• The beds were super comfortable and the rooms were extremely clean.
• The lobby smelled like fried food.

“I really enjoyed my stay here... great rooms, very clean, microwave and refrigerator in the room was an added plus. The staff was extremely helpful and the hotel's proximity to the hospital and the universities made it a great place to stay.”

• Continental breakfast awesome.
• Price--didn't get in until 2:00 a.m./liked to get discounted rate.

“The room was very clean, and the facility met our purposes. Wish I could have gotten there sooner to enjoy the room. My wife went to hospital across the way for surgery and the location was convenient. The price was a little more than I had hoped, but procrastination makes for higher prices.”

• Quiet comfortable room.
• Waffles stuck to waffle iron.

“A quiet comfortable room. The carpets obviously need an update showing age and wear. The waffle iron needed a non-stick coating. It would have been nice to have a computer for guests. The front desk employees were very courteous and helpful.”

• The room was neat and pleasantly decorated.
• The room had a musty smell, either from the air conditioning system. There was obvious water damage on the walls around the window.

“Nice area and easy to find. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Room was neat and pleasant to the eye. Disappointed with the musty smell of the room and the noisy air conditioning unit. Obvious water damage around the windows where the plaster was bubbled up on the wall. This was the first impression that we were met with when we opened the door.”

• Hotel staff was very helpful and friendly.
• Non smoking rooms were mixed in with smoking rooms. You had to walk through the Nasty smoky smell to get to your room & the elevator smelled like oil.

“Excellent hotel for access to the medical center. I would be nice if they would put all the smoking rooms on one end of the hallway or other. I didn't like walking through the smell of smoke on the way to my non smoking room. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful - excellent employees!”

• Loved the comfortable double bed.
• Staff ripped the beds up on day of departure while we were at breakfast.

“This hotel is ideally located for the event attended at Grayling on the Wake Forest University campus, just two miles away, minimal traffic. The complimentary breakfast area is cozy, charming, visually beautiful, and environmentally inviting (an extended outside area is always a plus). The comfort of the double bed is the primary reason I decided to write a review. My co-traveler, a member of the Epilepsy Board of Directors, was extremely pleased with the handicap bathroom which was very spacious. The traveler who lodges here will enjoy the stay.”
