at 11:00 pm). The engineer's solution to the problem was apparently to shut off the compressor. The room became oppressively hot by 3:00 am. After spending 20 minutes in the room, the engineer offered to switch us to another room. However, at this point, it was nearly 11:30 pm and we did not want to switch again.”

- The hotel was in a good location, private and big hotel some how comfortable.
- It had a strong smell like it wasn't clean in the hallways.
“When I got that hotel for my request I was pleased it looked good, but when we went to our room it had a strong smell in the hallways. I didn't notice the smell anywhere else but it was permanent in that area. The carpet in the hallways looked very dirty that was probably the smell.”

“Hotel does not look and feel a 4 star. Water pressure in bathroom is weak. Told management, did not get anything besides a simple sorry and walked away. Pool was closed for a private function. As a guest, I did not have access to the pool that evening. - simply was not worth the money.”

“The hotel is two blocks of Coral Gables, Miracle Mile. Rooms are in average condition but the 14th floor rooms do not have a curtain that shuts out the light to a small window very high up in the ceilings. This allows a tremendous amount of light into the room in the AM. Beds were very comfortable and the room was very spacious for a non-suite room type. $19/day parking adds significantly to the stay cost.”

- Bathroom was outdated, toilet was dirty, and shower had mildew, charged $16 for overnight self parking.
“The hotel has a beautiful exterior and lobby and is within walking distance of many stores and restaurants. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. However, we were charged $16 for overnight self parking in the garage and the bathroom was really outdated. The toilet was dirty and kept running, the sink was cracked and the tub had mildew. The bed sheets seemed really clean and all the linens were white which was really nice. The bed was comfortable. It was a nice hotel but definitely not a 4 star hotel. I would classify it as an upper 2.5 star hotel or a 3 star at most.”

- The staff was so friendly and asked how they could help every time I passed them.
- Parking was $16 a day.
“I took a mini-vacation alone and stayed in this hotel for one night. The bedding was very comfortable, the room service was prompt and delicious, and the staff is very helpful. The pool and pool house were well maintained and the property and views were beautiful. It is within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again!”

- It's just old and worn out, rooms need updating and renovations.
“Good location, great staff - very courteous, friendly and helpful. The rooms are badly in need of renovation and repair, wallpaper is peeling off, windows were dirty, bath room fittings and decor are probably from the 70s/80s, etc. The lobby has clearly been redone more recently but it is not a good reflection of the rooms. Overall, a good hotel (3-Star in my opinion), good location, wonderful service. But find yourself another hotel if you prefer to stay in nicer and more contemporary rooms decor or even if you plan to spend considerable time in your room.”

- The hotel embodied Coral Gables elegance. The common areas were beautiful and helped me fully enjoy my Miami experience.
- The charge for valet parking was a bit steep. I do understand the need for a parking charge, but 19-dollars in Miami is steep.
“The hotel was exactly what I needed for this trip, elegant, restful, good service, in a great location. I would definitely stay here again on a return trip to Miami. The pool area was relaxing, and it even had spots to get some shade.”

- Paying for parking. $19.
“The hotel was clean and nice, very comfortable and felt 'plush'. we enjoyed our stay and wished it was not pouring rain so we could have enjoyed the beautiful pool.”

- Bed very uncomfortable.

- Very attractive hotel.
- Very poor service must be understaffed.
“The hotel and pool are very attractive. However, the staff was horrible. We called down for extra towels and it took over an hour to get them, not to mention a second call down. I was having a conversation with a fellow guest and she said the same thing. She called down for a glass to take her medication and it took them almost two hours. Unacceptable! Also, on their website they advertise a shuttle to pick you up from Miami airport and my girlfriend, who was traveling by herself, waited for over 30 minutes for the shuttle and it never showed. Come to find out that there is no shuttle. I mean come on---Days Inn and even Comfort Inn had shuttles running. Unacceptable! Also, the band Images was supposed to playing at the hotel-again false advertisement on the website. Oh well. I'm very disappointed with Hyatt.”

- Great location, amenities & very helpful staff.
“Hotel is located in "downtown" Coral Gables, close to everything. The room was above average. The staff was incredibly courteous a helpful in all aspects.”

- Lovely lobby and attentive staff.
- Air conditioning did not work right and bathroom needs updating.
“Hotel was fine, and that was it. A lot of things inadequate. Air conditioning in room not working properly, toilet ran, shower fixtures outdated, ice machine in hall not working, no coffee maker in room. The personal comfort items of a four star hotel missing, except for a very attentive staff and a nice lobby.”
