• Nice and clean room.
• Allowing pets in the room!

“It appears this hotel offers long term living arrangements for non business travelers. I saw families with young children and their pet dogs on the premise and struck up a conversation with them. They have been at this location for more than a week, and they are not on vacation.”

• The room was well-appointed. The bed was so comfortable, we never wanted to leave!
• Parking lot lighting was a little dim.

• The friendliest motel staff that I have ever encountered.
• Nothing.

“I spend 30 to 50 nights a year in hotels around the state and region. I have never experienced a more friendly and helpful staff in my 20 years of traveling. Everyone was friendly and the room was exceptionally clean. I can think of no hotel in which I have stayed that I could recommend more.”

• Free hot breakfast.
• Hot breakfast was upstairs, no elevator and my daughter is in a wheel chair.

• The breakfast was very good!
• Older rooms, needed to be updated, air didn't work, and shower drained slow.

“When checking in they gave me the wrong room number and keys, someone was already in room. The room was ok but the kitchen cabinets very dark, need to be updated. Shower was very slow draining and it was a handicap room so the shower head was detachable and kept falling off the wall. The breakfast very good in the morning.”

• Clean and just what was needed.
• Not much to do in the area.

“The hotel was clean and not far from the highway. The hotel was in an area that is going through some changes. There is a restaurant that is closed across the street from the hotel. This hotel is on the end of an industrial area and the beginning of a residential area. It is about 7 miles from Winston Salem University and for the price a great buy.”

“We highly recommend this hotel for sport team groups. It is a very short distance to Wake Forest, reasonably priced and large rooms with complete kitchens. Fabulous experience all around.”

• The room was great!

“This hotel was everything that I could have asked for and more. The room was large, clean and in great shape. The hotel employees were also very friendly and I could not have been happier with my stay. I only wished that I had stayed there for more days!”

• Not many choices for eating out for dinner.

• The hotel staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were immaculate and quite large.
• There was not much within walking distance and only one restaurant nearby.

• Staff was very friendly and quick to assist in any way to make our stay a good one
• Some of the offered amenities were not woriking properly during our visit

“The hotel had a very friendly staff and wonderful rooms which made our vacation more homelike. However it was not as close as we had believed from the hotel review to the sites we had hoped to see. Everything ws very clean and the complimentary happy hour and breakfast were great fun, however there were some amenities which ere not functioing while we were staying there”

• the king sized bed was great and the room was appointed nicely.

“The check in staff was very courteous and helpful as they accomodated us for an early check-in. We had a special function to attend in the afternoon and needed the room cleaned up. The rooms were very well lit and was plenty large so that we didn't feel cramped. We were extremely pleased with the accomodations.”

“We felt like we were staying in a nice apartment complex instead of a hotel. The room was spacious and clean and included a welcome basket. We had a quiet relaxing atmosphere, unlike in many hotels. We would be happy to stay at the Residence Inn again.”

• nice staff
• we had to call and complain to the front desk several times for disturbances

“we had a room that seemed to have very thin walls. Our neighbors were very loud and we called and complained several times before something was done at 1:00 in the morning. The room was smoke free" but stunk like smoke. The staff in the morning were very nice. It was also in a horrible area, and not very clean."”

• The staff were excellent. The room was clean and large. The free breakfast made the overall stay even better.
• Bathroom a bit drab.

“I had never stayed at Residence in before and usually don't even bid on 2.5 star hotels. This stay has totally changed my opinion. I really liked the spaces, having a full kitchen, and the breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”

• It was incredibly clean and well-maintained. The complimentary hot breakfast was fantastic, along with the service.
• We were given a room at first that was occupied. After having carried our luggage up with us, we then had to reload and return to the front desk .

“Overall, our stay was very nice...the hotel was clean, even well-decorated and pretty:) The included breakfast was excellent. ”

“I had to attend a funeral last weekend and I can tell you after the funeral my husband and I were able to get away from the crowd in a very nice suite. I had a quality hotel in a very nice area in Winston Salem, NC. I enjoyed it. To bad we were there for a funeral and not entertainment.”

“The staff was great, friendly and accommodating. We were however expecting the penthouse suite with up and downstairs as we had our 10 year old daughter with us. Somehow it was not relayed that there were 2 adults and 1 child. At any rate, she was professional explaining the policy so we were not offended. We had a very pleasant stay and would stay at the same hotel the next time we visit.”
