Tony from Palm Harbor, FL
“Good.” May 11, 2008 by
Kathie from Parsippany, NJ
“We received a king size smoking bedroom for a family of four non-smokers. The room smelled really bad and we would not have fit in a king size bed all together. The staff was quick to help. They had no vacancies to move us to a better room, however, they offered to bring in an ionizer immediately and also brought to our room a roll away bed before we even got to the room after the check in desk.” May 2, 2008 by
Ron from Naples, FL
“Complementary breakfast which is usually provided at this price.” Apr 28, 2008 by
Cecile from Phoenix, AZ
“It is perfectly located facing the beach. The unbelievable room we got was on the top floor with an amazing view on the beach, the marina, the International Swimming Hall of Fame. We got a junior suite which allowed us to fit our young son in the sofa bed. The staff treated us like any other customer.” Apr 16, 2008 by
Tim from Orlando, FL
“It was labeled as a Double Tree however other than the dining area, meeting rooms and lobby it felt like a motel 8.” Apr 8, 2008 by
Toni from Orange Park, FL
“The rooms were very clean and the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again as well as recommend it to friends and family.” Apr 6, 2008 by
Denise from Winter Garden, FL
“Hotel was clean and great location and parking. But the pool was too small, kids pool was not heated and really didn't have a bar or restaurant to enjoy out by the pool.” Mar 9, 2008 by
David from Livonia, MI
“Very nice stay. Staff very courteous and helpful. Food very good and tasty, especially the fire baked pizza. Would recommend and I would stay again.” Mar 5, 2008 by
Harvey from Merrimack Nh
“Family of 9 (ages 8 to 70) vacation was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Staff was friendly and helpful. Restaurant was impressive. Beach was private and easily accessible. Rooms were clean. Parking was convenient and abundant. Location was excellent. All in all, this hotel will be a future destination for us as well.” Nov 7, 2007 by
Kate from Silver Spring, MD
“The cocoa beach doubletree ocean front hotel is a relaxing, clean hotel in a beautiful ocean front location. The pool area is fabulous, the view is fantastic, and the staff is friendly and responsive. I would recommend this hotel to families, couples, and business travelers. I can't wait to go back!” Oct 18, 2007 by
Ann from Cary, NC
“If you are looking for a family friendly hotel, close to the beach, this one was good. We visited during the off season. The staff was pleasant, our room was clean, the pool was wonderful and we enjoyed the beach. It was close to many activities in cocoa and also close to a number of restaurants. The hotel restaurant serves a very well rounded breakfast buffet that we enjoyed one morning.” Sep 21, 2007 by
John from Port Charlotte, FL
“My "non-smoking" room reeked of smoke and when I said something I was told I got the room I paid for. Would never stay there again. Other amenities were fine though.” Sep 1, 2007 by
Chris from Pearland, TX
“Certainly not a five star, but it fulfilled our needs.” Aug 27, 2007 by
Karen from Holland, MI
“A pleasant stay. Comfortable but not exactly outstanding. Although all the rooms have ocean views, most of them have better views of other hotels and condos. We had to turn off our AC to sit on the balcony because of the noise and heat coming from the unit. Nice size room for a family, but no place to hang swimsuits after a swim in the ocean or very small pool. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, but might also check out other hotels in the area.” Aug 22, 2007 by
Chrissy from Delco, NC
“It was a very beautiful hotel on the beach; the staff was courteous and polite. Our room was beautiful and clean and the beds were very comfortable!” Jul 30, 2007 by
Erin from Roswell, GA
“The hotel overall was great. I didn't like the fact that we had to sleep 3 to a bed and 1 on a roll away.” Jun 24, 2007 by
Kim from Micco, FL
“Beautiful view with balcony, nice friendly staff, great beds, clean, pool was small, no hot tub and cabanas at beach you have to pay for even though on their website it has a picture of them and does not say they cost.” Jun 23, 2007 by
Lynette from Hampton Cove, AL
“The hotel was nicely located on the beach and near shopping and dining area. Overall I enjoyed my stay.” Jun 14, 2007 by
Sharon from Batavia, OH
“Overall, a great experience. The heated pool was comfortable. Service and food were great. The hotel is located on the beach!” May 15, 2007 by
Laurie from Nebraska City, NE
“From the minute we walked into this hotel the staff was very friendly and the hotel was extremely clean. We arrived early (9:30am) after having been on a cruise and were given a room despite the early arrival. Our room was very neat and clean, no complaints at all! The pool is small but you can walk directly from the hotel to the beach. The beach area was clean and very nice. There are showers to clean off the sand upon entering the pool area again after the beach. The beds were very comfortable and the linens very nice. There was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room as well and we had a partial view of the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. The only two negatives and they are slight, are: the pool was small and there are no restaurants in the immediate vicinity except for the hotel's. If you do not have a car or want to walk to eat, forget it. There is a Wendy's close by and a grocery store but other than that you need a car to get around.” May 10, 2007 by
Kate from Newnan, GA
“This hotel was in a very nice location with a great ocean view and very nice rooms.” May 4, 2007 by
Sheila from Cocoa, FL
“I would recommend it to my family and friends.” Apr 27, 2007 by
Lissa from Debary, FL
“The first time we stayed at this hotel. We received a King/no smoking room with a great view of the ocean. The only negative was the hotel had construction going on at the pool. This time it was our anniversary. At check in we were told we had a smoking room with 2 double beds. They had rooms available but could not move us due to the price we paid.” Apr 25, 2007 by
Audrey from Orlando, FL
“Pool was crowded with kids so we avoided that. Parking is easy and free. Direct beach access was a plus. Disappointing that almost all rooms are only partial ocean view. Disappointed that as a couple, we had to accept a room with 2 double beds. Fortunately, we were lucky enough to get a non-smoking room! Beds were very comfortable after we pushed them both together.” Apr 25, 2007 by
Jean from Oklahoma City, OK
“This was the nicest hotel I have stayed at in the Cocoa Beach area. The location is fantastic (oceanfront) and all rooms have an ocean "view". The beds were super comfortable (especially the pillows!), and the room was clean, large, and had a fridge! The pool was small, but heated enough for us to get in on a "cooler" day. We would have liked to have stayed a week instead of a night!” Apr 25, 2007 by
Teresa from Orlando, FL
“This was a decent hotel. The pool area was not great. But overall it was good.” Apr 24, 2007 by
Michelle from Long Beach, CA
“I was traveling with my 12 and 14 year old sons. We had a great time. The location was perfect, nice beach area and pool area as well.” Apr 2, 2007 by
Nancy from Springfield, MO
“This hotel was very enjoyable for spring break for our family. We were able to walk out on the beach from the hotel and it had a small but heated pool. The pier was close by which had shops and beach activities.” Mar 3, 2007 by
Brian from Pittsford, NY
“Great for us and our two day stay in the area.” Feb 22, 2007 by
Bill from Maitland, FL
“We were staying here just one night for a soccer tournament nearby. The hotel is right on the beach so the kids played in the sand and we got to see a delta rocket launch that evening. It was awesome. The doubletree has nice pool. We loved the hotel and the kids loved the cookies too. The staff was veering friendly and room was nice and big. The only bad I would say about the hotel are the food at the restaurant. The food was way overpriced for the poor quality. Maybe the ingredients started out premium but it sure did not need up that way on the plate. There are many other riding options nearby or if you stick with basics like a burger or sandwich you would be ok.” Feb 4, 2007 by
Richard from Fort Myers, FL
“The room was adequate. The room was spacious for two. We were there for two days and when returning on the second day, we saw the room had not been vacuumed; the bathroom counter where they keep the shampoos had never been dusted. We drank decaf coffee, but the replacement was regular. They should have checked.” Jan 25, 2007 by
Carol from Louisville, KY
“I feel that we got a good price for this time of the year and the accommodations were excellent. The hotel is on the beach and has a restaurant with good food and reasonable priced wine. We loved having our balcony door open and listening to the ocean waves as we sleep. It was wonderful walking on the beach each morning and night.” Jan 24, 2007 by
Sharon from Vienna, VA
“The hotel had a good location on the beach. The rooms were just average such as a hotel on the beach. Not as nicely decorated as a typical doubletree hotel.” Jan 17, 2007 by
Jo A. from Tampa, FL
“The hotel lobby is Spartan and drab. This decor carries throughout the entire building. It also appears to be one of the older hotels on the beach and has not been well maintained or updated. The rooms lack sufficient sound proofing. A baby in a room two doors down crying off and on all night plus loud guests returning to their rooms between 1:30 and 4 a.m. Kept me up most of the night. I am considered a sound sleeper. The ventilation is so poor that cigarette smoke from people smoking in the hallway or other rooms on a nonsmoking floor easily contaminated the air of my nonsmoking rooms. On top of all this, the hotel has an antiquated water heating system that is incapable of providing a sufficient supply to all rooms. I just stepped into the shower and lathered my hair when the warm water turned cold. I don't mean cool. I mean ice cold! This hotel does not even deserve one star let alone the three it supposedly has. I have stayed in hotels located in third world countries that were more comfortable. This was my first and last time staying in a doubletree and may be my first and last time using your service if this is typical of the hotels you list.” Jan 15, 2007 by
Mary J. from Fuquay Varina, NC
“Hotel was great and convenient to Kennedy space center. Employees were very friendly and helpful; greeted us with warm, fresh cookies. View was spectacular. Convenient to shops and restaurants. Very clean.” Dec 29, 2006 by
Allison from Tallahassee, FL
“I liked the hotel, but it was clearly empty. When I arrived the person who checked us in confirmed a room for two double beds. I merely asked if we could have a king bed or two queens. She acted as if I had asked her for a million dollars. So her reaction to my request really ruined my stay. Also, on check-out there were too many charges to my room. The check-out person could not resolve them and I am still trying to reach the hotel accountant without any luck or a call back.” Oct 17, 2006 by
Theresa from Brooksville, FL
“I would recommend to friends based on the room and the comfortable beds which far outweigh the terrible outside appearance of the hotel and the fact they did not have a Jacuzzi. TOO much money for hotel.” Aug 28, 2006 by
Mary from Kenmore, WA
“The pool was closed for maintenance during our stay. The hotel should have notified guests with reservations. No alternatives were offered.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Pam from Deland, FL
“If the pool had been opened it would have been the perfect hotel. It is close to everything, located right on the beach and the rooms are very nice.” Aug 17, 2006 by
Grant from Lexington, KY
“The hotel was very well kept, and very clean. You are right on the beach, which can be seen from every room. The beds are extremely comfortable, probably the most comfortable I have ever experienced in a hotel. Large refrigerators in every room, as well as a microwave, Internet connection, coffee maker and other standard amenities In August, when we traveled, the beach was not crowded at all. The NASA facilities are viewable in the distance, and the visitor center is a short drive. My wife and our young daughter had a great time as well. Seems to be perfect for couples getting away, or families traveling together. Though I doubt that is true during spring break.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Jul 11, 2006 by

“Walking distance to the beach with a small pool area but no Jacuzzi. Restaurant should be avoided as food quality is poor. Must rent lounge chairs for the beach. Water taste is somewhat bad. Rooms have microwave and fridge.” Jul 3, 2006 by
Maria from Winston-Salem, NC
“Great location and the best night sleep I have ever had (beds were very comfortable). Too bad we could not enjoy a longer stay.” Jun 22, 2006 by
Tammie from Boise, ID
“We were very disappointed in the lack of service at this Doubletree and in the room itself too and the front desk people were extremely rude. The room itself was small, lacked adequate towels, wasn't clean and it smelled awful. Despite two separate requests, we never received any additional towels. Then, as we were leaving, we were talking to a room service person in the elevator, he laughingly asked if we knew anyone at that hotel and when we said no, he asked us who we'd made ticked off to get to stuck in that little room. He was trying to be funny, I think, but it really seemed to be a valid question. Although this hotel is located convenient to the car rental agencies and the cruise terminals and is directly on the beach, the lack of service and the lack of room quality made this a terrible experience and we would not recommend a stay at this hotel to anyone.” Jun 6, 2006 by
Sandy from Apopka, FL
“We will be back for another stay in the future. ” May 21, 2006 by
Lydia from Arthur, ON CA
“The Doubletree Hotel in Cocoa Beach was a pleasant pre-cruise choice right on the ocean. A friendly check-in with complimentary warm cookie and accessible fruit basket in the lobby was a nice touch. The beds were extremely comfortable , although the views from the balcony were hardly ocean view unless you obtained a higher floor you had a lovely view of the air conditioners. The property is well maintained with a restaurant on site and a pool as well as the ocean although no hot tub. ” May 12, 2006 by
Mike from Huntington Station, NY
“Staff was excellent, the view was great, and the food was good and overall great hotel.” 1 of 2 people found this review helpful.May 7, 2006 by

“Though I did not use it, the pool looked to be average to better than average. Easy beach access. Free Internet access. Great location, right in the middle of Cocoa Beach. Most rooms have balconies. Plenty of free parking. Short drive to Port Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. Four major rental car locations near by. I was very happy with my stay at this hotel.” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.
