- Nice friendly staff and old yet upscale feel. Rooftop pool.
- No shuttle service to airport of seaport. Expensive restaurant a lack of variety.
“I think this was a very nice hotel. It was clean the staff was friendly and accommodating. I loved the pool and the location was good if traveling without a car,it was a nice area if you wanted to walk. Unfortunately even though my kids were pleased, this is not a location for kids.”

- Gorgeous and smelled wonderful!
- Housekeeping missed our room one day - make sure to remove DND sign from door early if you want room cleaned.
“It was beautiful and the staff was professional. There was a lovely, light fragrance upon entering this hotel. (Smoking is allowed in the covered, outside pool area which was nice for my smoker husband.) Budget about $25/night for the valet (or you can park yourself at meters along the street). Room was spacious and well appointed (we had a single level room - many here are 2 levels). Nice flat screen TV, lovely green tea scented soaps, marble bathroom (no exhaust fan and rather dimly lit), comfortable bedding and BIG windows to let in that Miami sunshine! We didn't use the restaurant or the small gift/sundries shop on the 1st floor. Overall this hotel is very nice indeed! And definitely a step or two above hotels such as Quality Inn, Red Roof, etc.!”

“We weren't there long, but two problems with the hotel. First, our room was on the opposite side of the elevator so we had to listen to that all night and especially beginning early in the morning. Second, housekeeping knocked on the door at 8 the next morning. We had gotten in late the night before and my family was all still sleeping. Before we could answer the door, they were already in the room.”

“Met every need. Proximity to airport, shops/restaraunts in Little Havana and travelling with 2 children required a special hotel. This hotel on the miracle mile went the extra mile. Great spot!”

- A bit far from downtown or the beach.
“Overall very nice and definitely great bang for buck. Only downside is it is a bit of a hike to get to down town Miami or to the beach. The rooms are elegant, spacious, very comfortable, clean. Service is great. Parking is 20 dollars a day but we found street parking without much hassles.”

- The hotel was beautiful, clean, and had a nice atmosphere for a romantic weekend getaway!
- The hotel parking is rather expensive but there are other places to park.
“Overall, this hotel met all of my expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. The architecture and design was absolutely gorgeous, and it was located in a nice area in Miami. It is also very close to Coco Walk and the Miami Arena, so staying there was very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and stay there anytime I am in Miami. All of the rooms are nice, spacious, and comfortable. I thought the parking fees were a bit expensive but there are other garages and meters nearby if you do not want to park in their garage.”

- The location was central to shopping dining, etc.
- The bathroom was not four star bathroom. The hotel hosted weddings every night which meant chatter and doors slamming all night long.

- Housekeeping often forgot to leave washcloths and the hotel gift shop was rarely open.
“Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westin Colonnade. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and our room was very spacious, with extremely comfortable beds. The only negatives were that the hotel's gift/snack shop was rarely open and the housekeeping staff was somewhat careless in the way the beds were made (bottom sheets not tucked in) and in forgetting to leave washcloths.”

“Pleasant staff, good location with respect to shopping and dining. There are two very good restaurants on site including Mortons. The room service menu was limited as was the after hours menu. Valet parking was $22.00 per night reasonable for Miami. The rooms themselves were above average in size, very comfortable bed. Nice rooftop pool that was never very crowded in the 4 days I stayed at the Westin. I would stay at this hotel again.”

- Impersonal. Not enough elevators - had to walk about a mile to room on opposite side of elevator.
“Great location. Should inform travelers with cars of parking fees. Only one set of elevators, meaning we had to walk for what seemed a mile to get to our room on the opposite side of the hotel. Pets allowed, yet so inconvenient to have pets because there are 13 floors and the walks are long before getting to a green area (of which there are none at the hotel - not even by the pool).”

- The decor was beautiful.
- The set up of the hotel is weird. Very long and winding hallways. Took about 20 mins. to reach the elevator.
“The hotel was very nice. The lobby and main area was gorgeous and very clean. Some of the staff did not speak any English which made it difficult to communicate with them. Overall, the help staff was good. The rooms were a very nice size but were ruined with really old, run down chairs. It was an enjoyable experience!”

- Small pool; single elevator far from rooms; two separate elevators to exit hotel.
“Best for the business traveler. Large, clean, comfortable rooms. Internet access by payment only. Close to all area restaurants and downtown shopping. Inconvenient to enter and exit hotel- requires one elevator from street level to lobby and a second from hotel lobby to room. Only one bank of elevators that are located from many of the rooms in different wings. Small but clean pool and pool area.”

- Female valet attendant was very rude!
“My stay at this hotel was wonderful. The room was nice and the hotel was clean. The housekeepers did a wonderful job and were very friendly. The only negative encounter that I had was with a female valet attendant. She was very rude, not once, but several times. She even had the nerve to yell at me when I first arrived at the hotel, telling me to park down the road. I think she's accustomed to yelling at her staff, so she thought it was OK to yell at me - which was not!”

- The service and the personnel are excellent. The hotel very clean, is well maintained and it is located close to several good restaurants.
- There is no parking available and if you have to enter and to leave you must entrust the car to the service of valet and it is not user-friendly.

“Good hotel for a business traveler, but definitely not for leisure. Parking is expensive ($20 a day or $22 for valet), the pool is small, and there are no extras to make your stay more comfortable. The room was clean, but the sheets were rough and the bed wasn't great. The cleaning staff replaced the soap/shampoo/conditioner one time in 4 days, the room was not cleaned until late afternoon, and there is no breakfast included. Coral Gables is a cute area, but the shops and restaurants close early, and most of the restaurants are chains.”

“Very impressive entry-ways. Good service -- management preemptively compensated our late night room service after the delivery was delayed. Located in a fairly commercial district, which appears recently developed and clean, but which lacks culture or destination restaurants/bars. A resident of this hotel would definitely be driving to South Beach, etc. for evening entertainment.”

- The bed and sheets were luxurious and comfortable.
- Jackhammering on Saturday morning from nearby construction. Lobby not on lst floor.
“All in all we enjoyed a relaxing and quiet stay in very charming Coral Gables. We really enjoyed the short walks to shops, quaint cafes, and Miracle Mile. The building is not new, but the room was very clean and tastefully decorated with contemporary flair which included a large flat screen plasma TV. Bedding was quite comfy with great linens. Staff were all polite and nice.”

- The roominess, quality and the bed.
- Almost everything on the television was pay per view.
“The hotel was gorgeous inside. The parking staff was prompt, courteous and helpful. It was very convenient for anything in Coral Gables.”

- The bed.
- Noisy, poor planning and no regard for other guests.
“Room was not ready on time, no bath mat in bathroom and could not get one. Room did not get made up second day until 5:30 PM. Had to get new keys the second day because they did not work at 1AM. Cigar smoke in hall ways. No newspaper in morning. Ice machine was out of order and could not get ice. Shelf in closet had not been cleaned in years. Room was shabby. paint peeling. walk ways were dirty. Loud wedding going on both days to all hours of night which made sleeping impossible.”

- Location, friendly staff.
- Sheets are thin and too small so are crumpled up by morning.
“Excellent hotel in very convenient location. Decor is classic and in good shape. Staff is plentiful and extremely friendly. Nice bar area, often w/live music and lots of couches and chairs for just relaxing, even if you don't drink. Towels are small and a little thin. Sheets are not crisp, rather thin & small so by morning they are uncomfortably crumpled underneath you. Linens about my only complaint with this otherwise excellent hotel.”
