  • The rooms were very nice.
  • Service was horrible!

“Nice rooms, but we had requested two queen beds and ended up with a king because they had nothing else! Teenage attitude behind the service desk didn't help the situation. No vending service in the hotel, you have to go to the lobby that was always congested and purchase stuff from the counter where you had to wait behind 5-10 people checking in and out. It was just very disorganized.”

  • Tearing down the hotel during our stay. Un livable

“I am not very picky and usually refrain from negative comments. However, this hotel was practically being torn down (they called it 'renovation') to make it into a Hyatt, which will probably be beautiful one day. Unfortunately, this was unlivable. Wife got plaster in her hair. No place to hold luggage and staff used racial remark behind my back.”

  • Close to the airport and easy access to the main freeways.
  • This was not a place I would recommend to clients who were doing business in Miami. It is not easy to navigate from the airport if you are tired.

“This hotel is under construction. It has graffiti all over the walls in the un observed areas. It is hard to find if you are tired after a long air ride. It does not currently have a single positive thing I would ever go to again even if they did complete the update on the facility.”

  • Very nice breakfast included with stay.
  • Hotel is under construction, noisy, dirty, and unpleasant.

“The hotel is undergoing major construction of the lobby and meeting areas. Construction noise was heard very early. They do not have any rooms with two double beds, only pull out sleep sofa.”

  • It was not Amerisuites hotel it was changed.
  • The new hotel was very nice Hampton Inn.

  • Not the same quality as the Ameri-Suite.

“We got rejected by this America Suites hotel when we showed up. They said they had no room, but they did put us into a Hampton Inn just around the corner. It was nice but we were looking forward to the Suite hotel. So my survey reflects the Hampton Inn, not the Suites hotel.”

  • Only offered 2 double beds, English is the 2nd language here.

  • It was close to the airport.
  • The room smelled of smoke and the sheets did not fit the bed.

“We were put on a smoking floor and we do not smoke. The room was a good size with a microwave and fridge but since we were only staying one night we did not need either. The sheets did not fit on the bed at all so that as soon as you turned over you were sleeping on a bare mattress. The wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom and the towels were of poor quality.”

  • The breakfast buffet was an unexpected pleasure.
  • My husband had a broken leg. Needed a wheelchair, they did not have one. Would not help me with the luggage to the room either. Very disappointed.

“The hotel itself was great. The staff was not the best. They could not seem to help us with any of our needs. Did not like that I had to go to another floor to get ice numerous times for my husbands broken leg. Also the soda vending machines had been removed on the floor that I went to so I had to hunt down another one.”

  • I needed a business center. I had to drive to fexex/kinkos to use computer.

“I liked the location of this hotel. It was close to the area I was working in Miami. The breakfast and fitness center were both nice. I was very unhappy with the fact that they didn't have a business center. I've stayed at other amerisuites that did. I had to drive to fedex/kinkos to use their business center.”

  • Bugs, the staff had much difficulty with the English Language.

“This hotel was in a great location and easy access to highways and the airport. However, there was only one sheet on my bed but I was too tired to ask for another one. After the first night I asked the desk to have the maid add another sheet to my bed and they didn't. I left for the beach and when we returned I went to the sink to make coffee there were a large number of little bugs I'd never seen. Went to the front desk to inform the clerk and they sent a clerk to look at them, they said they were sugar ants and that we could move to another room. I asked them to call the room and let us know what was available. They never called. We had a late night before check in and the morning of check out the front desk started calling my room at 8am asking for the wrong room which I kept telling them they were calling the wrong room. They kept calling until I took the phone off the hook. I went to the front desk to find out who kept calling and it was the clerk. I informed him that we had a long drive ahead of us and he really messed up my sleep pattern. As usual they only said sorry. We left tired but had to head for the highway home. I will not stay at this hotel again. The hotel was very disappointing as it was very necessary for me to get a good night sleep to be ready for the road trip. I will not recommend this hotel.”

  • The hotel needed lots of upgrades and the location was secluded.
  • The exercise machines did not function properly nor did the ice machines.

“I was disappointed with this hotel room for a couple of reasons. The staff did not let me know that the ice machines were not working, leading me to go to the 5th floor, then the 3rd then the 1st floor. Then the entrance keys werent working properly either and did not allow me access to the pool/hotel entrance. My room was not made one of my hotel stays. And the gym machines were not in proper working order.”

“We enjoyed our stay very much. If I could add anything, it would have been a business center to check e-mails, print and do a few business things we needed to do. The front desk staff faxed some papers for us, which was nice. The breakfast had a wide variety of foods to choose from. Clean, spacious rooms. Loved having refrigerator and microwave in room. Would stay again.”

  • The personnel were helpful and friendly. Although I was traveling, they provided outstanding help in getting around.
  • The laundry room was quite expensive.

“There was a power outage but the staff made every effort to assist us in maintaining food and comfort until the power returned. I loved the size of the bathroom and the comfort area provided in the room.”

“My husband and I stayed at this hotel as a stopover from Alaska to Nicaragua. The hotel was in the middle of renovations. Upon exiting the elevator to go to our room, the carpet was wrapped with plastic and there was sheet rock dust and construction debris about. Surprisingly our room was clean and quiet and no paint smell. The room was large and nice and had all of the amenities that we required - shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, coffee pot, plenty of light, and a nice view of the area. There was a free shuttle to and from the airport and the driver had a good sense of humor and told us funny stories. The complimentary breakfast was continentals but adequate - better than what you get on the airlines. We would stay again at this location.”

  • The staff was very friendly.
  • The hotel was under construction, so a complete mess and the TV didn't work.

“The hotel was inconvenient. I was never told that you had to call in order to get the "free" shuttle, so stood at the airport waiting b/c Iżd been told it would come "every 20-30 minutes". When I called, they then informed me that I had to call to get it. It took another 30 minutes to arrive. I got there, and was put in a room with a TV that was programmed to the radio, and the front desk didn't know how to fix it short of moving me. The place was a disaster b/c it was under construction and there was dust everywhere. They put me on a floor where construction was clearly going on (dust everywhere and equipment blocking the hallway), but luckily I was only there until early morning. The desk clerk called for a cab in the morning, but got the room number wrong, and I waited for 30 minutes for the cab - a $30 ride to the airport for just 7 miles! Nothing about this hotel was convenient, I didn't get to use the "free internet" (no computers available), the "free breakfast" (left too early) or the "free shuttle" in the morning (again, left too early. Not worth the money. Stay somewhere else.”

  • Quiet location, spacious rooms, convenient courtesy transport.
  • Remodeling, and some sloppy paint overflow, no business center with computer.

“About 15 minutes from MIA, in a more-business oriented area of town. Not a luxury resort, but the room was very adequate, with sitting area, desk, kitchenette. Great place to stay for a longer period and it suited my one-night stay, as well. Courtesy transport was great, convenient. Continental breakfast started at 6:00 a.m., too late for our departure. I'd definitely try to stay there again.”
