“I had made this reservation concurrent with another 2 weeks prior. On the first visit my van was broken into in the parking lot because the hotel refuses to have any kind of security despite the fact the police department has asked them to. The staff was unconcerned about that event, and even refused to locate my room for this subsequent reservation where I could keep a visual look out on my vehicle. On the first visit my room was relatively clean, but on this visit the room was filthy. There was food on the walls in the kitchen and the bed linens had not been changed. ” Feb 27, 2007 by
Jean from Westerly, RI
“Filthy, poor hotel, you should be ashamed to even offer this to anyone. Never would I let my pets stay here.” Feb 20, 2007 by
Frank from Ny, NY
“Great for the business traveler.” Feb 15, 2007 by
Deb from Rollinsville, CO
“There was no security. Our van was broken into while parked under a light close to the hotel and 9,000 of my artwork stolen. A second van was also burglarized there while we were staying. The Miami springs police officer said incidents like this happen frequently there and the hotels on this street have been requested to install cameras and have security but they have not. I had traveled all the way from Colorado for art shows and this is a financial disaster for me.” Feb 13, 2007 by
Scott from Ferndale, MI
“Everything was fine.” Feb 6, 2007 by
Scott from Sarasota, FL
“Hotel was cleaner than the Howard Johnsonżs hotel and spa a few miles away at a better rate. Needs a few touch-ups, i.e. Tub drain did not hold water that well. But over all it was not too bad.” Feb 2, 2007 by
Cathy from Lindenhurst, IL
“Even though it's literally across the street from the airport, I only heard 3 jets during my 2-night stay and none after 10pm. Walls are thin so when my neighbor couldn't sleep at 3am, neither could I once he turned on his TV. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots pans dishes and complete with fridge and dishwasher. They give you dishwasher soap but not shampoo, which I thought strange. Since it's an extended stay, you have to request housekeeping which costs extra (including removing garbage), but they are very clear that they don't wash dishes. Very clean and roomy, I had two double beds and a sofa bed. All faucets dripped which bothered me, but Iżm a light sleeper. All in all, good value for the price paid.” Jan 29, 2007 by
Gary from Colville, WA
“Only one restaurant nearby - Chinese, two blocks away. Neighborhood looks seedy. No computer for public use. Shuttle doesn't start until 7 am and breakfast at six thirty. First room they gave was smoking. Asked for another and got one with malfunctioning ac. No luggage storage room in lobby for bags had to take all six bags to second floor room. Of time direct with hotel.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Clarence from Arcadia, FL
“The hotel was close to restaurants, airport, main roads, but quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.” Jan 19, 2007 by
Bambi from Tyler, TX
“We arrived at the hotel an hour or so before the 3pm check in. We were extremely exhausted and wanted to Nap before our 5pm dinner reservations. However this hotel was unable to allow that. They seemed pretty stern on this. It was not a big deal since it was our error in arriving ahead of schedule, but it was a little dishearten when no accommodations could be made. The room was clean and the kitchen area was very useful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would still recommend the hotel, especially for longer stays.” Jan 18, 2007 by
Ashley from Dallas, TX
“Decent hotel for the price. Location kind of a pain for airport.” Jan 17, 2007 by
Pang from El Paso, TX
“Bad very bad.” Jan 16, 2007 by
Lisa from Framingham, MA
“A facility fine for a quick one-night stay, but wouldn't spend longer with family/children. Amenities were sparse, but rooms were just fine. Our non-smoking room really stunk of smoke, but other than that, our few hours there sleeping were quiet and fine.” Jan 13, 2007 by
Wayne from Chicago, IL
“Filthy accommodations. Water glasses were dirty and unwashed. Hair on the pillowcase. No shampoo in the shower. ” Jan 12, 2007 by
Philip from Muncie, IN
“Had a little difficulty finding it. Good restaurants in the area.” Jan 6, 2007 by
Paul from Hopkinsville, KY
“Overall the hotel was very good. The accommodations were as expected and the price was great compared to others in the area. I would stay at any homestead studio suites again.” Jan 6, 2007 by
Christina from St. Clair Shores, MI
“It was nice for the price.” Jan 5, 2007 by
Wayne from Pace, FL
“Desk attendant inefficient. Told me my reservation was for a different day than the date Iżd reserved. Said the hotel was 30 minutes from the airport, when in fact, it was 15 or 20 minutes in rush hour traffic. Not convenient to many restaurants walking. Significant increase in cost to customer by having to use a cab to get to the hotel. Not business-traveler friendly.” Jan 4, 2007 by
John from Estes Park, CO
“To be designated an airport hotel, the facility should have transportation. Taxi cost me more than the hotel room (if you let me designate the need for transportation, I would have offered more and you would have made more.) No food available early in the day. All that was offered was a room with minimal service.” Dec 13, 2006 by
Ruth from Rio Rico, AZ
“Arriving at this hotel, one immediately begins to relax in this paradisiacal setting with well-groomed trees and colorful shrubs. Next, one is welcomed by a staff which is always friendly and helpful. (Iżve stayed at this hotel before). The total cleanliness of the facility inside and out and the amenities included provide a fine measure of comfort.” Nov 3, 2006 by
Jose from Miami, FL
“It should be better cleaned.” Oct 31, 2006 by
Jody from Tampa, FL
“Fire alarm kept beeping for the first 3 days of stay, room not quite clean. Upon arrival one night there were 4 cop cars outside, inconvenient location to downtown/beach, but close to airport. Wireless Internet available. Not enough hot water to take a bath, no hair dryer.” Oct 23, 2006 by
John from Helena, AL
“The hotel was sufficient for a business trip. I would definitely return to this hotel for future business trips. The room amenities are superb for extended stays, having a full size fridge, range, and cookware. The hotel is convenient to dining and seemed reasonably safe.” Oct 17, 2006 by
Rick from Oneco, FL
“The hotel lacks wireless internet free or paid, in the rooms, which in 2006 is a major hindrance. Only internet was in the lobby which closes at 11PM.” Sep 7, 2006 by
Racquel from Aberdeen, MD
“I have to say I was very pleased w/ the pool being right by our room. Also w/they having accomadations for my daughter when they did not know she was coming, and made quick accomadations for that. the sofa bed. Washing faciliies right there.I would lve to stay here again or a partner hotel like that.Especially as I am coming down on Sept-21 for (2) nights would love to be in a sister hotel w/such accomadations for complimentary it would be in the Miami surrounding area. It would be very appreciated. I am also referring this property to my clients!” Aug 16, 2006 by
Gretell from Cape Coral, FL
“Don't stay here! They don't clean the rooms--the hotel is filthy. I would not stay here again!” Aug 8, 2006 by
Jorge from N.Riverside, IL
“Great location to get to all parts of Miami. Hotel Parking Lot is shared with about 40 large utility trucks, making parking a little frustrating, but yes there's enough parking. Swimming Pool is fine, sign posted says 9-9pm but is used after hours by many guests without a problem. Hotel Staff is friendly. No room service without additional charge unless you stay 7 days then they'll clean your room once. Beware of snack, soda, and Juice prices at local gas stations especially Citgo just south of Hotel. There's a 24 hour Wal-mart just about 15-20 blocks south on Galloway Rd, great for most of your needs. I stayed 9 days and put up with landscaping service getting crap all over car, yeah they used a blower to clean it off but if your sensitive about your car careful, the 2nd floor walkway was being cleaned with who knows what and was swiped out landing on car, employee then rinsed my car with hose since I witnessed the whole thing.” Aug 3, 2006 by
Eddi from Atlanta, GA
“Hotel is nice and it was quiet. Well kept and clean, however there were ANTS in the sink area. I saw two in the morning. Not really that bothersome.” Aug 1, 2006 by
Kamal from San Antonio, TX
“Thanks For the stay for the couple of days. but not looking forward to come back to that hotel again. Prior to that Studio Plus was Lot better on 25th St, Miami, FL.” Jul 25, 2006 by
Mike from Naples, FL
“You should move this to a one star or less. Not worth the $38.00. Pay another $12.00 and move up to a 3 star.” Jul 22, 2006 by
Mike F. from Naples, FL
“/First room had a leak from the room above, when the floor was wet you could tell it was dirty as my feet left mud imprints on the floor. The next room the wood from the bathroom door was rotted off and the door was falling apart. The toilet paper holder was broken from the wall. Maybe this should be rated as a 1 star property.” Jul 18, 2006 by
Dave from Lithia Springs, GA
“Nice hotel. ” Jul 17, 2006 by
Christian from Atlanta, GA
“The people is very friendly and the rooms are ok.” Jul 11, 2006 by
Jaime from Minneapolis, MN
“We arrived at the hotel during a storm very late at night. I called the hotel prior to our arrival to let them know that we would be arriving very late at night. I was instructed to use the phone next to the office door since the office would be closed after 11pm. We arrived at the hotel during a storm and the phone didn't work. The employee at the hotel put a note on the phone saying, "please go around to the laundry room in the back across from the pool." This is fine except that this employee did not mark the laundry room at all so it was impossible to find it. We walked around the hotel for a half hour before we finally found the laundry room so that we could check in to our room. Since we didn't get to the room until 2am and we had a flight early the next morning, we spent approximately 6 or 7 hours total. In any case, the handling of the phone not working was very poor causing us great frustration as well as another customer who was also trying to check in and subsequently left.” Jul 6, 2006 by
Miladys from Clermont, FL
“I thought the hotel would of been great. When I got to the room it wasn't as clean as I though it should be. I was there for a while and the people in the room next door went outside and started to drink beer and become loud. The were also performing mechanic work in the parking lot outside the room Making it very undesirable. The men were dirty and without shirts. I was there alone with my children and felt very unsafe. The hotel staff witnesses the mechanic work and drinking of beer and told these people nothing. Leaving me to believe that this is not a family friendly hotel. I would no recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice, clean, friendly hotel. Just to add I left the hotel that same night without getting my money. ” Jul 4, 2006 by
Brett from Lubbock, TX
“Flight got in late past midnight went to hotel to check in no one was there tried the courtesy phone but no one would come to check me in had to find another hotel. Do not recommend this hotel to any one who comes in late. You will have to find another place to stay.” Jun 20, 2006 by
Roly from Miami, FL

Wanda from Durham, NC
“It did not include airport transportation and the cab fare was 25$ one way. ” Apr 21, 2006 by
Mari A. from Jacksonville, FL
“I arrived at the hotel around midnight I was lost I ask the security officer outside if this was the correct address she said yes and she gave me a room. In the morning I check out and I ended paying for the room again.” Apr 20, 2006 by
Challu from Livonia, MI
“Good location. The day we reached there, I requested for a room on the second floor and was told there weren't any available. I was assigned room 104. Opened the room and noticed that the bed was unmade. Room wasn't cleaned at all. Went back to the desk and told the person at the desk that the room wasn't cleaned. He didn't believe me and went there to check it personally! Then, he gives me a key to a new room (room 272). On the second floor! And that was supposedly "not available" five minutes ago!” Apr 13, 2006 by
Bernie from Tucker, GA
“As I stated above, if a hotel is in a airport area it should have transportation. I did not find out until I called the hotel from the airport. It cost me an extra $50 to stay at this hotel. The room smelled and was dirty, it even appeared that the bed sheets had not been changed from the last visitor. I slept on top of the comforter. I would never recommend this hotel. This was designated a 2 star hotel, I would give it a 0. ” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Apr 9, 2006 by
