- We got to store our luggage in the lobby storage.

- It was a quiet atmosphere.
- I was not pleased to see a towel on the floor with blood stains, Especially after a sign is posted in the bathroom to please reuse your towels.

- The room was very nice and private.
- Limited activities and food/drink choices.
“The hotel is close to the airport which is convenient and close to outside fast food chains - if that is what you are looking for. They painted the hallway on the floor we were in and it smelled, I am sure they don't do that all of the time but I wish they would have contacted me to let me know prior to painting. The staff was the best part - superior customer service.”

- The gym was great!
- The room had a moldy smell.
“This hotel has one of the best hotel gyms I have ever been seen. The staff overall was friendly. The breakfast buffet is overpriced, but that is typical of most hotels. The bed was comfortable, but the room had a weird moldy smell. Overall it was a great price for where we were staying.”

- Visually appealing, friendly staff, great pool area, comfortable beds.
- No ice or vending machines, cafe by the pool would be great.
“Really enjoyed our stay, we had a baby and an eight year old with us, the entire hotel is visually appealing, friendly staff, great pool area, comfortable beds. We had a king size in our room and slept better than at home. We would certainly use this hotel again on a future trip to Miami!”

- When we were given a room, we discovered that the bathroom was somehow overlooked and had not been done. We were immediately given a new room .
“The hotel was in a very good location for us as we were visiting our son at the University of Miami. The room we did get (2nd one) was very comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Did have to call for ice as there were no machines available. That was a bit of a pain. would have preferred machines to get my own ice when needed. overall, a very nice hotel.”

- The staff were tremendously accommodating and knowledgeable.
“Not expecting too much in the way of amenities due to the proximity of the airport, we were pleasantly surprised. We were welcomed with an easy early check-in and a late check-out the next aft. The professionalism abounds throughout the entire staff. We would definitely stay there again, without hesitation!”

“The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, but the location was just too far away. We spent almost $100 in one day just on taxi fares alone, commuting to downtown and south beach. It's also not close to the airport at all (about 20-25 minutes), but there was a free shuttle to the airport, so that was a relief.”

- Air conditioner was not properly working.
“Purpose of stay was layover between flights. Very satisfied. timing for shuttle from airport happened to work out fine (service is hourly so the wait could be long). Further from airport than expected but this did not present a problem. Several restaurants were walk able from restaurant. We went to Mac Grill which was a 5 minute walk. Overall, very good value.”

- No ice machine, had to call for ice, but they came in 5 minutes!

- Parking. They need another access into the hotel so you don't have to walk a mile with luggage.
“Friendly staff. Wish their room service menu was available longer at night especially if your plane gets in late and you need a meal. Didn't have a car and hailing a taxi again just to find some dinner at midnight was not going to happen. Ordered warm Turkey sandwich and it came cold as ice. The room is very spacious and the bed is perfect. Even though I had a sign on my door to not wake me and check out wasn't until noon, the cleaning staff was trying to get me out of there by 10 am.”

- Common areas poorly or not maintained. Trash in ponds and waterfall.
“The room was the average room that you would find in a 2-3 star hotel (nothing fancy about it). All the ponds and waterfall had trash that had been there for at least 6 months (given the amount of mold surrounding bottles and plastic bags floating on it, in addition to all the weed and fallen palm tree branches). The buildings are very old and need maintenance. I requested a refrigerator to be delivered to my room (I have a 5 months old baby and needed to store all her food in a cold place) and that never happened, even though I called twice for it! The bar at the pool area is understaffed. It took me 20 minutes to get someone to take my order, and then she forgot about it. After 45 minutes I talked to the manager and I finally got my drinks (free). The staff is very courteous, and friendly. Even though the parking lot is far away from the rooms there is a lot of transportation that will take you to your car, and they are very friendly as well. Oh, I almost forgot, given that I never got the refrigerator delivered I decided to use the cooler that I was carrying with me, the bad thing. There was only one ice machine in the opposite side of the building, ground floor (I was on third floor).”

“I got sick since the room was so cold, the floor was damp and so was the comforter. It was the worst stay ever, the fridge wasn't cold and 2 sodas and a JW Black cost $22 out of the lukewarm fridge. No washcloths left after the first night, soap and shampoo left from last guest on top of towels on rack in shower.”

- Decor was really nice. No expense spared.
“The room was small with a big bed in it. It has a great fixtures. But I would prefer more space for comfort than marble floors in the bathroom. I was cramped. The prices in the restaurant was too high. And the breakfast was not a good selection. Good on the eyes though!”

- When we called to know if there was a shuttle from the hotel to the port of Miami they said there was one but forgot to say that we had to find one.

- The bed and linens were of great quality. Club level amenities were a nice touch.
- On two separate occasions I asked for help from the concierge and they said they would call back and never did.
“The lobby was elegant and inviting in a non-pretentious way. The room was of the high level of other Intercontinental Hotels I have visited. The club level free breakfast was more than just coffee and muffins which was nice. The pool looked nice but not incredibly inviting to just hang out by as there were outdoor dining tables very close by and business lunches taking place. Free parking was great. Location made easy access for everywhere I needed to go. I would go back.”

“No electricity to appliances in bathroom had to replace blow dryer. Shower curtain smelled of not being dry properly. Door lock mechanism broke and was trapped in room, could not get out. Staff was helpful but too many things wrong with room. Should not have rented until fixed. Electrical problem was known.”

- Great location near the Doral Golf Club where I was working.
- They charged $9.95 for internet access. Should be free for a 4 star hotel.
“The room was large and comfortable with good pillows. The sink drain was slow to empty, but that was a minor inconvenience. No free breakfast, so I can't comment on the quality of the food and no free newspaper which again for a 4-star hotel is being a little on the cheap side.”

- Great rooms, beautiful setting and service.
- Stopped Airport pickup service at 1000pm, excluding late arrival guests.
“I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have always enjoyed the experience, comfort, upscale setting and beautiful rooms offered. Nearby Doral resort, and actually is a better product. Freeway access better than all other hotels in the Doral area, ample and adequate dining on same street as hotel.”

- Excellent decor. Close to airport.
- Poor service. Hotel is understaffed.
