• I liked the outstanding service that was provided. Employees were always there ready to help.
• We did not like the smell of the first room we checked into. The hotel was happy to change the room for us and it was much better.

“Do not like the air freshener that is sprayed in the rooms after cleaning. Smells like cat litter gross! Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable. Very friendly employees.”

• The price we received on Priceline.
• The room wasn't as clean - there were visible dirty finger marks on the door, dirt around the edge of the walls and hair in the tub.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that they had a computer available to print flight boarding passes. Very convenient to I-595.”

• The room was very nice and clean with a great bed.
• The location is more of a business traveler destination.

“The hotel and staff were very pleasant. The pool area is small and was busy with lots of children, so the area was a little messy. Although it was being cleaned. I was surprised at the number of families with children at the hotel, where it seemed more of a business traveler hotel.”

• Mini fridge.
• Pool was dirty and not heated, rooms were average.

“Lobby was beautiful, with palm trees and heavy decor, staff was nice and met all my needs. Room was average and ordinary for a 4 star. There was no bath robe, towels provided were old and frayed and I quickly exchanged them. Coffee service was not renewed and I had to hunt down a maid in the morning. The pool was dirty and definitely not heated. I was very disappointed and this was not a 4 star experience.”

• Location.
• No water pressure for shower.

“We were there only to sleep as we were attending the Miami Boat Show did not pursue changing to another room. We were very dissatisfied with the water pressure for the shower and the spray nozzle. I went into the ladies room in the lobby to find someone had gotten very sick and left it. We had to call maintenance to our room for our toilet as it was having flushing issues.”

• Convenient location, spacious and classy.

“The hotel was everything we hoped for and more. Very quiet and classy looking. We only stayed for one short night, as we were flying out early the next morning, so we didn't have time to experience the facility. However, it has a fine-dining restaurant on site.”

• The elevators were very fast and never had to wait .The computer booths with free internet!
• The hotel was wonderful itself and surrounding area but it was so far from everything. We spent a lot of money on taxi fare just to find a eating places.

“Its a beautiful hotel, everywhere was spotless. The restaurant was costly but had a star bucks so could at least grab a muffin and coffee. We needed to use taxi's to get anywhere and that added up.”

“Large hotel with a lot happening in the club on the weekend. Very nice room with comfortable sleeping. Quiet and nonsmoking. Free parking and close to shopping if you have a car.”

• The lobby was appealing.
• The rooms were had poor finishes and looked worn for the age of the property.

“This is a typical suburban 3 star hotel not really close to anything one would want to do in South FL. If you have business very close by and don't mind an average room, this place will do. Otherwise, go toward the beach or to the Hyatt a few miles west of here.”

• Location convenient to all major highways and the bed was extremely comfortable.

“I would highly recommend this hotel as comfortable, classy and immaculate if your looking for convenience/luxury. The restaurant was superb. The Yellow Tail snapper was fresh and delicious.”

• It was in an isolated location. To go anywhere, you had to get in your car and drive 15-20 minutes.

• Location, upscale.
• Nothing to walk to. You needed a car to get around.

“The beds were heavenly. The room was of average size but nicely appointed. The shower was perfect. The lobby made one feel as if in a deluxe facility. We knew the area having lived nearby so the location was ideal. However, we had a vehicle and could get around. If one were to vacation at the hotel, there were few amenities.”

“I have family that lives in Fort Lauderdale, so I went on vacation and stayed at this hotel. It has an ideal location; right by the Saw grass Mills Outlet mall and the beaches. Exactly where we all went on outings. I always find the cutest clothes in the Miami area; I love it. And Fort Lauderdale is such a great area, overall. This hotel has a friendly staff; great amenities, and beautiful dcor, and view. The rooms were very spacious and clean! I would definitely stay here again!”

“We were very impressed with this hotel. Everyone on the staff was very nice and helpful. The facilities were very clean and the location, while in a business park, was very convenient to the highway and eating establishments. I would definitely stay here in the future.”

“At every level, the staff was courteous and accommodating. The lobby and room had great appeal. We were able to check in early and asked for an hour extension for check-out and they accommodated us both times. The hotel was very attractive in appearance and would definitely stay again.”

• Decor, public rooms beautiful, close to main highway.
• Further from cruise port than I wanted, but not bad. Restaurant too expensive.

“Lovely hotel on nice grounds. Indoor public rooms have many large plants and pretty decor. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy on/off main route to Ft. Lauderdale, Airport, Cruise port about 20 minutes or less. Friendly staff. Expensive restaurant. Has pool and exercise room, but we did not get a chance to try them.”

• It is a Marriot Renaissance hotel.
• Older, but appropriate for the area.

“Older, less facilities than other top Marriot hotels, but still very nice for our visit. One particular hotel staff person was outstanding and went above the line for us. I love Marriot Jews and Renaissance hotels.”

• For such a large hotel, there was no entertainment.

“The hotel itself was very nice and the food was good, but the location was right off the highway with not a lot of atmosphere or entertainment nearby. Also there was no club at the hotel.”

• The decor in the rooms was very nice, modern yet traditional. The room we had felt spacious with taller ceilings. Near shopping.
• Check-in is at 4. We requested 3 and were told they would call when ready. We went back at 4:30 to check-in after not being called.

“We enjoyed the hotel but we were frustrated about not being able to check in when we needed to because the rooms weren't ready. Felt they could have found something to accommodate us. Sensed that they knew we had purchased at a discount so accommodating us was not a priority.”

• Good combination of friendly staff and accommodations.
• Would have liked a microwave in the room.

“Hotel is located very near a business park so appears to host predominately business travelers and people staying short term going on cruises. Easy access to I-595 which facilitates travel to Ft. Lauderdale beaches, Everglades, shopping, and other. Hotel rooms are not large, but sufficient. Hotel is well appointed as are the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Excellent restaurant. Pool and hot tub were fine, not exceptional. Hotel has a laundry room and basic fitness room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel with a reasonably good location for what we were interested in doing (beaches, everglades, shopping, etc).”

• The lobby and service was excellent.
• Beds are horrible, couldn't figure out blinds & room service was cold.

“The hotel seems elegant however the bed was as hard as a rock and we couldn't figure out the blinds situation so we had a 7AM wake up call from mother nature. It got so bright at 7AM. The service from all of the employees was wonderful. The actual room was not 4 stars. I have been much happier with rooms at the Scottish Inn than this place. Do not think it will make a romantic night!”

• It was very modern and clean.
• Hard to get to from I75, must come from east or south with out navigation.

“Nice and clean. Paid a fair price for time of year in South Florida. Out of the way a bit from I 75, I 95 is even longer, but for a few extra minutes and left and right turnes it will keep you OUT of Miami!”
