“Incredible staff. I left my winter coat at the hotel and called 4-5 days after checking out to see if it was still there. Not only did they have it, they shipped it to me free of charge! Thank you for a wonderful experience!”

• Room was clean and modern.
• There was no complimentary breakfast and no microwave in room.

“This property was an excellent value for the money. The room was very clean and the hotel was quiet and looked as if it were new or recently renovated. My bed was very comfortable but my business associate complained that his mattress sagged in the middle. The two beds seemed to be equal so it might have been psychosomatic. The biggest disappointment was there was no complimentary continental breakfast as there are in other 2.5 star properties in the area. Also, a microwave would have been a nice touch in the room as there was already a refrigerator. One other little thing: the hotel should put out cookies on Friday nights as well as Thursday nights. Finally, the in-room coffee maker was defective. While there was free internet, the rooms were not wireless and the computer had to be tied to a rather short Ethernet cable.”

“Everything from delay at check-in for the staff requiring a copy of my driver's license (which I do not do for potential identity theft reasons). The room needed repairs, especially in the bathroom with the broken on/off water value in the tube which resulted in little or no hot water. I did not have time to request a room change.”

• You could not really see the TV from the bed. I kept thinking that it would fall down off the little swivel thing it was on.

“This hotel was great, I had a nice king size bed in a very clean room, internet access, and plenty of parking. For the money I spent I was very impressed with the room I got.”

• I liked the hotel's beds and comfort.
• Did not refund my extra night that I told a week earlier.

“I don't want to hear anything about that is how we negotiated the better price. This motel was being renovated in a great location--and there were many rooms available on Friday night. I paid for the Saturday motel and left at 7 that morning. I arrived at 11 pm fir night --it cost me 16 dollars per hour from when I walked in to when I walked out.”

• Staff was very courteous and friendly/professional. Grounds were attractive. Mattress/bedding was fantastic!
• Construction in progress and room too close to noise. Elevators used by contractors. Understandable.

“We had a pleasant stay in charlotte. The hotel is located in an excellent location and the ground was attractive with flowers, etc. Despite the ongoing remodeling and the slight inconveniences it creates, we enjoyed our Marriott experience. The staff was excellent and attentive to our needs. The room was very pleasant and the bedding was exceptional! Great bedding is the difference between a good experience and a memorable experience. We appreciated the generous breakfast. The staff working in the dining area was friendly and helpful.”

• It was very clean and the room smelled very clean without that disinfectant order.
• The only thing we really didn't like was the very soft bed since we are used to a very firm one.

“It was in a nice area, with access to some good restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was small, but very clean and nice. We were very comfortable. There was a slight incontinence because of the remodeling they were doing, but we didn't find it much of a problem.”

• The security of it at 11 pm all doors are locked and you have to use your card key for entrance.
• Some of the parking a little ways from a bldg entrance.

“Overall, I was happy with my stay. The staff was accommodating with changing my room from a double to a king when I call to confirmed reservations. Quick and easy check-in and out process.”

• I liked the spaciousness of the room.
• Directions to this hotel were way off. The link for directions needs upgraded.

“This room and the entire hotel was clean, easy to get in and out of once you found it. Directions were not clear enough for a first time traveler to this area. Close and easy to get to downtown Charlotte and easy to get to Davidson College for the football game. Shopping and every kind of food you would want were very close as were two major highways. The large fluffy pillows per person per bed were great. Room was comfortable and easy to manage the temperature. Would like to see more television channels on the TV, but still very good compared to most hotel chains. All in all an excellent hotel with nice staff and excellent accommodations. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or around Charlotte.”

• Only gave the room 3 towels when it was 2 queen set up, but when asked for additional it was given with a smile.

• No wireless internet. Only the wired type.

“Everything about this hotel was impeccable except for the lack of wireless internet access. There is a normal wired access, but I do not have an Ethernet port on my laptop. Apparently, all Marriott hotels are this way. I would stay here again for the comfort, and as long as I do not need to go online.”

• The bed was extremely comfortable.
• The description of the room was 1 king size bed and a sleeper sofa.. the was the bed but no sofa, it was a chair and ottoman.

• Very clean, usually we bring our own sheets to put on the beds, the linen was so white this is the first we left them in our suitcase.
• We had a 2 year old, they had a snack and beverage set up next to the check-in counter w/beer and sodas, but of course no milk so we had to go out.

“It was very clean, everything we had expected and the cleanliness was outstanding, very hospitable, the only set back they need to add small cartons of milk to there beverage list, that they sell by the registration counter. It was very inconvenient every night to go get milk, since there was no ref. in the rooms.”

• Reservation was lost after 3 days of the stay.

“Nice, quite, clean and close to attractions. But the third day of my stay, Courtyard over booked my room to somebody else and I was in the room while the other customer walked-in. The receptionist apologized to me and she said that for some reason she lost my reservation and had to re do it again. Luckily I was in the room when it happened. I was annoyed by what happen but the overall experience was good.”
