• Tony Romas restaurant is 5 minute walk away.
• Unattractive property and location.

“Warning: this hotel is far away from the airport. This is a basic 1 star hotel efficiency. The room was clean enough. But old appliances and cheaply renovated bathroom. The rug furniture seemed like it was from the 80s. I had to walk up one flight of stairs with my heavy luggage. No vending machines. Small pool.”

“After requesting a double bed because I had two children and my wife with me, they overcharged me another fee to have a double bed. After all, I ended up paying for a 2 star hotel as if it was a 5 star hotel. Not pleased with these people. Disappointed.”

• The kitchenette was nice even though we did not use it. For a longer stay it would have been perfect to prepare meals and save money.
• The tub was leaking so every time someone showered the bathroom floor would get soaked.

“This is a decent hotel for the price. The problem we had was that we booked 2 rooms, one for 2 adults and the other for 2 adults and 2 children. We were given 2 rooms with a queen bed, but luckily the front desk clerk was nice enough to help us get a room with double beds.”

• It felt clean and liked the use of the appliances.
• Not a comfortable bed. The toilet leaked and you visibly see water damage in the bathroom.

“Hotel help was friendly and I liked the area. Shops were down the road and the expressway was a few blocks from hotel. The airplanes from the airport fly low to land at airport and could hear airplanes land throughout the night.”

• The health level is zero, I was sick all the time I was there.

“Your housekeeping staff is not regular and predictable and the room is not healthy. I got sick after I moved in and stayed that way till I moved out.”

• The room was clean and had a large fridge which was nice.
• I had to wait 30 minutes for key. They gave wrong key to wrong room twice.

“Its great to have a room that was clean and stocked with clean utensils and plates. it even had two cooking pots. it would be great for a long stay. Unfortunately, the front desk closing so early caused problems since I was not the only one who had a none working key.”

• Cab fare was double that of what hotel said, not convenient to airport, cost to hotel exceeded room cost, no shampoo.

“Hotel is pleasant. Dining is limited to two restaurants within walking distance. Not easily accessible to airport, should not be listed in airport area or should have shuttle.”

“The first 2 nights I was in the smaller room. I do not like this room. The larger room was fine, but for a 2 star hotel, I wouldn't have expected the small room to be so cramped.”

• Large rooms, clean pool, friendly staff.
• Breakfast was not served on announced time, no ice-machine.

“It is a good motel with clean, large rooms. There were 2 double beds and a sofa, a built-on table with 2 chairs. We had a kitchenette that included a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a two-burner stove. Bathroom with tub is ok, but not too spacious. Nice pool. Guest Laundromats available. No ice-machine, breakfast not available at announced time.”

• Staff was extremely accommodating and friendly.
• Had a bit too much of the air freshener smell.

“I wanted a hotel close to the airport since I was arriving a day before a conference began at another hotel. The conference hotel cost twice the price and came no where near the quality of service. They probably were very similar in terms of amenities (the conference hotel did have a pool), but nothing to double the price. I was extremely pleased with the location, the quality and the price of the homestead Miami airport hotel. Getting from the airport was a bit of a challenge as the shuttle service didn't know the location, and cabs seemed to miss it as well. They seem to have a van, but wasn't sure whether it was for the airport or some other service.”

• Room comfortable, clean and nice to have a kitchen.
• Waited over an hour for shuttle from airport, nearby rooms noisy, no pots or pans in kitchen, continental breakfast bare minimum.

“The hotel itself was clean and pleasant and staff were polite and helpful. But the amenities left something to be desired. The shuttle from the airport took over an hour to pick me up-I had to call twice. The kitchen in the room was great but there were no pots or pans to cook with or heat anything in. The continental breakfast was minimal.”

“I had made this reservation concurrent with another 2 weeks prior. On the first visit my van was broken into in the parking lot because the hotel refuses to have any kind of security despite the fact the police department has asked them to. The staff was unconcerned about that event, and even refused to locate my room for this subsequent reservation where I could keep a visual look out on my vehicle. On the first visit my room was relatively clean, but on this visit the room was filthy. There was food on the walls in the kitchen and the bed linens had not been changed. ”

• Sergio at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Cleaner than most fl hotels.
• Security.

“There was no security. Our van was broken into while parked under a light close to the hotel and 9,000 of my artwork stolen. A second van was also burglarized there while we were staying. The Miami springs police officer said incidents like this happen frequently there and the hotels on this street have been requested to install cameras and have security but they have not. I had traveled all the way from Colorado for art shows and this is a financial disaster for me.”

• Heavy smoke smells in non-smoking areas, tub was not 100%functioNAl.

“Hotel was cleaner than the Howard Johnson¿s hotel and spa a few miles away at a better rate. Needs a few touch-ups, i.e. Tub drain did not hold water that well. But over all it was not too bad.”

“Even though it's literally across the street from the airport, I only heard 3 jets during my 2-night stay and none after 10pm. Walls are thin so when my neighbor couldn't sleep at 3am, neither could I once he turned on his TV. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots pans dishes and complete with fridge and dishwasher. They give you dishwasher soap but not shampoo, which I thought strange. Since it's an extended stay, you have to request housekeeping which costs extra (including removing garbage), but they are very clear that they don't wash dishes. Very clean and roomy, I had two double beds and a sofa bed. All faucets dripped which bothered me, but I¿m a light sleeper. All in all, good value for the price paid.”

“Only one restaurant nearby - Chinese, two blocks away. Neighborhood looks seedy. No computer for public use. Shuttle doesn't start until 7 am and breakfast at six thirty. First room they gave was smoking. Asked for another and got one with malfunctioning ac. No luggage storage room in lobby for bags had to take all six bags to second floor room. Of time direct with hotel.”

• I liked the kitchen area. Having a fringe was nice. We were able to get some snacks for the evening and keep them fresh.
• The staff at check in was not as flexible.

“We arrived at the hotel an hour or so before the 3pm check in. We were extremely exhausted and wanted to Nap before our 5pm dinner reservations. However this hotel was unable to allow that. They seemed pretty stern on this. It was not a big deal since it was our error in arriving ahead of schedule, but it was a little dishearten when no accommodations could be made. The room was clean and the kitchen area was very useful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would still recommend the hotel, especially for longer stays.”

• Convenient to airport, nice staff.
• Non-smoking room smelled like smoke, sparse amenities.

“A facility fine for a quick one-night stay, but wouldn't spend longer with family/children. Amenities were sparse, but rooms were just fine. Our non-smoking room really stunk of smoke, but other than that, our few hours there sleeping were quiet and fine.”

• Advertises airport location without airport shuttle.
• No airport transportation.

“Desk attendant inefficient. Told me my reservation was for a different day than the date I¿d reserved. Said the hotel was 30 minutes from the airport, when in fact, it was 15 or 20 minutes in rush hour traffic. Not convenient to many restaurants walking. Significant increase in cost to customer by having to use a cab to get to the hotel. Not business-traveler friendly.”

“To be designated an airport hotel, the facility should have transportation. Taxi cost me more than the hotel room (if you let me designate the need for transportation, I would have offered more and you would have made more.) No food available early in the day. All that was offered was a room with minimal service.”

Next, one is welcomed by a staff which is always friendly and helpful. (I¿ve stayed at this hotel before). “Fire alarm kept beeping for the first 3 days of stay, room not quite clean. Upon arrival one night there were 4 cop cars outside, inconvenient location to downtown/beach, but close to airport. Wireless Internet available. Not enough hot water to take a bath, no hair dryer.”

• I really dio not have any thing bad to say about this particular hotel.I was very pleased

“I have to say I was very pleased w/ the pool being right by our room. Also w/they having accomadations for my daughter when they did not know she was coming, and made quick accomadations for that. the sofa bed. Washing faciliies right there.I would lve to stay here again or a partner hotel like that.Especially as I am coming down on Sept-21 for (2) nights would love to be in a sister hotel w/such accomadations for complimentary it would be in the Miami surrounding area. It would be very appreciated. I am also referring this property to my clients!”

• the location is great if you are traveling to all parts of Miami.
• The Beds in my room needed to be replaced, sit on the edge and you are on the floor.

“Great location to get to all parts of Miami. Hotel Parking Lot is shared with about 40 large utility trucks, making parking a little frustrating, but yes there's enough parking. Swimming Pool is fine, sign posted says 9-9pm but is used after hours by many guests without a problem. Hotel Staff is friendly. No room service without additional charge unless you stay 7 days then they'll clean your room once. Beware of snack, soda, and Juice prices at local gas stations especially Citgo just south of Hotel. There's a 24 hour Wal-mart just about 15-20 blocks south on Galloway Rd, great for most of your needs. I stayed 9 days and put up with landscaping service getting crap all over car, yeah they used a blower to clean it off but if your sensitive about your car careful, the 2nd floor walkway was being cleaned with who knows what and was swiped out landing on car, employee then rinsed my car with hose since I witnessed the whole thing.”
