“If you are a single traveler, do not go to the restaurant. You get ignored and the waiter was rude when all I ordered a club sandwich. They get an automatic 15% gratuity as stated on the menu so, he did not care.”

• The hotel is clean, location is great for business travelers.
• Shuttle service from the airport, is very disorganized. I waited over one hour to be picked up only to be missed completely by the driver.

“I think the hotel is excellent for business travel. The staff is courteous and the service is excellent, the rooms are very clean. Improvement ought to be made regarding the shuttle service.”

“The front lobby was very clean and modern. The pool and landscape was very relaxing. The carpet was clean and elevator was in great condition. Great for the price. You will need a car but there is a shuttle to and from the airport, which is 5 minutes away.”

• Near the beach.
• No ramp at the front of the hotel for luggage!

“Not bad for the price. Location was not convenient if you don't have a car. Rooms are noisy, my door squeaked loudly, elevators were very slow, TV express checkout did not work. Housekeeping did not give me new lotion/shampoo, the bottles were not changed from the last guest It's fine as a place to sleep, but it didn't blow me away. But for the price, it was acceptable.”

• Very convenient location extremely clean and good service.
• The entrance of the hotel and the street is being remodeled and under construction, be careful.

“This is a very good hotel especially for the price you can not ask for anything more I would definitely recommend it to everyone if your trying to get a place to sleep. Not a recreation hotel very small pool which is always full of children. Not that it's a bad thing but as an adult with no children I feel uncomfortable swimming with them. Airport is just a couple of miles away, don't worry rest assure you won't hear a thing from the outside.”

“One of the worst experiences I have had. If you choose not to use the valet you have to carry your luggage up or downstairs to get to a level to use the elevator. Then they blocked the entrance to get to the garage while they were doing tile work. The restaurant had very limited selection and inflated prices.”

• The staff was very friendly.
• The hotel was so noisy, we couldn't even sleep.

“The entrance is beautiful, the rooms cute. The food okay. The rooms not completely clean. The access to the beach was great, but the cab ride to South Beach takes forever. We wouldn't stay there again due to the noise issues. They had a party going on with techno music so loud that things in our room vibrated. When we called down at eleven, we were told that they would have them lower the music, but it would be over at midnight anyway. Nope, 12:20 am, music still pounding. Also, you could hear everything going on in the room next to you and we could not sleep the entire time there.”

• The hotel was clean, spacious- ample storage space for clothes and suitcases, friendly staff, beautiful grand lobby and had good view of ocean.
• The bathtub/shower was very slow to drain- standing in water in shower and the high price for parking your car - no other choice but to use valet park.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. The lobby is grand and beautiful. The staff friendly and approachable. The rooms were clean well equipped with a good side view of the ocean. Very good value for the cost of room.”

• The location to the airport was great and the shuttle service was great.
• The room had an odor that and the bed lines smelled.

“This hotel is located just outside of the airport great location however, the room smelled and the lines smelled funky. I checked in at 1:45 AM and check out by 5:45 for my connecting flight. I would recommend staying here for the location to the airport. If you stay here between connecting flights like me I would suggest you also bring some fabreeze. What makes my stay comfortable is not the looks of the lobby but the comfort of the room. Lobby A+ Room D-.”

• I enjoyed the bed, it was very cozy.
• I am not sure why but I woke up with a rash. I am not sure if it was the sheets or perhaps something else.

“Not a 4 star hotel by any means, at best 2.5. Room was very clean but very outdated. Pool was nice and beach area was within steps of the hotel grounds. Parking was very bad. A parking charge of 22 dollars per day then a resort fee of 10 dollars per day add 32 dollars a day.”

“If you want to experience Miami Beach without all the crowds, noise and excessive energy of South Beach, this is the ideal place. The atmosphere is very pleasant. It is easy to get in and out of. Access to the beach is just out the back door and is very nice. I will go back there without hesitation.”

• The construction around the hotel took away from the beauty of the hotel and its vicinity.

• Very comfortable beds and pillows.
• Air conditioner was so loud you could not sleep. Even though room slept 4 only had 1 glass in it.

“Not a lot to do around the hotel without transportation. Lots of what seems to be long term construction going on making it difficult to get around. Less likely to stay at this hotel again in the future. Room was comfortable as well as beds but air conditioner was too loud to allow you to sleep. Family of four had to share one glass and when ordering food you had to go downstairs to meet delivery person as hotel would not allow them up to the room to deliver food.”

• Room not ready at 4 pm no where to store bags not ready for crowd.

“A nice hotel. Had a large group of people come in at the same time and where in no way ready. Lobby was so full could not get into it. Luggage was everywhere, rooms were not ready. Said would call cell when room ready did not. The best part was pretty beach and beach bar staff was very friendly and go out of there way. Front desk needs work on customer satisfaction.”

• The beds were perfection. The pillows were feathery and perfect, the sheets were high quality. The bathrooms were granite with beautiful fixtures.
• Dining room was freezing.

“This hotel is absolutely the closest one to the Miami Airport. Their shuttle comes every 15 minutes starting at 5 am.”

“Good restaurant, quick to make amends for that unfortunate hair in the salad. Rooms small but well outfitted with flat panel TV and good mattresses & pillows. Wonderful to have airline info in lobby and on TV. Great concierge. Computer access (with printer for boarding passes) in lobby - though should not have been mobbed by young, unsupervised teens at 11 pm. Also used in room computer access for $9.95.”

• The ambiance of the hotel was spectacular. The staff was very helpful and kind.

“The Whyndham Hotel at Miami Airport was quite lovely. The bus shuttle picked us up and took right there. The check-in was quick, and the room was temperature controlled where it wasn't freezing upon entry of room. The bed was nice and high of the floor. The TV had access to airport arrivals/departures, folio info. movies to order.”

• The room could have been larger.

“This hotel exceeded my expectations. The only drawback was all of the construction immediately in front of the hotel. The golf course view to th back was beautiful along with the pool/patio area. Would not hesitate to stay there again.”

• Was not provided with bathroom amenities. No free wireless internet in bedroom. Daily parking system was too troublesome for guests.

“The worst part about staying here was finding directions to reach to the hotel every time we return to the hotel. Even our GPS system got confused and sent us back to the highway for another 3 miles. The best part is of course the cleanliness of the room and lobby including hotel facilities such as 10-minutes internet kiosks, gym and swimming pool.”

“There is no convenient parking for personal parkers, you cannot reach from parking lot to the hotel, with your luggage in your hand, without taking the stair case and through the narrow passage. The rooms have no optional fresh ventilation - no windows at all! The AC was making more than cooling! The bath tub is half my size and the coffee maker and locker has no place than in the bath room!”

• The valet service was horrible, slow and expensive.

“The hotel itself was more luxurious than the actual guest rooms. The rooms were very dated and in need of an update and minor repair. I loved the huge closets but the "tub" was more of a shower stall. It would have been nice if it had balconies since it was so close to the beach. The front desk staff was nice and the food was good. The valet staff is in much need of re-training on professionalism. The resort and parking fees added another $100 to my trip, it would have been nice to know that wasn't included prior to booking.”

• Very slow valet service especially for $22 a day.

“Did not have correct room reserved on first day. But sent up a free fruit and cheese platter. And a 3 free buffet breakfast! otherwise great service. Very comfortable. Unfortunately parking is $22 a day. Easy access to beach. Quick room service.”

“When my wife and I arrived to celebrate our anniversary (after getting lost several times from the directions we received from the hotel), we were informed that the hotel had been overbooked and that our room had sold to someone else and there were no additional rooms available. After traveling internationally all day, we were very disappointed to not just be able to get in and relax, but instead had to go to another hotel, which took another hour and a half, to get settled, unload the car, drive two blocks to park and walk back to the hotel, and find food late at night.”

“I would not recommend this hotel. We arrived at 2:00 pm and were told our room wasn't ready. We were then guaranteed a 4:00 pm check-in, but the room was not ready and we were not checked in until 4:45 pm. Front desk staff seemed unconcerned, no manager in sight.”

“This hotel is horrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. The shape of the place is below any standard. They charge $22/day for parking and $10/day for internet access. No ramp for children stroller. Location is not near any attraction.”

“The lighting did not reach into the small tub/shower area making it very difficult to adequately clean oneself. The hotel restaurants /room service closed down the second day we were there so they could clean for Passover. No prior notice was given, so we could make other arraignments. Instead we had to eat outside during a cold snap at 8 pm with the flies, when we had planned on room service in our PJ's, very disappointing. To top it off the desk clerk tried correcting me when I called Passover peach-it's Hebrew name. The whole purpose of my vacation was a few days away before the holiday rush with thirty for dinner two nights in a row.”

• Mandatory resort fee. Internet fee. Valet parking fee.
