• Nice pool.
• Not much to do in the area.

“The hotel is clean and the staff was friendly. However, I did not like the area (even the restaurants and bars close by were closed most of our stay). They charged $21/day for valet parking and $16/day for self-parking. They also charged for internet per day.”

• The old-world elegance, the spacious room, the updated bathroom, the pool.
• They had not replenished our bar or cleaned out the ice bucket. Unappealing restaurant.

• The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, nice and comfortable.

“This hotel was at the top. The valet staff even did little things that were so helpful, like going back out to my car to get my glasses, helping me get my medicines out later that night when I realized I'd forgotten them in the car. The bellman was fast to call down for us to get a roll-away and it was there in no time. The roll-away was as comfortable as the king bed, which was wonderful.”

• Location is great for those visiting Miami and are not staying at beach.
• Parking and breakfast costs are a bit pricey.

• They changed us to a suite over looking the pool!
• We ordered room service breakfast and it was cold and wasn't very good. For the price it was not worth it.

• The redesigned rooms were just beautiful.

“The staff was very accommodating. We didn't check into our room until 2 AM. But they were happy to quickly check us in and give us a beautiful room. We were absolutely satisfied with the room, the service, the location, and the recommendation of the staff of a good Cuban restaurant nearby.”

• The bed was comfortable.
• Internet access should be free as well as self parking!

“I found the hotel stuffy, as in like that old world charm people talk about. The room was clean however the new carpet smell was overwhelming and had to move rooms, which the front desk did not want to accommodate at first request. I feel internet access and self parking should be free as well. The work out room seemed to be an after-thought shoved into a corner in an old closet.”

• The internet was charged. I travel a lot and stay at many hotels and all are FREE. This should be FREE at this hotel.

• Large and spacious and clearly kept in top notch condition.
• Terrible internet connection which prevented my work from being done properly.

“Although a lovely space and a well-meaning staff was clearly aplenty, the knowledge of a simple thing, like how to ensure a consistent connection to the internet, was impossible.
I was knocked off the hotel's wireless service constantly and there was no proper service to allow internet connection by cable/DSL. As a business traveler this will prevent me from ever staying at this hotel, or the Hyatt regency chain again.”

• Beautiful, restful decor in room and exercise room has great equipment.
• Little stuffy for children (would recommend only for well behaved children).

“Beautiful decor in public spaces and the rooms. Friendly staff and very good exercise room with first rate equipment. Beautiful pool area and very clean. Extras are expensive like mini bar & $6.50 bottles of water so be aware before consuming. In walking distance of stores, restaurants and nice areas to walk.”

“This hotel is a great romantic getaway or nice for a quick one or two night visit. It is in the heart of Coral Gables and very near entertainment. The service is outstanding and everyone is super friendly and helpful. We stayed here for a pre cruise vacation and had a blast at this hotel and enjoyed the stay.”

• Virtually all the staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful.
• Although the facility was well kept and the architecture was great, the room themselves were in need of updating, that is new carpeting, furniture, etc.

• The clean, friendly maid service and bell bottoms, nice and clean pool.
• The Jacuzzi has too much cloro. The hotel does not has a yellow pages to find phones for stores.

“Beautiful main entrance, the hall is very luxurious. The restrooms very cleaned. The elevators were goods, needs complete mirror. Too much noise in my room by others guests.”

• Beautiful pool!
• Most amenities you have to pay for - parking, internet, etc.

“The hotel was very beautiful but we were disappointed that we had to pay for basic amenities such as parking ($19 per day for valet) and internet. Coral Gables is a quaint town with some attractions (Venetian Pool and Biltmore Hotel) but for my next trip I will probably just stay in South Beach.”

“The front desk staff was very friendly. The room was spacious and overlooked the pool. The pool area and spa were very nice as was the gym. The only flaw was the TV of our room, which was a smaller, older model than the flat screens usually found at 4 star hotels.”

• Shower head is too slow and blanket is too thin and cheep.

“One of the best hotel I have been to in a while. From doormen to front office staff to room service. Every one was helpful. May be this was their slow season. Blanket was too thin and I was cold at night. Can improve on shower head. But overall excellent place.”

“This was a great hotel! Rooms were clean, room was with a very spacious balcony, the staff was awesome! Convenient location for Coral Gables, FL. The only thing that is bad is the parking. All they have is valet and its quite costly but we parked at the meters during our stay and it worked out fine. I would definitely stay here again!”

• The public areas and the area around the hotel are great.
• The room didn't have soap shampoo or enough towels.

“The hotel public spaces are great. The gym and pool are wonderful. When we checked into the room we were a bit disappointed. The room was missing toiletries and towels. They were there the next day. The area has lots of nice shops and restaurants so make sure to check them out. The Cuban food is incredible. Just ask any one who works at the hotel where to go.”
