“Truly a spectacular hotel. Friendly staff. Shops and entertainment within walk or short drive. Amenities can't be beaten for the price. Rooms were very comfortable. Was in town for a wedding in the area so not sure of relation to downtown. Would have to look in to that if planning downtown activities. Great stay!”

• Nothing. Great hotel!

“We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us out in anyway that they could. The front desk staff were very kid friendly. They talk to not only us, but also with my 4 year old son. They made us feel right at home. We used the bellboy on Sunday morning when we left to help us with our luggage and he was a very nice and helpful young man. A wonderful experience!”

• Beautiful room with all the comforts. Classy decor and very friendly staff in great setting, close to restaurants, stores and entertainment.
• No complimentary Continental breakfast, except for VIP's.

“More than I expected for the price I offered and was accepted. The lobby was under remodeling, but the rest of the hotel was clean, the staff friendly, and the room was awesome!”

• Courteous staff! Really clean rooms!
• Lobby renovation work was noisy, even on the 11th floor starting at 8 a.m.

“Fabulously friendly and helpful staff at all times. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, amenities were great, exercise room was beyond expectations. One minor concern (and it's really minor) is parking. Two cars in the parking lot were broken into one night here's a no-brainer: don't leave valuables VISIBLE in the car (duh). Close parking is not always possible, especially if the hotel is hosting several events at one time. But it's free parking, so why complain?! And there's always valet parking.”

• The rooms were very clean and the beds were most comfortable.
• There was not an indoor pool.

“This Hilton was very modern and had beautiful decor. The staff was very welcoming, even when they saw my three year old! The rooms were spotless and the beds were more comfortable than my memory foam at home!”

• We told the hotel staff we are on a romantic getaway, and they left chocolate-covered strawberries in our room.
• I honestly can't think of a thing!

“The front desk staff was awesome, room service food was delicious, the location was perfect (in walking distance to restaurants and shops), and it was reasonably priced! It was just what my husband and I wanted for an overnight getaway. I am still smiling just thinking about what a great experience we had.”

• The decor was nice and the bathroom seemed to be recently remodeled.
• The toilet was slightly dirty and one of the chairs in the room looked beat up a bit.

“I would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to stay in Charlotte. It is in the good location and I got a great price on the room. The king sized bed was very roomy!”

• There is no complimentary breakfast, one set of elevators for the whole hotel.

• Awesome location. 10 minutes away from North lake Mall and Concord Mills, right off of I-85, and major restaurants and wall-mart neighboring the hotel.
• The walls were kind of thin. I could hear the conversation in the next room. The front desk staff were not very helpful.

“I would stay here again. The hotel has an excellent location, right off of I-85. There were many major restaurants neighboring the hotel. The only problem I had was the walls being thin. I can here the tenants' conversation next door clearly.”

• The lobby was small and being renovated.

• Two wedding parties during check in, so we had to park a long way off. Smoking only outside or in bar&

“Stayed on executive level. Nice touches included floor to ceiling windows overlooking small lake, and flat panel TV. Otherwise, very average room. Nothing special. Coffee maker in room, but no fridge or DVD player. Lobby area very crowded because of two large wedding parties. Bar very crowded since it's the only designated smoking area in the building.”

• The staff was out standing. Very friendly, helpful and courteous.

“Location is ideal if you're looking for good places to eat and shop. Easy on/off of hwy 85. Nice walking trail and things to do on the boardwalk, which is directly accessible from the rear of the hotel. Staff is very friendly, helpful and courteous. Rooms were very spacious and well appointed. I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but people have said it was very good.”

“I thought this was an Oasis of Peace; especially it's location on a small water feature. Even with a convention of middle school football players, it was quiet and dignified. I got a lot of rest!”

• I was given a choice of a twin rollout or queen air mattress for a bed the first night.

“Everything about the hotel was wonderful except that I had no bed the first night of my stay. The minimum requirement of a hotel room should be a bed. 2 hours of sleep the first night on a queen air mattress that leaked really starts your stay off bad.”

• Very good attention to detail regarding cleanliness.
• The management was not able to control the noise in the hallways late into the night/early morning.

“The hotel is very conveniently located to uncc and is very well maintained. Cleanliness is first rate. The management was unable to control very loud adults in the hallways early into the morning hours. There were also two calls from other rooms (by error?)Awakening us. This wasn't a very restful stay, irrespective of an attractive, well maintained, and convenient hotel.”

• Friendly staff, excellent morning breakfast with fresh fruits and strong coffee.
• Smaller bar area than normal, but the bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area.

“Great location, with super view of the lake. One can see all the wild birds and white swan swimming together as the sun sets. A great way to enjoy the end of the day along with a bottle of wine.”

• This hotel is an older property, but the decor is wonderfully modern.
• Valet lots close to the entrance not a very client friendly plan with all the events.

“Great get a way spot. The rooms are very comfortably and tastefully designed. I expected lots of noise because the hotel had 2 or 3 weddings and another event, but it was very quiet. I was very pleased with the price and the value.”

• Noisy neighbors, loose commode, our room didn't cool too well.

“Beautiful hotel, great staff. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were tastefully decorated. It would have been wonderful except that we had very noisy neighbors and my husband had to get up early for work. The air didn't seem to cool the room too well and the commode was loose.”

• The gift shop in the lobby was over priced.
