  • Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was clean.
  • We were on 8th floor and nightclub was on 9th. Noise level was very loud on weekend.

“Overall, very pleasant. The weekend was a problem--the nightclub music could be heard in the parking lot and was very loud in our room and went until 3:00 am on Sat. night. There is construction going on and parking was rather difficult, but am sure that would improve with end of construction. The room was very clean and appearance was excellent. Access to major roads was very easy and the staff was very helpful.”

  • It was dirty/old and in a location where there were no decent nearby restaurants.

“Many small problems. Running toilet, construction early in the morning in the room above me, free morning breakfast was of poor quality. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful.”

  • This hotel was a disgusting mess. I would not recommend it at all. I left and did not stay there.
  • Smell, cleanliness, toilet over flowing in the lobby with waste in it, over all appearance.

“I would not recommend this hotel. Over all appearance was below standards, unclean, building itself was a mess. Outdated, restaurant has nothing to offer on the menu. Smelled bad, parking lot was filthy, to small, restaurant serves unfiltered water, smell of chlorine was strong, toilet in lobby over flowing with waste, news papers scattered all over the floor to absorb the water. I left and did not stay there, it was to disgusting and below standards.”

  • Check in staff was excellent - nice view from restaurant.
  • This was part of my vacation - I didn't like the maid knocking on the door at 8am, and jack hammering right above our heads at 9am.

“Clean, comfortable, good for a traveler that lost luggage (lots of toiletries in the room,) the room was older but still serviceable and pleasant enough - comfy bed.”

  • Convenient location.
  • Smelly, out of date room. Flakey internet. Under construction.

“Wait for a year or two from June '08 to stay at this hotel. It's under construction and they've made it painfully noticeable. Rooms smell, are outdated, and the AC is loud. Oh and something they don't mention at check in. There's no wireless connection in the old wing. When I called the front desk about the problem they put me on the phone couldn't fix the problem. When I called the front desk again, a different person said "oh, yes we have internet problems in the old wing. It doesn't work. We will move you to another room" (why I was not checked into that room in the first place?).”

  • Desk clerk (4AM) could not print my invoice.

“Checked in at 10PM; checked out at 4AM. Not easy to find. Lobby plain. Other facilities seemed unimpressive. After those first impressions, entered my room and was pleasantly surprised. Clean, spacious, flat screen TV. Very pleased. JT.”

  • The desk clerks were not very knowledgeable about the hotel or the services.

“The hotel looks as though the previous management ran it down. The current management seems to be on the right track with the up grades that are being done throughout the hotel. However, current management should keep in mind the view of construction material from the hotel window.”

  • The interior corridors were dark and seemed old.

“The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The overall appearance of the interior was old, but it was under remodeling so it may be improving. The restaurant was closed for remodeling so we had to eat in a meeting room. Overall the hotel was comfortable for 1 night near the airport, but I would not have wanted to stay longer.”

  • Water leak in room, sparking plugs, unhelpful staff.

“Difficult to navigate location of hotel. Restaurant closed. Room was small, in old part of building, carpet in entryway of room was saturated with water, TV plug sparked, pay-per-view movie shut off before end. Hotel staff said soggy carpet was "no problem" and would not re-run movie. Finally moved to another room (at 11pm) and had no charge for movie after much arguing. Horrible experience.”

  • Free shuttle bus that took us from the airport to hotel, and from hotel to cruise port.

“This hotel was perfect for the short stay. Hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. Also, it was very convenient, as it is located approximately 2 miles from the Miami Airport. The only complaint that I have is about the pizza delivery menu that was slid under the door. We ordered a large cheese pizza from 1 of the 2 menus (that were slid under the door of our room), and when the pizza arrived, they said it was $17.95, but it was supposed to be $11.50.”

“A pizza delivery man knocked on our door on the 3rd floor at 3:30AM. He had the wrong room. I asked at the front desk about security and found it to be very lax, if there was any at all during the night. I filed a complaint with the front desk clerk who told me she would alert the manager but I don't know if he was told or not.”

  • The common areas were shabby and the hall carpets dirty. Ice machine on one floor for a 16-floor hotel.

“The staff made me wait until 4 pm. to check in even though they were checking in their other customers. I got the feeling they were waiting to give me the least desirable of the remaining rooms. I was happy with the room. It was nice but did not face the ocean. However, the hall areas we shabby and dirty. The lobby was very large and appeared nice but when I looked closer the ceiling tiles over the check-in desk were dented and pushed up. Parts of the front of the desk were missing. It looked shabby. I don't think this hotel is 2.5 stars.”

  • The staff was fantastic and the food was fantastic, no really.
  • Everything was superb.

“The staff was very helpful. The service was impeccable and the room service correct and friendly and the food was a pleasant surprise. We were in Miami on business and never expected this treasure in an old Holiday Inn. It was a very pleasant surprise. The hotel and its staff placed us in a good mood for our meeting and its success. We thank them for this small gem in this hurried and unforgiving world.”

  • The free internet service was great. I was able to print out my boarding passes with no wait or hassle.
  • Repeated clogged toilet, used soap, noisy guests past midnight, cleaning not up to par.

“As we arrived a large budget rental truck was parked in the drop off area and the shuttle for Holiday Inn was there too. The driveway to unload was unusable. The truck was allowed to be parked there for the duration of our stay. Our toilet was clogged and someone came to fix it however, it was still clogged when we went to use it and we had to call the desk again for service. This delayed our leaving for our evening plans. The public toilet on the main floor was also clogged. Seems they have a plumbing problem. Guests across from us and next to us were allowing their young children to run around the halls crying and carrying on. They kept us awake from about 11 pm until 1:00 am. We had to be up by 4:00 am for an early flight. Our wake-up call was for 4 am and we weren't called until 4:15 am. Not an overall good experience for us. The cost was high for this kind of result.”

“Due to flight delays, I arrived at hotel later than expected (10 pm); dining room closed & room service longer available. I was disappointed by my room: dirty bathtub, likely the worst room in the hotel (1st floor, back of hotel, off of alley/garbage area, dark, creepy). I was however, pleased with staff response to my request for another room. I was moved to the 8th floor - room was clean and pleasant.”

  • Well, first to last night in this hotel, I had to sleep at parties going on.

“well two bad experience, 3 nights of party, all calling and complaining, no help, second, my mother in-law fell in the front of hotel on there step broke her hip, the manager say" well I cannot do nothing about that thats the law which says that all the steps should be the same dark color, while picking my mother in-law up, there were 3 other people that slipped on the same step, no sorry or nothing. We had to borrow from a guest who helped us a wheelchair. I am here in this hell hole for 3 more nights, having not heard from no one. I would never like to stay here again. Thank you.”

  • The staff at front desk was very helpful, bed was great.
  • Hotel very outdated rooms, lobby, restaurant, snacks and fruits in lobby had flies on them.

“This hotel is good if you want a clean bed to stay in. If I were staying for more than 3 nights I would spend more money for something on a higher grade. Don't expect much. Also if you rent a car from there, the guy is only there on limited time so if you miss him youre stuck.”
