  • Free shuttle bus that took us from the airport to hotel, and from hotel to cruise port.

“This hotel was perfect for the short stay. Hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. Also, it was very convenient, as it is located approximately 2 miles from the Miami Airport. The only complaint that I have is about the pizza delivery menu that was slid under the door. We ordered a large cheese pizza from 1 of the 2 menus (that were slid under the door of our room), and when the pizza arrived, they said it was $17.95, but it was supposed to be $11.50.”

“This is a ok hotel nothing fancy. We just stayed 1 night after our cruise. Was ok for that reason but would not stay any longer. The shuttle was good.”

“A pizza delivery man knocked on our door on the 3rd floor at 3:30AM. He had the wrong room. I asked at the front desk about security and found it to be very lax, if there was any at all during the night. I filed a complaint with the front desk clerk who told me she would alert the manager but I don't know if he was told or not.”

  • Clean linen and convenient to the Miami Port.
  • Not customer focus. We could not get a shutter from the airport in a timely manner and could not get anyone to answer the phone at the hotel.

  • The common areas were shabby and the hall carpets dirty. Ice machine on one floor for a 16-floor hotel.

“The staff made me wait until 4 pm. to check in even though they were checking in their other customers. I got the feeling they were waiting to give me the least desirable of the remaining rooms. I was happy with the room. It was nice but did not face the ocean. However, the hall areas we shabby and dirty. The lobby was very large and appeared nice but when I looked closer the ceiling tiles over the check-in desk were dented and pushed up. Parts of the front of the desk were missing. It looked shabby. I don't think this hotel is 2.5 stars.”

  • The staff was fantastic and the food was fantastic, no really.
  • Everything was superb.

“The staff was very helpful. The service was impeccable and the room service correct and friendly and the food was a pleasant surprise. We were in Miami on business and never expected this treasure in an old Holiday Inn. It was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel and its staff placed us in a good mood for our meeting and its success. We thank them for this small gem in this hurried and unforgiving world.”

  • The free internet service was great. I was able to print out my boarding passes with no wait or hassle.
  • Repeated clogged toilet, used soap, noisy guests past midnight, cleaning not up to par.

“As we arrived a large budget rental truck was parked in the drop off area and the shuttle for Holiday Inn was there too. The driveway to unload was unusable. The truck was allowed to be parked there for the duration of our stay. Our toilet was clogged and someone came to fix it however, it was still clogged when we went to use it and we had to call the desk again for service. This delayed our leaving for our evening plans. The public toilet on the main floor was also clogged. Seems they have a plumbing problem. Guests across from us and next to us were allowing their young children to run around the halls crying and carrying on. They kept us awake from about 11 pm until 1:00 am. We had to be up by 4:00 am for an early flight. Our wake-up call was for 4 am and we weren't called until 4:15 am. Not an overall good experience for us. The cost was high for this kind of result.”

“Due to flight delays, I arrived at hotel later than expected (10 pm); dining room closed & room service longer available. I was disappointed by my room: dirty bathtub, likely the worst room in the hotel (1st floor, back of hotel, off of alley/garbage area, dark, creepy). I was however, pleased with staff response to my request for another room. I was moved to the 8th floor - room was clean and pleasant.”

  • Well, first to last night in this hotel, I had to sleep at parties going on.

“well two bad experience, 3 nights of party, all calling and complaining, no help, second, my mother in-law fell in the front of hotel on there step broke her hip, the manager say" well I cannot do nothing about that thats the law which says that all the steps should be the same dark color, while picking my mother in-law up, there were 3 other people that slipped on the same step, no sorry or nothing. We had to borrow from a guest who helped us a wheelchair. I am here in this hell hole for 3 more nights, having not heard from no one. I would never like to stay here again. Thank you.”

  • The staff at front desk was very helpful, bed was great.
  • Hotel very outdated rooms, lobby, restaurant, snacks and fruits in lobby had flies on them.

“This hotel is good if you want a clean bed to stay in. If I were staying for more than 3 nights I would spend more money for something on a higher grade. Don't expect much. Also if you rent a car from there, the guy is only there on limited time so if you miss him youre stuck.”

  • Some traffic noise because the hotel is wedged between busy roads but rooms are well insulated against noise.

  • Restaurant and staff were wonderful.
  • Our room was next to a door than opened and slammed shut all hours of the day and night.

“That room was so noisy, but we were so tired from our trip I didn't have the energy to complain...but, I was awakened several times by the slamming of a door in close proximity to the room. The room decor was dated. The room was dark and the window opened into a wall with another window that looked into our room so we kept the shades closed.”

“They check in took forever, no smile. We left without checking in and came back at around 11 pm to check in, I got into my room with my wife and 5 year old sun, the hallways were dirty so was the room. Anyways I didn't care that much, but when I entered into my room the room smelled like 20 day old ashtray. Disgustingly strong. I called reception right away and asked the man (possibly a manager) to move me to a none smoking room coz I cant sleep in a room with a heavy smell of cigarette, he said no he can not ( without even checking) he said. I said I understand the condition of the hotel is poor and iam not complaining, just the smoke wont let me sleep... he said there is nothing he can do. we sort of slept through the night and left the hotel early morning.”

  • Clean, good sized room, and close to the airport.
  • No soda vending machine and was forced to have guy bring luggage to room.

“I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was clean which is very important to me. It was right next to the rental car place. It was in a great location to catch an early flight in the morning. The only thing that I didn't like was that there was no soda machine. There was only a little shop to get soda which isn't always open. The other thing that I didn't like was that the bell hop forced his services on us. I could see you having to use him if it was a fancy hotel. Overall though it was great.”

  • Shuttle service from airport to hotel was horrible.

“The hotel told us that a shuttle runs from the airport to the hotel every thirty minutes. We waited for an hour and a half for the shuttle. Once at the hotel they had a shuttle/tour service that would take you anywhere you wanted in the Miami area for a fee. The hotel is not located near anything, except a strip club and a burger king. The hotel itself had large rooms but they were older with few amenities. We did like the free Wi-Fi internet.”

  • Appearance. This hotel needs to be updated (renovated).

“Good location, clean and we felt secure. The hotel is in need to major updating. Also we were disappointed that we didnt know about the time change until the next morning when we were leaving for our flight. Luckily I had my blackberry! A notice under our door would have been a great service to us - their notice was left on the front desk later that day after we checked-in.”
