• Good combination of friendly staff and accommodations.
• Would have liked a microwave in the room.

“Hotel is located very near a business park so appears to host predominately business travelers and people staying short term going on cruises. Easy access to I-595 which facilitates travel to Ft. Lauderdale beaches, Everglades, shopping, and other. Hotel rooms are not large, but sufficient. Hotel is well appointed as are the rooms. The beds were very comfortable. Excellent restaurant. Pool and hot tub were fine, not exceptional. Hotel has a laundry room and basic fitness room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall a very nice hotel with a reasonably good location for what we were interested in doing (beaches, everglades, shopping, etc).”

• Location was ok, but not great for Fort Lauderdale.

• The lobby and service was excellent.
• Beds are horrible, couldn't figure out blinds & room service was cold.

“The hotel seems elegant however the bed was as hard as a rock and we couldn't figure out the blinds situation so we had a 7AM wake up call from mother nature. It got so bright at 7AM. The service from all of the employees was wonderful. The actual room was not 4 stars. I have been much happier with rooms at the Scottish Inn than this place. Do not think it will make a romantic night!”

• It was very modern and clean.
• Hard to get to from I75, must come from east or south with out navigation.

“Nice and clean. Paid a fair price for time of year in South Florida. Out of the way a bit from I 75, I 95 is even longer, but for a few extra minutes and left and right turnes it will keep you OUT of Miami!”

• The staff was unbelievable - so helpful, friendly - the best hotel staff I have ever encountered!
• Nothing!

“My sister and I had an amazing weekend at the renaissance plantation - the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating - they upgraded us wherever possible when they found out we were there for a weekend away from husbands and toddlers. The staff helped to make this Christmas present we gave each other so much more special! We will definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to fort Lauderdale!”

• It was fairly new so everything looked clean.
• It is off the beaten path of most things.

“It was a nice clean hotel. I had put the do not disturb sign on my door but was still woke up by housekeeping knocking on my door.”

“Excellent. Best part is that it was a totally smoke free hotel. Staff was fabulous, extremely clean and luxurious. Great piano player at the bar at night. Good food.”

• I liked the workout facility and pool and good staff.
• We had to stay in a handicapped accessible room and it didn't have any counter space.

• Just a first class operation from a to z.
• Dining prices are a bit steep.

“Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating including housekeeping. Hotel is maintained to the absolute highest degree. Free parking, free coffee, free chocolate, great workout room and a nice pool. The hotel is located in a very nice area of ft. Lauderdale with dining/shopping right around the corner. Across the board, the hotel beats the Westin (nearby) without effort. First class!”

“Nice new hotel. Very clean, pleasant staff and great workout room. It is in a nice office park, but not a good hotel for families or tourists. Awesome for the business traveler. Definitely 4 star when many 4 star hotels are really more like 3-1/2 stars.”

• I burned my arm at breakfast (steam) and they were great! They even paid for our room.
• The only thing was they had new hot plates and when I opened it I got burned from the steam - accidents happen so I don't blame the hotel!

“The only thing I said would be better was if it had a place to get donuts or a small store near by to get something for the kids in the morning because they do not like buffets. Even though I burned my arm on the steam from the breakfast buffet I was very impressed with the staff and the manager of the restaurant. All I wanted was ice and I got a cream that worked great, a very caring staff and when I went to check out the next day there were no room charges! In this world of too many lawsuits I understand why they did that, but I want to tell them that I appreciated the fact that they did this and although I would never have sued for that, now I will make a point to return to that hotel out of appreciation that they seem to have the clients best interest in mind. You may past this to them with my thanks and tell them they earned a regular customer!”

“this hotel is exceptional. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and well thought out. We enjoyed the pool and would love to go back. Outstanding people who appeared to enjoy their work. We stayed at six different hotels and resorts on this trip and this was the most impressive.”

• The room service was more expensive than other similar 4-star hotels.

“This was our third stay at this hotel and we enjoyed the experience. The staff is friendly, we felt safe on the property and the rooms were emasculate. I look forward to staying there again in the near future.”

• The hotel is beautifully decorated.
• The location is good, however outside is not quite complete.

“This hotel is strikingly beautiful in the common areas and the rooms are sparkling clean with fluffy beds and pillows. The location is excellent. However, the hotel is in an industrial park of sorts. Construction outside is worrisome during the drive to the front entrance. Entering the front door and experiencing the beauty of the lobby gave a complete sense of relief.”

• Right location, very nice, only stayed one night so did not have enough time to tell anything else.
• Nothing to not like, all was good.

“The only thing that I found was there was a large plastic bottle under the edge of the bed, also dust balls around the wall. The lobby was very clean, and the people were very nice. The decor was also very nice, the hotel grounds were nicely landscaped. very appealing.”

• It was located next to the freeway but this did not interfere in how quit the hotel was.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very willing to serve. The restaurant food was great as was the service. Definitely would recommend this quit hotel. It was close to everything you need.”

“We received an inferior room, we were staring at the roof. Room service food was bland even though it came from the same restaurants that had provided us with an excellent dinner two nights earlier. Staff was excellent, pool ok, no spa on premises, was disappointing.”

• The Jacuzzi was not working properly. No jets. Just hot water.

“Although expensive in my opinion, I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Very clean and very friendly. We arrived at 8:00 a.m. and they had a room for us even though we got there so early. Super establishment.”

“This is a quiet, lovely, off the beaten path hotel in the fort Lauderdale area (plantation) of Florida. The rooms are well kept and they have excellent beds. Close to the airport and not too far from the beaches.”

“The hotel is a great place for business travelers or anyone looking to stay in the Ft. Lauderdale area. Ample parking, very friendly and attentive staff, nice fitness center. The restaurant is nice too (breakfast buffet is good). Very nice amenities overall. My only suggestions are better pillows and beds. Also, add in-room safes.”
