“Don't stay here if you have to be on time. Office did not open in morning on time. Shuttle did not start running on time. I ended up having to call a taxi and missed my flight and all connections.” Sep 13, 2008 by
Lamech from Miami, FL
“I plan on staying there again tomorrow, for the entire week this time.” Aug 3, 2008 by
Arthur from Las Vegas, NV
“Your typical extended stay type of hotel. However, we had to ask for glasses, coffee, etc which should have already been in room at time of check-in.” Jul 16, 2008 by
Chaquita from Miami, FL
“My stay at the suite was very nice, it was just like I was home, I really enjoyed everything and they made my stay at Homestead suites more comfortable than ever, thanks for everything.” Jul 11, 2008 by
Therese from Lowell, MA
“Overall this hotel met our expectations.” Jul 9, 2008 by
Karen from Stockbridge, GA
“This is a good place for Business Traveler's since it's accommodated with a small kitchen, a small living room space area, microwave & stove.” Jul 8, 2008 by
Alicia from Miami, FL
“I checked into this hotel and my stay started off as a nightmare. The night deskman was extremely rude and also would not give me a non-smoking room. There were also other guests at the front complaining of their smoking rooms. The room smelled like the inside of an ashtray, the smoke smell was so strong I went to Walgreen's at night after traveling all day to buy Lysol and a Glade Plug In. After hours, this did not work. I have had to stay in other smoking rooms before, but this one felt like you literally had your nose constantly in an ash tray. Not even opening the window helped. At that time, the night deskman attempted to scold me like a child. I was in disbelief! Either way, he was not accommodating and not friendly at all. I was the one moving my things at 3 am on the other side of the hotel with red eyes and a runny nose. This was the worse customer service I have ever received at a hotel in my life and I'm a frequent business traveler. I would expect more from one of those charge by the hour roach motels. Needless to say, after that night I made it so I never had to go to the desk at night. The women that were at the desk in the morning were extremely nice and helpful in every way possible. Also, the room that I was moved to was very decent and clean with a separate bedroom/living room. The pool was small and very nice, especially in comparison to the hotel next door. There was hardly anyone at the pool, but next door was always full of families. The workout room was warm and closet sized with only 2 machines. I ran at the park down the street instead. very nice neighborhood behind the hotel with lots of runners, golfers, bikers. I would definitely stay here again, but the night manage.” Jul 3, 2008 by
Rodmech from Miami, FL
“I would have to say my hotel experience at this hotel wasn't up to part. First and foremost when we were entering the building to get to our room there was an odor. That odor was the garbage. The garbage can was over flowing with trash. It was hot a humid when we were walking up the stairs. The room was a nice size. But the only down fall was the AC wasn't working properly.” Jun 29, 2008 by
Jerry from Merritt Island, FL
“Ok for the price.” Jun 28, 2008 by
Frank from Cambridge, MA
“It's not worth my time.” May 29, 2008 by
Marc from Lake Mary, FL
“Decent Hotel in Miami area near Airport, in comparatively good area. Good for business travel. Hotel charges 4.95 per stay (doesn't matter how long) for internet access. They said property was estimated at 7 years old, effective age looked like about 2, so this is a well maintained property for this hotel system which doesn't always get it right.” May 27, 2008 by
Madeleine from Norfolk, VA
“Hotel would be fine for a family vacation but the roaches situation has to be corrected. I mentioned it at the desk when I checked out.” Apr 17, 2008 by
Kathleen from Clermont, FL
“Perfect. Simple, clean, convenient.” Apr 11, 2008 by
Nick from New York, NY
“Good for business travelers or people on long lay-over at MIA airport.” Feb 2, 2008 by
Marvin from Miami, FL
“The hotel is located in a safe neighborhood, and they treat their guests very nice. The only thing that was missing is a hotel bar restaurant.” Jan 24, 2008 by
Anthony from Fayetteville, GA
“Clean hotel with kitchen at a good price.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Eric from Germantown, MD
“Good price and great location. More than adequate as a place to hang your hat while you take in the sights. Good value.” Jan 3, 2008 by
Jiawanjun from Rolla, MO
“We reserved two rooms, but they only give us one clean room. And they asked us to clean another room by ourselves! We went there at noon, but we settled down until 3am the next day because the service was so bad!” Dec 19, 2007 by
Daniel from Newton, NJ
“The great thing was the affordability and savings I got through. The staff was extremely attentive and helpful, and the room was very clean. The neighborhood is also as good as Miami Dade can get; the police station is a half mile down the road, so it's pretty safe. However, I had a room in front of the main highway and it was extremely noisy during the day. I am working on a night shift schedule, and the traffic noise is incomprehensible. The worst part is that it's also underneath the final approach to Miami international airport, one of the busiest airports in the world, with an average of one plane landing every three minutes. So if you can't take noise, I can't recommend this hotel. One other item; the staff will occasionally poke in the room when you're not around; I frequently had the settings changed on my fan when I returned from work, so I know they are inspecting the room, possibly for drugs or illegal activity. If privacy is a concern, you will need to consider that issue.” Dec 15, 2007 by
Willy from Kemah, TX
“This hotel is a great value for extended stay persons who have an automobile. Bus service is poor and there is no place to shop close by. A taxi must be hired. Only one restaurant is close by for breakfast if you don't have a car and that restaurant is a Duncan donuts. After a few days you get tired of donuts for breakfast every day.” Dec 10, 2007 by
Traveler from New York, NY
“Warning: this hotel is far away from the airport. This is a basic 1 star hotel efficiency. The room was clean enough. But old appliances and cheaply renovated bathroom. The rug furniture seemed like it was from the 80s. I had to walk up one flight of stairs with my heavy luggage. No vending machines. Small pool.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Wendy from Colorado Springs, CO
“Friendly, helpful staff. West of the airport. Took a while for the van to come and get me at the airport.” Dec 6, 2007 by
Leslie from Marathon, FL
“I would recommend this hotel. And would have no problem trying the hotel chain in a different areas, when I'm traveling.” Dec 5, 2007 by
Desmond from Snellville, GA
“I really liked the hotel.” Nov 30, 2007 by
Javier from Adrian, MI
“After requesting a double bed because I had two children and my wife with me, they overcharged me another fee to have a double bed. After all, I ended up paying for a 2 star hotel as if it was a 5 star hotel. Not pleased with these people. Disappointed.” Nov 26, 2007 by
Robert from Melbourne Beach, FL
“Very clean room and grounds, great location close to airport, dining, shops. Next to a city park with facilities. Very nice stay at a great price.” Nov 8, 2007 by
Terry from Clearwater, FL
“This is a decent hotel for the price. The problem we had was that we booked 2 rooms, one for 2 adults and the other for 2 adults and 2 children. We were given 2 rooms with a queen bed, but luckily the front desk clerk was nice enough to help us get a room with double beds.” Oct 10, 2007 by
Debbie from Wesley Chapel, FL
“Hotel help was friendly and I liked the area. Shops were down the road and the expressway was a few blocks from hotel. The airplanes from the airport fly low to land at airport and could hear airplanes land throughout the night.” Sep 7, 2007 by
Alan from Pinellas Park, FL
“Your housekeeping staff is not regular and predictable and the room is not healthy. I got sick after I moved in and stayed that way till I moved out.” Aug 24, 2007 by
Deanna from Miramar, FL
“Its great to have a room that was clean and stocked with clean utensils and plates. it even had two cooking pots. it would be great for a long stay. Unfortunately, the front desk closing so early caused problems since I was not the only one who had a none working key.” Jul 20, 2007 by
Polly from Palmer, AK
“Hotel is pleasant. Dining is limited to two restaurants within walking distance. Not easily accessible to airport, should not be listed in airport area or should have shuttle.” Jul 6, 2007 by
Erica from Stuart, FL
“The staff was more friendly here than at any of the other hotels that I have recently stayed at.” Jul 4, 2007 by
Jl from Tampa, FL
“I stay here often. They said it was too late to check-in, and all the rooms were taken. I finally was able to get a smoking room (last choice!).” Jul 3, 2007 by
Erica from Stuart, FL
“The first 2 nights I was in the smaller room. I do not like this room. The larger room was fine, but for a 2 star hotel, I wouldn't have expected the small room to be so cramped.” May 22, 2007 by
Marcos from Lilburn, GA
“Excellent.” Apr 23, 2007 by
Marcel from Waedenswil Switzerland, SC
“It is a good motel with clean, large rooms. There were 2 double beds and a sofa, a built-on table with 2 chairs. We had a kitchenette that included a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave and a two-burner stove. Bathroom with tub is ok, but not too spacious. Nice pool. Guest Laundromats available. No ice-machine, breakfast not available at announced time.” Mar 26, 2007 by
Mark from Mobile, AL
“I wanted a hotel close to the airport since I was arriving a day before a conference began at another hotel. The conference hotel cost twice the price and came no where near the quality of service. They probably were very similar in terms of amenities (the conference hotel did have a pool), but nothing to double the price. I was extremely pleased with the location, the quality and the price of the homestead Miami airport hotel. Getting from the airport was a bit of a challenge as the shuttle service didn't know the location, and cabs seemed to miss it as well. They seem to have a van, but wasn't sure whether it was for the airport or some other service.” Mar 15, 2007 by
Kevin from Dekalb, IL
“Very good for $.” Mar 9, 2007 by
Ellen from Centreville, VA
“The hotel itself was clean and pleasant and staff were polite and helpful. But the amenities left something to be desired. The shuttle from the airport took over an hour to pick me up-I had to call twice. The kitchen in the room was great but there were no pots or pans to cook with or heat anything in. The continental breakfast was minimal.” Mar 1, 2007 by
Frank from Ny, NY
“Good hotel for the business traveler on the run.” Feb 28, 2007 by
Deb from Rollinsville, CO
“I had made this reservation concurrent with another 2 weeks prior. On the first visit my van was broken into in the parking lot because the hotel refuses to have any kind of security despite the fact the police department has asked them to. The staff was unconcerned about that event, and even refused to locate my room for this subsequent reservation where I could keep a visual look out on my vehicle. On the first visit my room was relatively clean, but on this visit the room was filthy. There was food on the walls in the kitchen and the bed linens had not been changed. ” Feb 27, 2007 by
Jean from Westerly, RI
“Filthy, poor hotel, you should be ashamed to even offer this to anyone. Never would I let my pets stay here.” Feb 20, 2007 by
Frank from Ny, NY
“Great for the business traveler.” Feb 15, 2007 by
Deb from Rollinsville, CO
“There was no security. Our van was broken into while parked under a light close to the hotel and 9,000 of my artwork stolen. A second van was also burglarized there while we were staying. The Miami springs police officer said incidents like this happen frequently there and the hotels on this street have been requested to install cameras and have security but they have not. I had traveled all the way from Colorado for art shows and this is a financial disaster for me.” Feb 13, 2007 by
Scott from Ferndale, MI
“Everything was fine.” Feb 6, 2007 by
Scott from Sarasota, FL
“Hotel was cleaner than the Howard Johnson¿s hotel and spa a few miles away at a better rate. Needs a few touch-ups, i.e. Tub drain did not hold water that well. But over all it was not too bad.” Feb 2, 2007 by
Cathy from Lindenhurst, IL
“Even though it's literally across the street from the airport, I only heard 3 jets during my 2-night stay and none after 10pm. Walls are thin so when my neighbor couldn't sleep at 3am, neither could I once he turned on his TV. Kitchen is fully stocked with pots pans dishes and complete with fridge and dishwasher. They give you dishwasher soap but not shampoo, which I thought strange. Since it's an extended stay, you have to request housekeeping which costs extra (including removing garbage), but they are very clear that they don't wash dishes. Very clean and roomy, I had two double beds and a sofa bed. All faucets dripped which bothered me, but I¿m a light sleeper. All in all, good value for the price paid.” Jan 29, 2007 by
Gary from Colville, WA
“Only one restaurant nearby - Chinese, two blocks away. Neighborhood looks seedy. No computer for public use. Shuttle doesn't start until 7 am and breakfast at six thirty. First room they gave was smoking. Asked for another and got one with malfunctioning ac. No luggage storage room in lobby for bags had to take all six bags to second floor room. Of time direct with hotel.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Clarence from Arcadia, FL
“The hotel was close to restaurants, airport, main roads, but quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.” Jan 19, 2007 by
Bambi from Tyler, TX
“We arrived at the hotel an hour or so before the 3pm check in. We were extremely exhausted and wanted to Nap before our 5pm dinner reservations. However this hotel was unable to allow that. They seemed pretty stern on this. It was not a big deal since it was our error in arriving ahead of schedule, but it was a little dishearten when no accommodations could be made. The room was clean and the kitchen area was very useful. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would still recommend the hotel, especially for longer stays.”
