• Pet friendly and had fridge!
• Window could be open only 5", although it's designed and built as a sliding window to open fully. But, the management installed locks.

“Didn't like the fact that the window could
not be open fully. I and many others hate air condition. We need fresh air to rest after tiring business day.”

• Comfortable pillows and bed.
• The room smelled like there was a skunk in it. It was horrible. Reception did nothing about it.

“I would not recommend this hotel to anybody unless you like the smell of skunks.”

• Close to the venue we were visiting.
• Bathroom dirty; old food in refrigerator; Pool area filthy, pool not heated.

“Hallways smelled old and musty, occasionally we could smell smokers. The bathroom floor was dirty; old Chinese take-out still in the fridge; the pool area has not been cleaned for a while--empty beer bottles, bottle caps and cigarette butts on the pool deck.”

• Phone lines were down when trying to call on way there and Wi-Fi was slow.

• The rooms could have been cleaner.

“The hotel desk staff was nice. The room had food on the floor and the shower curtain was dirty, the exhaust fan in the restroom was falling. The phone had so much static you couldnt talk on it.”

• Recently renovated, great location.
• I would have liked a newspaper available.

“The rooms were clean and fresh, the location was exactly where I wanted to be, and the clerk at the desk was efficient, helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.”

• We ask for a non smoking room but we were still place in a smoking room in spite of my asthma condition we had to argue with the front desk for them to give us a non smoking room.

• New liquate across the road from this one.
• The smoking room was toxic; no service at night; dirty bed.

“This hotel is obviously busy with business travelers for the near by retailers. It was sold out the night we stayed although I watched the clerk give out an extra room for a mix up in reservation. We were given a smoking room that was toxic (we are non-smokers). Hotel was unable to accommodate our request and was "sold out". Our 2nd bed had hairs and Kleenex inside; front desk clerk was alone and couldn't do much about it - handed us sheets. Poor cleaning (blood or something smeared on room door).”

• Desk folks were extremely helpful and accommodating.
• Staff sitting in front of entrance chatting loudly late a night.

“It has most of the amenities of very costly hotels without the high cost, it's relatively clean and has good temp. Controls good TV programming in rooms and the a/c is fully adjustable to your own comfort levels. Easy parking and nice pool, gym and elevator.”

• Conveniently located to Dr's office and restaurants.
• Requested a smoking/double, recd nonsmoking/king.

“We are required to travel monthly for my son's doctor visit. I would stay at Laquinta again. It is not high priced, has everything required for a short stay. It is clean and staff is friendly.”

• It was dirty and reeked of pet odor and the staff was incompetent.

“The staff was incompetent (at check-in I was given the paperwork and room key of the guest who registered before me) and the hotel was dirty and reeked of pet odor .. I do not recommend this hotel.”

• Front desk staff was very helpful when I needed to change rooms.
• Air conditioning did not work.

“Nice hotel. Well located, especially if you're planning on going to Sawgrass Mills Mall or if you want to be close to the highway to move around the Fort Lauderdale area. Air conditioning didn't work well. They should consider getting better sheets. Front desk staff was very helpful when we wanted to switch from a room w/ 2 full beds to one with a king bed. I would recommend it if you're on traveling on a budget.”

“The hotel was nicely situated. Rooms were more than adequate. Clean. The staff was wonderful. Answered all our questions. Even though we were visiting relatives nearby, when we left them we went shopping in the Sawgrass Mall.”

• Not really dirty, but not real clean. Difficult getting near the coffee in the am - small eating area.

“Not real sure about the location, I walked in the mornings, had a little encounter with some scary folks under a bridge nearby. There is a store right in front of the hotel that had some "questionable" customers also. We were a little bit uncomfortable at times.”

• Room was well equipped, coffee, refrig, microwave, iron and board, hair dryer.
• Woman who set out food items at complimentary breakfast, made numerous comments which reflected poorly on her and the hotel. She was complaining.

“Well equipped and run hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Bed was firm and comfrotable. Only drawback is that hotel is a bit out of the way to Ft Lauderdale, but still easy to get to as it is right off I-595, one exit east of the intersection with I-75. I would stay there again.”
